Red. 4speed with a competition clutch. 258ci 6 cyl. 2" exhaust instead of 1 5/8". I got it up to 126 mph! I added better suspension and ram induction. It helped that I worked at a service station. I loved that car!

Just wanted to share my car with you guys! I got my driver’s license in September of last year, this is my first car and the car I learnt how to drive on. It’s Collector plated, and I can’t do an errand run without people stopping me to give compliments. I love her so much, she’s so good to me, and I’ve named her Valkyrja (Norse spelling of Valkyrie). Fully 4WD which suits me perfectly as I live on a mountain road, and at some point a previous owner lifted it slightly which only helps. We’ve been to several car shows already and she gets a lot of attention every time.

Hello All! I’m new around here and I thought I’d share a new project that I’m starting: A field find(from a farm) 1958 Rambler Custom Six! Disclaimer: I’m not a mechanic and don’t have much knowledge on fixing vehicles at all. This is gonna need a lot of work but I’m willing to learn! Any advice out of the gate? What I do know is that it has no keys(all doors and trunk locked, replacement door locks and ignition cylinder on the way), it isn’t seized, interior will need a complete overhaul, and I have no idea on the history of the car. First 4 pics are before it came out of the field(2023), last 5 are after extracting it(2026).

Hello yall, I made an accident and overtorqued my front driver spindle...A LOT and stripped the threads. Now they do not hold above 40lb-ft of torque. Is it worth even trying to repair these with weld and threads or to buy a replacement. If the latter, is there a consensus on a place to source these on the east coast or am I doing a road trip?

Just bought this 66’ rambler classic 770 for $8900 and just wanted to know how much I overpaid. One nickel size rust on the rear fender is the only rust on car. Odometer says 37,000 and I’d believe it because it’s so clean. It’s been a northern Illinois car its entire life. If someone could help me find the actual value I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m just now getting into amc and I don’t know a whole lot.

I know the owner and they have been trying to sell it to me for the last year. It supposedly ran at one point but needs to be restored still. Is $2k a good deal?

Hello yall, I am trying to figure out how to reattach this siding in the back seat? The other side seems to be firmly attached but I wanted to see if the masses knew anything before digging around. Currently the only thing holding it to the car is a screw in the trunk area.

Back in January I showed off 3 of the Greenlight first shot AMC Javelins I had well today I added a 4th! This is the 1971 model it joins the 72, 73/74 toolings.

Licensed Canadian Automotive Mechanic here looking for some advice.

I am finishing a restore on a very nice 86 Comanche for a friend. This vehicle has alot of sentimental value to the family.

The goal is to keep it original as best as possible.

My biggest question is a best source for parts for a complete differential / axle rebuild. Howls badly.

This differential is a 4:11 Dana 35 with non C clip axles.

I am able to source most parts individual but I am hoping to find a master kit.

The outer axle bearings are grease packed and isolated from the gear oil with an internal tube seal. Not sure how popular this was or availability of parts.

I have a few other parts I need but have the diff apart now.

Finally got around to washing the 75 Matador and it looks amazing! This car cleaned up amazing and the paint is in great condition. It has rust spots on some parts but nothing out of the ordinary for a 51 year old car. Unsure if the paint is original, but the car only has 67,000 miles on it so it could be possible. Interior is also mint!

And for the Pacer... which was not a horrible idea for a car, BUT They shouldn't have dropped the Javelin to produce it. Chrysler did the same thing in 1974, got all scared about the gas crisis, and dropped the Challenger, Road Runner, and Barracuda. Ford replaced the real mustang with the "mustang/Pinto"... and with AMC dropping the Javelin, they handed the ENTIRE sports car market over to GM on a silver platter. So the rest of the 70's, they saw the Firebird, Camaro, Trans Am, and Corvette selling wonderfully. They could have dumped the Matador coupe for the Pacer, and would have been better off.

I found this beautiful 1960 Rambler in Colorado when I was passing through and I had to get it even though it had a rod knock.

I was looking at rebuilding the 195.6, but it's kind of archaic and parts are expensive.

So I grabbed a 232 from a 1970 AMC Hornet, gave it a fresh rebuild, and made it fit.

I put a toggle switch on the overdrive governor so it's basically a 5-speed.

Hot rod enough for me!

This is up for sale on BringaTrailer right now. May oh man, what a sweetheart. You gotta love the interior. Fun fact: The AMC Hornet Sportabout was the first car to ever have a designer collaboration. AMC, always ahead of their time.
