Huge friction reduction! Knew it would didn’t realize how much though.

Just got a new Arrma Vorteks and first hobby grade RC car. Motor to esc male bullet plug came unsoldered on second pack. Running 3S but only at 50%. Not hitting any thermal cutoff. Tried cutting back wire and re-soldering but cannot get my 100w station to put down enough heat on these wires to even tin them first, though I’ve soldered heavier gauge wire before so IDK. Done a lot of home theater speaker work and grabbed these beefy dual offset screw down banana plugs. They fit perfectly and are very tight with more contact area. Initially did just the one wire that came undone then ran it. Second plug came undone about 5 min into the pack. Went ahead and did the remaining two. Put in a warranty ticket but hoping this holds in the mean time. Not really sure why these come undone so easily.

Only installed one so far. 20x screws at a time is enough.

Recently posted about cleaning one of my rigs and I was told it was hard to tell which photos were the dirty ones and which were the clean.

I took that as a challenge to get a little more messy this time so I hope these before and after shots are more obvious! ;)

Have been building this beauty in my spare time and found myself using my other Kraton EXB for daily rip sessions. Soo tempted to go run a few batteries through it and see how it compares to my other builds. Hard to bash such a good looking rig, but i think it must be done 😄

My son is having great fun with his Gorgon Grom but it’s getting a bit tame now, and a few more MPH and a little more punch would be good.

I would also like to move to a sealed motor as I’ve had bad problems with sand and grit getting into the motor and causing problems with it getting jammed/stuck.

Can anyone recommend the simplest and easiest to fit brushless upgrade for this RC please? I would like to keep the using the Spektrum battery and controller. I’m guessing it would need to be a Spektrum brushless kit, but I have no idea where to start or which ones are compatible.

I want something that literally swaps right over using stock mounting and screws as I have no skills for cutting, gluing, metalwork, drilling etc!

Started with a decently clean used v2 typhon. First step is obviously the tear down, then comes the not fun part the cleaning. I used regular dish soap and a toothbrush for the plastics and most small and or metal parts get a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner. Once dry i used 3in1 oil in the plastics to bring back the original color and give them a protective finish. You can also use 3in1 oil on the body to give it a nice temporary shine. Next ill sand and repaint any metal parts as needed using rust oleum ultra matte black. My next step is rebuilding the diffs and shocks and any body and decal repairs as needed. Once all that is done then the fun begins putting them back together. Any questions let me know.

So I noticed the Mojave line is generally more expensive relative to cell counts, top speeds, etc versus other lines and within Mojave family the 4s seems to be the most money for “performance”… however I’m gambling that what it doesn’t do in blistering speed or bashing it WILL do in realistic handling and overall driving experience.

I don’t need or want another basher- I don’t have room for on road speed runs, I just want a super fun all around vehicle that feels good driving- chasing the feeling of the UDR but sticking with ARRMA brand.

So I chose the 4s Mojave!!

Hello all! I got my lad a gorgon around a year ago for his birthday with a 2s battery upgrade straight off the mark. The brushed motor has finally given up the ghost so it's time for the brushless upgrade! Im looking for advice on what i specifically need, motor type, esc, drive gear, transmitter etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

just installed aluminum bulkheads and have to remove the whole front end after assembly i hear a lil click coming from front because of this servo saver play is this normal what should i do get rid of this play Thanks in advance

There has to be a simple answer to this because if i try to put it back in it doesnt fit. Do i have to remove the whole tray?

Just regular running around, small jumps, I also want to feel that my vehicle is "heavy" or realistic if you catch my drift, make dust fly around like in those commercials and whatnot.

Although I'm in the research stage and I've heard not too good things about the 223s system, can anyone clear this up? Thanks

Disassembled Vorteks 223s for cleaning and reassembled but can't figure out where this cover goes to save my life. It doesn't appear to be on the exploded view diagram. Seems like it should be so obvious; it's blowing my mind.

And is it supposed to be doing something/do I need it? I was running the truck and felt no issues. Didn’t notice it until after I finished driving that this connector had been chewed up (I’m guessing in the center diff/motor gear?).

morning all, just wondering if anyone has any alternative front rubber bumper ideas, do they actually need to be there, when all mine wants to do is help the mojave bury its nose

waiting on some blue aluminum pieces to come to install them & my wheelie bar. will post pics once it’s completely done. oh and i got under glow blue tooth lights for it too 😏👌🏽, went thru about 3-4 charges with the mini kraton nothing too crazy just speeding in my alley behind my house, had a few crashes and flips/ cartwheels but this mini kraton is holding up like a champ. maybe i just got lucky or havent put a real beating on it but im really happy with this one. i use it more than my 6s v6 kraton & tt-02, p.s i haven’t put the decals yet on the body will definitely do that later. just wanted to share the awesome paint job

Hey guys, just curious to see what you have when it comes to shelving your RC cars. I want mine to be in my office but want them to look nice. Either thinking of one of those stand alone racks that they slide onto, or a regular shelf. I would like something that maybe mounts to the wall. Curious to see what yall got set up!

what wheels do you guys recommend for kraton 6s BLX, these aren’t that great

All bearings accounted for with two extra. Maybe for non exb pinion? Are they different for the different diff housings. Just curious. Center package. Went with sealed stainless bearings.

My very hobby rc car, having blast with this thing, gonna fix it but I guess I need some tire recommendations? I know about locctite and threads, second wheel that fell off. Didn’t except one to rip, guessing I hit some sharp concrete off the grass.
In the market for tires and the front shock guards on this car might need some help to stay on.
