Technology YSK: Use your battery recharger before first use of AA AAA battery purchases

Why YSK: Today I got a new pack of rechargeable common AAA batteries. I had not used the recharger on fresh batteries from the store previously. Now all four are charging. So for a full charge, take this step before installing in flashlights etc.

Doesn’t the package tell you this? Every other rechargeable device I’ve bought says to charge before use. I assumed just the batteries would too

Honestly I never read the mouse type on the brochure. But I just happened to recall something about this in discussion and I decided to do it.

Yeah isn't it by law they have to ship them at a lower voltage?

idk about that but most battery chemistries have longer useful life if they are shipped and shelf-stored partially charged (50-80%)

OP- I was just pleased that YSK didn't bounce me out for some format infraction. YSK ; read the rules but type out exactly what you see in a post. ;-)

No idea about the lower voltage question. And I usually leave the charge on overnight. On this recharge so far it's been 2 hours.
