First three eps i got auto-downloaded and a bunch of the on-screen characters aren't translated or only in the forced subs for engdub, and loading both embedded subs tracks doesn't seem doable.

Hello people, I need for my project to know if a specific episode or season has a crunchyroll bumper on a given platform. For exemple in my country, jujutsu kaisen season 1 doesn't have a crunchyroll logo intro on netflix and crunchyroll but has it on amazon prime and disney+, make it make sense. Is there any api or set of api I can use to get those informations beforehand? Thank you all

One of my partners uses a program for his media that allows him to overwrite the subtitle files with better subs. So in practice he can use the files for fansubs as well (which are often my preferred choice in subs). Does anyone know if any of those files were ever archived somewhere and where I could find them?

And slightly unrelated, for dubbed anime does anyone know if there are subs out there that match the English translations better? This is specific to my partner, who has auditory processing disorder and dyslexia, so he uses subs as an aid, but cant use them entirely by themselves, so watching stuff in Japanese with only subs makes him miss too much information, but alot of subs for anime aren't accurate due to the English dubs often being changed from the direct translation to fit the animations better. He says that when the subs are that far off he ends up confused and missing even more information. Netflix is the biggest example of this, where whole sentences can be different from the subtitles and whats being said. I cant imagine he is the only dubbed watcher with this problem, but because I barely watch the dubs I legitimately have no idea if better subs exist.

Are there any fansubs in the older style, no localization, no politics, and (as cringe as it is) the "TL Note" style of subbing - not trying to translate every little thing and just sometimes use Japanese terms and names when the translation would be shit, and/or (again although it's cringe) not translating honorifics?

The only one I know of is Venabox, but it requires you to install another app called CineToolKit to be able to screencast, and on top of that it also wants you to pay for a premium subscription to continue using it. I had been using it to screencast to my TV via Roku Player, but I don't want to start paying for a monthly service when there are probably better alternatives. Are there any other apps that can do the same thing for free?

It seems like this sub is getting flooded with a lot of "AnimeKAI replacement" discussions, but simply having a place to watch shows isn't the issue for me. The problem I'm running into is with casting shows from my Android phone to my SmartTV. Many of the new sites I've tried lack a casting button on their player entirely, and the ones that do have one fail to display any media on my TV after they connect to the device. I've been for the past 2 months working on a project to fully automate downloading of releasing anime and having those downloads structure themselves correctly in my Jellyfin library. Along the way I found myself working on it with the mindset of making it open-source (good UI/UX, optimized, intuitive, etc..), and thus here it is.

Saberr is a seasonal anime library management system, designed to give the user a hands-off approach to downloading and structuring anime shows into their TVDB-structured media library.

Essentially, Saberr is heavily inspired by Sonarr and Taiga, and aims to bridge the gap between them. Sonarr has little to no awareness of how anime shows are released, and Taiga has no awareness of the modern media library structure. Saberr takes the best of both worlds and gives every anime show and episode a clear destination in your media library.

Deployment: There's a windows installer if that's your thing, and there's a docker-compose file, and a docker guide in the repo. Details are in the readme.

I used to watch on Anikoto back in early 2025, then switched over to Aniwave. Since then, it feels like most anime sites either don't work properly on TV browsers anymore or the video player just refuses to load.

Does anyone know of any sites that actually work well on Smart TVs? I'm mainly looking for something that plays without having to mess around with a bunch of settings or external apps.
