Former Player Angel Correa is signing for River Plate for 17 million!
he recently lost a final in which he missed a penalty hope he can keep his head up after that

I feel like not many Atlético fans still remember Kevin Gameiro.
I was really excited when we signed him. If I remember correctly, he wasn’t even our first choice—we had tried to sign Aubameyang and Higuaín before ending up with Gameiro.
Personally, I don’t think he failed because he was a bad player. The competition for places was intense, and the expectations were incredibly high after what he had done at Sevilla. On top of that, he arrived for a significant transfer fee, so people expected him to immediately become our main goalscorer.
He definitely had his moments, but I’ll never forget that one-on-one chance against Real Madrid. Then there was the missed penalty against Barcelona, the chance against Espanyol, and so many simple opportunities that he somehow couldn’t put away.
Even so, I still think he could have had a much better career at Atlético if a few things had gone his way. His profile seemed like exactly the type of forward Simeone usually gets the best out of.

Does anyone know where I can watch the full 1966 Atletico de Madrid (3) - Brasil (5) game that was played in the Bernabeu?

It's partly due to watching us win the world cup, but I have to say I've done a 180 , our midfield feels strong , if Alvarez stays and Kang in lee, Baena , Lookman and Giuliano can all be consistent I think our attack is gonna be pretty strong , I feel Pubill can only get better , hopefully he ain't a one season wonder . Feels like we are on a bit of a upward trajectory , last season wasnt terrible , and I'm hopeful to compete for la liga and trophies , I think supercopa is possible , we have a good chance Vs Barca I think

Could be good business for us to move off him this summer.

Like idk. Every season im usually really excited and full of belief and hope for us and things to go well, and occasionally we do get good blips (getting to a final ucl semi final ) but it always comes crashing down. Idk it might be the julian situation too and stuff. I really really want us to do well but none of these signings excite me. I feel like we can definitely win stuff but idk but stuff like winning la liga / ucl/ Copa del Rey, stuff that felt plausible in seasons gone by feel less likely. It might just be I miss seeing the team play. It might be idk. I just don't know why I'm so lost if hope( cholo outers don't use this as a excuse ) but hey maybe this is a jinx and this season we win the quadruple

I am a relatively new Atletico fan, and I saw the report that our club has the most number of players in the World Cup final.
My question is, if our players are this good without resorting to defensive tactics, how is our club still struggling to win trophies for the past 5 years? I know everyone wants to blame certain players like Sorloth,Alvarez, etc or even Cholo, but I still don't understand what is the main reason. Is it because our players' synergy is bad compared to other clubs? Is it because we are constantly "parking the bus" according to other teams?

Hello Everyone, next year I’m planing a trip with my friends and I would love to go with them to an Atleti match, I was thinking on a Atleti vs Rayo Vallecano or Atleti vs Athletic de Bilbao, since I’m not a member I’m not sure how realistic is my plan, how early should I try to get the tickets, where do you recommend me to get it.
Now that we have the calendar these matches are in May 2027.
Any help would be appreciated.

Atleti has 10 players in the final.
Marcos Llorente, Marc Pubill, Álex Baena and Alejandro Grimaldo (Spain).
Juan Musso, Nahuel Molina, Nico González, Julián Alvarez, Thiago Almada and Giuliano Simeone (Argentina).
That's a significant amount of players from one team.
Any predictions on how our players might influence the final?

Credit where credit is due, even though Baena was third choice for the left in Spain after Nico and Pino, yet he has consistently been one of the best players on the team this WC. Dude is insanely talented. Let's hope he gets a more central role this second season, now that Griezzou is gone I think it's his time to shine!

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong subreddit to ask!
I have a very good friend who together with his 3 brothers has been a die hard Atletico Madrid fan for most of his life. Over the past years, he has kindly included me in a lot of the football gatherings, although I’m just a novice when it comes to football.
Anyway, his birthday is coming up, and I would like to show my thanks by giving him a special Atletico Madrid present.
Now for my question: What would you recommend? A certain legendary player’s signed T-shirt and should it be home turf T-shirt or not? I have been thinking of buying a Simeone T-shirt from 95/96, but perhaps there is a more suitable choice for the die hard fan?
Thanks a lot for your time!

I recently put together a seating guide for people visiting the Metropolitano for the first time.
https://cholismo-lab.com/en/columns/metropolitano-seating-guide
I wrote it because choosing a seat can be quite confusing when you do not know the stadium, and I would hate for someone travelling to Madrid for a match to regret where they sat.
The guide looks at the central Laterals, Fondo Sur, Fondo Norte and the different tiers, depending on whether you care most about the view, atmosphere, visiting with family or keeping the price down.
My general recommendation is a central seat in Lateral Este or Lateral Oeste for a first visit. Fondo Sur makes more sense if atmosphere is the priority, while Fondo Norte may be a better option for families.
That said, I have only been to the Metropolitano once myself. I checked the club’s current information, the official seating map and the relevant rules, but I know that is not the same as going regularly.
So if anything feels inaccurate, incomplete or different from your own experience, please let me know. I would much rather correct the article than leave someone with bad advice.
Where would you recommend for a first visit? Are there any particular blocks, rows or sections you would choose or avoid?

Look, he may not be a fan favorite. He doesn’t get nearly as much love as he should.. and at times it feels like we’re not seeing the best of him. But all that said, he’s given us some superb seasons with tons of goals. Some HUGE goals as well, but that often get overlooked.
With all the criticism and hate he is getting from nearly every channel, subreddit, instagram page I’ve seen today.. let’s please show him that as long as he wears our badge and leaves it all out on the field, then we at Atleti support him. Congrats on an amazing World Cup and for inspiring and captivating the world with making it so far.
