Ive gone through hell and back the last month, trying to save my baby.

Unfortunately I cant find anything elsw that we could do.

She has IBD, some sort of viral infection, which explains her difficult sheds, lack of appetite, quick weight loss, and head tilting. It acts like an autoimmune disease, making her susceptible to infections and other diseases.

She has no energy left. She's let me know shes done fighting.

Bringing her in now for euthanasia. Please no ugly words, im already grieving.

Hi I’m trying to find someone willing to take in my 4 year old male banana enchi ball python. He’s super sweet and good with handling. Also not a fussy eater, he’s on frozen thawed rats. Comes with 40 gal glass enclosure, deep heat projector, led+uvb lamp, herpstat 2, hides decor and other essentials. No rehoming fee, just want him to go to someone who will give him the care he needs. I’m trying to find a place for him asap bc I’m moving by the end of the month. If you have questions lmk. Learning how to care for them, their body language, made me realize how much I misunderstood these awesome creatures.

If you have a fear or phobia, learn about them. I took 2 days, watched every video I could. Then I found Bob and the Green room and he taught me so much I felt confident in getting my own.

So now we have 3 lol, mine, my husband's and my sons who is just for now (hopefully he'll forget I have her lol).

These guys are amazing, getting over this fear empowered me so much, and I owe it all to this guy. Love you Mando ❤️

I recently got a ball python his name is Muti and I’ve been getting his rats from deans rodents and reptiles but due to it being very expensive I was wondering if I could get him rats from anywhere else that would be cheap but good before I buy more from them

Peanut is about six years old, male and lives in a 40 gallon tank. He got skinny (my fault) but his feeding schedule is way better now (one weened rat every 6 days with handling the day before feeding day) im currently trying to get him to warm up to me as he has displayed some defensive tendencies. Should i get a better heating lamp as well? Any other suggestions?

Originally I used a 6% UVB light for my noodle but it’s burnt out. The fixture came with a 10%. Is it safe to use that if I set the fixture at 50%?

Hey everyone!

I’m super excited to share that I just got my very first ball python from an online breeder, and I’m already completely in love with her! 💛

I did a bit of research beforehand and heard that BPs (especially Bananas) can change colors or develop a lot of black freckles as they grow up.

The breeder told me that because she has Pastel, it should inhibit most of those Banana freckles, while Fire and Enchi will keep her pattern clean, bright, and pop out the yellow tones. They basically said what I see now is pretty close to how she’ll look as an adult without massive changes.

Since I’m a total beginner and morph genetics are still pretty complex for me, I’d LOVE to see photos of your adult BPs, and it would be fantastic if any of you have similar combos! Thanks so much in advance, can’t wait to be a part of the community! ✨

Hello! I just recently got a ball python and i wanted to make sure he’s thriving in his enclosure, its my first snake so im kinda stressing out making sure everything is good for him, so i just wanted to ask for advice with humidity, it keeps dropping below 50% on the hot side, i just taped 70% of the enclosure with aluminum foil and hvac tape since i read that helps keeping in the humidity, any other advices to help keep everything up to standards? I do have a thermostat, hot side is at a constant 90 F and cold is at 80-82 F with a 65% humidity, any other help is also welcome, thank you! 😊

We got Lieutenant Dan a new terrarium and got it set up. We'll be getting him more climbing opportunities today. He did this within 10 minutes of being in here and fell into his water bowl like 30 seconds later. And he literally scared the crap out of himself cause my husband had to fish a slimy turd out of his water bowl 😂

Got home from a long day out with the GF and couldn't find her. Lo and behold, hidden in plain sight 😅

Before its said, yes I'm aware her substrate is subpar and needs changing. Luckily her tank is getting a massive upgrade (as well as my beardie's tank) when Amazon ships the hardware. Sadly for now it is what it is. I set her tank up with a misunderstanding, but I have the soil, moss, and coconut fiber to give her a proper (hopefully) substrate.

Is there anything i can do to help her without harming her? like any products or tips for shedding?

I'm getting a ballpython, and with that i ofcourse want to make sure the enclosure is good, im aiming for a juvenile/adult (I dont mind its age as long as it isnt too young).

I would like advice on if the hides and clutter are good, i think i should add another branch and a third hide, but for the rest im not sure what i could do better; please recommend stuff. 💙

(The wood has been treated and i put pond liner at the bottom, the heating and lamp situation is all good and i dont need advice on it, but thank you! Also, im going to change the meters since i heard those i have in the last picture are pretty bad.)

I'm genuinely tired of seeing things like this. She says she'll listen to evidence backed points. Even after I and a bunch of other people have told her about the red light, lack of foliage, and cohabitation (and other things). But she just keeps deleting comments or just ignoring them and laughing about "opinions". So my question is, does anyone have any links to current evidence backed articles or care guides that they'd be willing to share. Bc i'd like to try to make a change, ik it's probably not possible but i'd feel like human trash if I didn't try.

i have a ball python and she's pretty big she was raised in a rack, i don't know how big. but she's pretty chunky, she lost some weight but she's just muscular. i have her in a 4 by 2 by 2 but i want to get a 5 by 2 by 2. Even though she was raised in a small encloure for most of her life, is it a problem to get the bigger enclosure? so, she grew up in a smaller one but ive always heard bigger is better. Is this true? what's best? and even if she doesn't grow out of it i still kind of think she should get a bigger enclosure cause i heard its just better for their lives.

How do you all preserve a shed you want to keep as a memory? Can you show me pictures?

My boy(?) is 6, 1141g, a little over 4ft long, how much should I be feeding him? Right now he gets fed a large rat every 30-40 days, am I overfeeding?

So I usually keep my boy’s rat warmed up underneath his light, but he was extra ready today and struck at the top of the enclosure, he only got his teeth stuck in the wire net for a second but I just wanted to know if there’s anything I should look out for health wise? like i don’t know if they can break teeth or if it’ll get infected or what and I just worry a lot about him. I feel absolutely awful and I don’t know if he’s okay 😢

I recently got my BP Goobert, last Wednesday. I transferred him from a 20g to this 120g a day after because that’s when the enclosure came in.

I understand new snakes are very shy the first week so i’ve been leaving him alone. But he only comes out at night and explores in the big white circle and mainly wall surfs. The little circle is his hide entrance. All he does is explore up the and the corner. I’m concerned he’s stressed but i have no clue what could be causing it.
As far as i know he has not been much far past his hide entrance. I don’t think he knows there is a cool side.

Recently been seeing alot of display cases going for dirt cheap or free and was thinking about picking one up and using it as a enclosure,just need some advice on what I would need to do to the case to keep humidity up, and what would I possibly need to replace? Most of the cases that I’m interested are mainly glass with little to no wood

i have a baby ball python, about the size of a palm, or the length of a 20 gallon tall tank. there’s 2 hides in there and two empty paper towel rolls because I had one in there and they really liked it so i put 2 with a total of 4 hides and 1 water dish, what else do i need?
