Hello! Title should be self explanatory. I am an Admissions Delegate at ASMSA and I will be a senior next year. I would describe myself as a very average ASMSA student, so I'd love to answer some questions for you guys (parents, incoming students, applicants, etc).

Just keep in mind, though I am an Admissions Delegate, this AMA is not affiliated with ASMSA directly, I'm going to be given answers based off my actual lived experience. That should cover my bases, lol.

I know they’ll probably come out soon but im just impatient since im like 60% sure i remember them saying they will be released by the end of orientation week. Does anyone remember when they came out in the previous years or anything?

I’m considering applying next cycle as a sophomore, I have the scores. I play football at my current school and I know they say you can do sports at ASMSA through HSHS but is that realistic? also is there any way to be involved in EAST initiative there?

My daughters capstone project of choice is full. Is this normal? I hate that she doesn’t get to choose her own capstone. She’s already heavily involved in biomedical research but she’s stuck in the RIP capstone because life sciences is full. RIP is just so out of sync with her interests.

Hi!! I’m a student planning to apply for the 27-28 school year and I have. Lots of questions. I know I could ask these during a tour, but I get scared lmao. First off I’ve been seeing “art pod” a lot and what is that exactly? Also, do you pick between math science and art or is it all of them at the same time? Oh and what is the course-load like on like a 1-10 scale (I think I can handle high ones, would just like to know)? Are clubs/extracurriculars something to actually consider or are they underwhelming? Is the student body very accepting of lgbt and stuff, I’d assume so but yknow? I think that’s all the questions I had but yeah I’d really appreciate some answers 😁😁😁
