I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

When I'm watching a recording and try to fast forward, no matter how I do it (double tapping, using the forward button, or scrubbing the timeline), the playback will often jump backward instead of forward. It seems to get worse the longer the recording has been playing. For example, once I'm halfway through a recording, it happens much more frequently.

I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro. I've already tried:

• Updating the app
• Clearing the app cache and data
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the app

None of those steps have fixed the issue.

This seems to have started about 3-4 weeks ago.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior in the Android version of the app? If so, have you found a workaround or fix?

Is re-living this World Cup from start to finish. I made sure I recorded all pre-game and post games, including all the FIFA shows leading up to the tournament haha. It's going to be a fun 9 months haha

I've noticed that at least since last week, the live schedule, which usually goes out ten days before not letting you progress further, has instead started to show every program as "no info available" starting about a week out from when you started. I was wondering if this was temporary, or if we're going to have to start programming our DVRs a week at a time rather than ten days at a time.

i'm assuming this was done intentionally by youtubeTV. i selected for every world cup game to record, and i was able to "start from beginning" when i selected any match. yesterday, i was working during most of the final match and was looking forward to watching the entire thing when i got home, but when i turned it on in the final minutes of extra time, i didn't get the option to start from beginning and couldn't rewind. such a massive disappointment after looking forward to spending a couple hours watching the culmination of the world cup. anyone have any insights as to why this was done this way?

Randomly decided to check the ESPN app today, went to Subscriptions, and noticed that YTTV is listed that you might be able to get out as part of your package. I don't believe it was there before.

However, going to the website, nothing is listed on how to add it.

Could this mean that it's getting closer to being available, or has this always been listed and there is no change.

Not that I have anything against Telemundo because I totally don't that I'm happy that it's on YouTube TV. But why in the world is my YouTube TV account defaulting to Telemundo, I mean at least they're broadcast at 4K so that's cool. But I think for my home Fox sports 4K would be better. The issue is to get there I literally have to go into the Telemundo broadcast and start there, then I can go choose different versions from within the menus there.

Why can't I just select Fox Sports directly from the UI

Haven't been able to find it. Something like Directv or a cable provider would make with channels down the left and packages across the top. It makes it easier to see what is included or not for the packages.

So my renewal date is the 21st and this is the 2nd month in a row that the subscription fee has been taken out of my account early. 2 to 3 days. This is maddening to me. Does this happen to anyone else? Support just says it's a pre-authorization but to me it's the same thing as them charging me several days early because I don't have access to that money anymore. Support says to call my bank which is Wells Fargo. They won't do anything. So I guess all I can do is set a reminder in my calendar each month before renewal date so I can make sure I have enough money and/or decide if I want to cancel before next renewal.

Sorry to be so long-winded but crap like this gets me so upset. I budget every dime and when unexpected charges occur that screws up my mojo lol

The account management forbids you from simply creating an account. The developers took the lazy approach and decided that they would simply piggy back off of the google accounts, instead of building a dedicated account management system for YouTube TV. Anyone who has ever purchased any professional services from google understands how buggy the interfaces are. The youtube tv experience is no different. Example, you want to switch payment methods?? Good luck. You will need 2 to 3 hours to do this. Then at the end of the process , you will have to "revisit the page in 7 days" to verify your identity. Want to cancel the service? same thing...

I couldn’t seem to find this on my guide but on the YTTV website there is now CNBC World. If that’s something you care about, cool i guess.

Am I the only person experiencing a glitch where I cannot seperate certain channels when reordering the custom guide? Is this a known issue or contractual obligation?

Some examples:

- FX and FXX cannot be separated. They could be manually moved to opposite ends of the custom guide, but will always revert back right next to each other and FXX is always listed before FX, no matter how you order them.

- StarzComedy, StarzInBlack, StarzEdge, StarzKids&Family, and StarzCinema will always revert to being right next to each other and in that exact order. No way to reorder or seperate them

- HBO Latino can’t be separated from the main cluster of HBO channels.

I've searched here and see a number of posts that detail how things work if you have two homes. You basically need to mark one as your "home" and then when you use it at the other it tells you that it notices that you've traveled, but everything basically still works (with the exception maybe that DVR only ever works for the home location). You then need to "check in" at least every 90 days at your home location. Got all of that, I think.

What I haven't seen details on is watching *at the same time* in two locations. My wife and I live in NYC but also have a beach house in NJ. She needs to be in the office in NYC three days a week and I don't, so during the summer I spend most of my time at our beach house in NJ. Will this setup work with YouTubeTV? That is, if I mark NYC as our "home" location, can my wife watch in NYC (including local channels there), while I am *also* watching from the beach house in NJ at the same time? And if so, do I have access to local NJ channels, local NY channels, or no local channels? Basically, it wasn't clear from the discussion of "traveling" if that restricts your access at home while you're traveling.

For anyone curious, the way we handle this now is that we have Spectrum in NYC for both internet and cable TV. They have an app (for both mobile and Samsung smart TVs) that allows you to watch anything you subscribe to. And it works at the same time as live TV at home. So, she watches our Spectrum cable in NYC and I can use the Spectrum app at the beach at the same time. It's actually great. The issue is that we want to ditch Spectrum for Verizon FIOS in NYC, but only use that for internet, rather than cable too, which is why I'm looking into YouTubeTV.

And a related question: if I'm watching on something like my Samsung TV that doesn't have GPS (rather than my phone), how does it know my location? Is it just using the IP address and geolocating that?

Due to how expensive it is, I canceled YouTube tv once football season is over but now that it’s coming back I want to see if there’s any promos for returning customers?

I just went to watch our local news and none of them are on, only ones from Johnstown, which we are no where near. Did they cancel all 3 local channels and not tell us?? No KDKA, no WTAE and no WPXI. Why would o want to watch Johnstowns local news when I’m in the suburbs of Pittsburgh?

I recently switched to Youtube TV about 2 months ago and am having an issue that's kind of annoying. Whenever I am watching something and I leave the app to go watch something else or turn off the TV for about 30 minutes and then come back, it will end up automatically playing where I left off instead of live. This sucks for live sports as now I'm on a delay without knowing it. There also doesn't seem to be an easy way to "jump to live."

I'm using an Apple TV for reference. I know there's a "jump to live" button on the web, but I don't see it on Apple TV. Is there a way to prevent the app from picking up where I stopped watching and just default to live all the time? If not, how do we request a "jump to live" button?

I know I can just switch the channel and go back again, but it's quite annoying and my complaint is more for my elderly parents who already have a difficult enough time picking up how to use the interface.

Watching Big Brother (CBS Baltimore) and the audio sync is horrible. Anyone else having this issue?

I paused my membership. Now whenever I go on the app, the website, anything, it tries to load and then just brings me to a blank screen with no ui elements. Is this normal?

For months now I have literally been unable to resubscribe to YTTV. No matter what I try wverytim I go into my Google account page and select wallet and memberahips and then mange memberships and select YTTV the next page does nothing but get stuck in an never loading spinning circle. Or a constant “please try again later” message. I have tried chatting with Google and they have been able to resolve it either. They act like dumb and run me through all the typical troubleshooting steps. Believe me I have tried them all. Different browsers, clearing cache and history, private modes, updating payment info, restarting devices, uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, logging in and out of app on all devices, checked for any blocked w baited, turned VPN on and off and on you name it I have tried it. Does anybody have any other possible solutions or have had this same issue?

Yesterday, when I turned on the TV to watch the France vs Spain World Cup semi, the screen displayed the icon for me the match full screen. There were no other options. I don’t know if this was a one off or a glitch.

Anybody else experiencing a fair amount of buffering lately while using YTTV? It’s not my internet (have gigabit, with at least 600-700mb bandwidth at Apple TV via WiFi). No issues for years.
No other apps have issues, including 4K content.
Gen1 4k Apple TV.
Everything has rebooted.
Gigabit internet.
No issues with other streaming services at same device.

Have also just narrowed down to NBC (Denver)
