Late post for last Tuesday’s meeting. By now you’ve likely heard that we voted 6-0 to delay any data center decisions until we do more research. We’ll decide how long to delay at the meeting on the 28th. Not many doodles, and of all the meetings to leave my notebook at home! 😞

My wife and I will be in town for a couple of days next weekend. I'd love some local recommendations in the Campustown area, or anywhere, really. We love a good breakfast, and I'm an adventurous eater. Omnivores. She's happy as long as there is chicken and rice. 🤷‍♀️ My only request is no typical Midwest Mexican. No shade, I just have a favorite taco truck here so we're good.

I’m having faith in the internet. My girlfriend lost her wallet today at McDonald’s on duff asked if they found one and they refused to look. If anyone has seen it please let me know there’s a lot of private information in there.
UPDATE!!!. Left my number with McDonalds and got a call saying the wallet was there the entire time. The lady working when I went refused to look for us and denied it was ever there. So corporate will be called for denying you have a wallet when it was there the whole time.

We expect the apartment to be ready for move-in in September, and the lease ends in July 2027. The apartment is 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, with an large open kitchen and living room. Someone at the vet hospital found Mike Tyson last night, we brought him home today. He is doing very well and we are very lucky.

I have a ton of Gap, American Eagle, and Old Navy button ups that are all in great condition. Tried to sell them on Depop but got no traction. I just don’t want them to go to a landfill so you can have them for free, even have a Van’s hooded button up jacket shirt.

Can anyone recommend an insured handyman near Ames? Looking to get new carpet padding installed and refit existing carpet. So far carpet installers will only use new carpet. Our carpet is only a couple years old and we pulled it up quickly after the flood. Please only recommend established businesses and not "I know a guy." Thanks for the help.

Sunday at ~8:45 an eastbound train going through town suddenly applied its brakes and stopped, blocking all the crossings downtown. Shortly thereafter, several police cars, a fire truck, and ambulance went to the crossing at Kellogg Ave. The train was split and the front half pulled ahead to clear Duff Ave. The train sat there for ~2 hours, then it recoupled and left.

Given the events, I assumed someone had been struck at the crossing, but I saw nothing about it reported in the news. Does anyone know exactly what happened?
