Just picked up this M70AB2 kit built from a local gun store. Pretty stoked to finally own an AK. What is the general consensus on Yugos anyway?

Is this ring normal to have? I’ve been having an issue trying to fit the pin on the (new) brown lower. I thought the retainer should cover that change in the barrel but when I tried the original it’s still showing (even after some smacks with a rubber mallet.

Do I just need to sand that right side down for the pin to fit correctly?

I have a Mak90, I shoot a couple 30 round mags probably once a month. When I take it out of the safe I have to hit the charging handle with a hammer to get it unstuck. It cycles fine with no hangups and I clean and oil it after I shoot it. I also store it butt stock down. What could be causing it to get locked up?

I asked for a piece of advice for frt use on ak.

Initially I was thinking about psak 104 gf5 but after checking out the price of the gf 5 psak 104, I had a second thought.

Now I am looking at the following item.

It is a bit long but it is damn wasr, check.

It should be fine with frt use since it is a rpk, check.

Chrome barreled check. so it will be better than nitride I assume.

I was thinking about abusing psak and be happy while abusing it with my suppressor.

But it feels like it won't be desirable to use a suppressor on the rpk(21inch barrel).

Kind of wanted something short and durable and now it is big.. so big like a tank barrel.

I was checking dracos earlier, but why is it so hard to find a draco with rail on it out of box????

If anyone with this wasr rpk experience could share experience, that would be really great.

Looking to get some rear trunnion work done. It’s an ak pistol with an unfinished uf rear trunnion, and I need a fixed stock rear. Weld up the old holes and refinish, the works. Who should I get a hold of for quotes?

Picked this up for $700, how’d I do? Armco imported AK47s, all original #’s. Was filthy but I used nylon brushes to clean it up.

Shuffling through the parts bin I found a 2 bolt hinge and a spare buffer tube and thought why not brace the mini draco? Wanted to see if anyone has any tips or specs on layout and the process.

Currently I have wasr, draco, kr103, m70 and wbp 556 mini jack.

Recently, I got into this frt thingy.

So, I am kind of looking for a range toy? to put that frt on it and abuse it to its limit.

my ak collection is nothing fancy but precious to me. For that reason, I am hesitant to put frt on them.

For that reason, I am looking at this psa ak 104 at the moment.

I had a couple of psa aks like 101, ak p.
Ak p was great but ak 101 was a hot garbage shit.

Even though I got mixed reviews on psa aks, the reason that I am considering it as my frt range toy is that I can always send it back to them to fix it.

Am I wrong? Am I not logical here?

Or should I just put frt on wasr and just abuse it til its death?

I picked this up for $500 from a fella at my gun club. Said it has about 300 rounds on it. I don’t know much at all about AKs. I mostly shoot PTR / AR / Bolt and handguns.

Is this a decent maker? I see mixed stuff about WASR online?

I gouged the hell out of my rear sight block trying to remove the leaf spring on my M74. Pliers went right through the rag I put down. Will a gouge like this cause issues in the future? Is there a fix for this?

Recently, I picked up a used WASR 10/63 rifle. It came with aftermarket front and rear tritium sights made by XS Sights, and I want to replace them with the original AK Rear Leaf Rear Sight, and AK Front Sight Post.

I managed to remove the tritium front sight and I noticed that it doesn't have the little "forks" seen on the standard AK Front Sight post. Would it still fit on the windage drum installed by XS Sights, or is it proprietary to the tritium sight only?

Lastly, there's the rear sight. There's no resources on how to remove an XS sight properly, so I could use some help there.
