Question - Humidity Aspren substrate

I just moved my ball python which is a female to a bigger box I tried coco husk but I marked it up and it was way too wet so I applied aspren the reptile shop told me that aspren doesn’t need to be wet at all and that I should expect low humidity and adviced me to put a big water bowl that she can enter to wet herself but I noticed that my dry aspren holds a humidity of 78-80% which is perfect but also concerning. Can anyone tell me why? I did check to see if it’s wt and it’s definitely not at all.

What is your household humidity? What type of heating do you have? Do you mean “Aspen” substrate?

It’s around 57% and I do not plug my heat mat because it’s already 32 degrees Celsius in the box because of hot summers in my area and you can google the substrate “aspren snake substrate”
