I was given some pawpaw seeds last fall. Stored in fridge over winter. Planted this spring. Thought I had misfired so I used the planting medium to propagate rose cuttings. Then this shows up. Has a seed finally germinated? (Ignore the rose stem in the background)

We inherited this boxwood last summer when we moved in the middle of a drought. What can we do to take care of it now? We were hoping it would bounce back this spring but we've only had limited luck. We live in zone 6.

So I have this Tulip Magnolia that is very special to me, we had to cut down all the other mature trees that were towering over it several years back so it is slowly filling back in. We recently had some demolition done and the backhoe did some damage. One limb was snapped and further down there's a big gash. Any advice?

For the past week, one of our five 15 year old arborvitae has been dropping green branches from the top. These trees are about 18 feet high. We live in Syracuse, NY. Any experts care to hazard a guess? There doesn’t seem to be an air circulation problem and the other 4 trees have no signs of issues. I have this large bush (tree?) in front of my house. I love the privacy it gives, but it is beginning to infringe on my driveway. Can I cut it back considerably? If I did the green ends would be gone. Would the brown area turn green as it’s exposed to sunlight?

I believe I have an American Holly that is dying. A big chunk of bark came off this morning and I can see bore holes. The tree splits a little higher and I essentially have two trees with one trunk. The side this is on isn't growing half the leaves the other side is.

Update: some strong winds came through and knocked A LOT of branches down. Definitely dead on that side.

I am looking for help/suggestions on how to repot my tree sampling. Thank you in advance.

Central Iowa, USA. I have a well established oak tree in my side yard. I planted a garden this spring, and have realized that my oak has a handful of branches that block my earlier morning sun. I'd like to prune them back (not taking the entire limb, just the last 5-6ft), but I've read that pruning should be done closer to winter. My parents lost a 100+ year old oak to blight, and although we never knew the cause, there was a spring where my dad did some heavy pruning, which was the year before the blight kicked in. I really don't want to risk losing my tree, but my garden would do a lot better with a few more hours of sunlight each day.

TLDR: can i trim 5ish feet off the end of a couple branches to try to get more light to my garden, or is it too risky, and I should wait until this winter?
