Request Tablet recommendation

I literally just need the cheapest most rinky dink tablet that can read PDFs, that's all. No apps, no youtube, no nothing, just PDFs. I just need something that i can read books and eReaders are more expensive than i thought so getting the cheapest android table possible is the more financialy viable option for me.

Discussion How does genshin and wuwa run in xiaomi pad 7?

Upvotes

I have been thinking of buying a tablet to play games, so I wanted to know whether I would be able to play genshin on this tablet for at least 2 years or if I should stretch my budget a bit to get the xiaomi pad 8 (which I don't want to if I can play the games I want just fine)

Request Concern About Possible Battery Swelling on My Xiaomi Redmi Pad

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello everyone. I’m looking for some advice regarding my Xiaomi Redmi Pad.

After charging it for more than 5 hours and seeing it stuck at only 45%, I noticed a small deformation on the side of the tablet, located just to the right of the camera. It made me wonder if this could be related to the battery, maybe it’s starting to swell.

I’ve always used the original charger, but during the last two charging attempts, it never reached 100%. Even after hours, it was still halfway. My temporary solution has been to use a different charger, and with that one it charges normally again (around three hours). Still, the deformation worries me, and I’m afraid the battery might be expanding.

If anyone has experience with this or could share an opinion, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.

Discussion Should I buy Lenovo xiaoxin pad 11

as the title states, I'm a student looking for a tab to take notes daily and occasionally watch movies with a good battery life. I've only ever used paper so I don't know what specifications to consider.

I want to go for the Lenovo xiaoxin pad 11. I want to ask for your experience using this mainly if there's proper palm rejection, the latency, the writing experience. Also how's the touch sensitivity etc.

Discussion Buying advice needed: Xiaomi Pad 8 (12GB/256GB) in India – worth it in ₹35,000–₹45,000?

I’m based in India and my budget is around ₹35,000–₹45,000. I’m considering the Xiaomi Pad 8 (12GB/256GB).
If you’ve been using it for a while, how has your experience been? Any problems with HyperOS, battery, heating, or the Focus Pen? I’ll mainly use it for studying, note-taking, PDFs, and media consumption.
Would you recommend it for this use case and budget, or would you suggest a better alternative in this price range?
Thanks!

Request $150 Android Tablet with Google Play?

I’m due for surgery later this summer, and will be laid up for three weeks, minimum. I’m searching for a refurbished Wi-Fi-only Android tablet that has Google Play for around $150. I can’t really afford anything more, with the imminent medical bills.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should look for? This will primarily for games.

Discussion best samsung tablet for drawing and casual gaming which one is worth getting?

I’ve been using an older tablet that struggles with drawing apps and a few games, so I’m thinking about switching to a Samsung tablet. I mostly want good screen quality, decent performance, and support for a stylus. What would you consider the best samsung tablet for this kind of use?

I’m a little lost between the different Galaxy Tab models and would love to hear from people who actually use them. Thank you for the help.

Request Tablet for 94 year old to use for audiobook app only

I need a small tablet for my 94-year-old mom. It will act as a dedicated audiobook-playing device with Homer Audio Book app.

I need an inexpensive tablet that either has an
- ability to set up double tap to wake or
- magnetic cover that will wake up the tablet on opening

I bought a 7" tablet off Amazon for $40 but it does not have tap-to-wake settings and the power button is too small for my mom to press, so it needs more "automatic" on/of

Discussion Display Xiaoxin Lenovo Pad Pro TB-J716F & TB-J706F

Help me. I have a xiaoxin (lenovo) pad pro 2021 TB-J17F tablet. It is currently broken, I suspect the damaged touchscreen display. But I am still having trouble finding TB-J716F spare parts, there are some but the price is quite expensive to import from China. Many sell Lenovo P11 Pro 2020 spare parts code TB-J706F at a more affordable price. My question is, can the touchscreen display used by TB-J706F be applied to TB-J716F? Because I see that both dimensions are exactly the same, the only difference is the maximum hz produced. Please help for those who know. Thanks

Discussion I want to start drawing on a tablet on a budget, what is my best bet?

I want to start drawing on a tablet on a budget, what is my best bet?

I can buy a:

Galaxy Tab S10 lite for €269/306$

Galaxy Tab S10 FE for €399/455$

Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ for €539/614$

€550 is my max budget, less is better (getting married).

I would also like to do some video editing, just for fun. But I'm fanatical when I try something new.

Only thing I don't like is the build quality and the screen of the FE editions, but that's what they are about ofcourse (My grandma's old Tab S2 feels better).

Is the price hike between them worth it? Are they good for drawing and video editing?

And are they good for (for me) secondary usecases like watching movies and reading magazines and articles?

Are there any other brands I should look at?

Discussion best gaming tablet is there one that stays cool during long duration gaming sessions?

My current tablet gets pretty warm after about an hour of gaming and then performance starts dropping. That's been getting pretty annoying lately since I usually play for a couple hours in the evening.

Is there a best gaming tablet that actually handles longer sessions well without heating up too much? Battery life would be a nice bonus too. Thanks.

There are lots of options and idk which one would be good. Kindly give me some suggestions guys.

Request Windows 11 PC + Tablet with Remote Desktop

Question: **Has anyone used a tablet with a BT mouse/keyboard to remote into your home PC? Has it been fast, performant, convenient?**

I'm replacing my Laptop with a higher end PC, but wanted to keep some mobility/portability. I've got a tablet already, so might as well try to make more use of it.

At home I've got a gigabit connection, so with good enough wi-fi on the tablet bandwidth wouldn't be an issue.

Idea would be working on stuff on my home computer (writing, graphic design, photo editing) but from libraries, cafes, or wherever I might be travelling.
