hey all, what are some good xfiles podcasts to listen to? i listened to the xcast for a while, and while i liked the format i started to lose interest when they kept introducing more hosts—i only liked some of them and would find myself skipping more and more episodes before finally giving up. are there any similar podcasts with more consistency in the hosting? thx!

I was 12 and not well when this episode aired in the UK. I had peadiatric onset multiple sclerosis and was having relapses. I started early.

What I think happened was Skinner at some kind of conference, meeting about using stem cells as a way of reducing cancer cells. Did this really happen?

Pitch me an idea for an old school X-Files episode using only a few sentences.

“Wet and Wild”

Mulder and Scully go to a small Florida town to investigate a string of small pet killings. They discover a giant alligator that has been mutated by toxic waste. Mulder gets jealous over a handsome alligator tamer.

Obviously not The mother but episodes like the one with Rhys Darby or the Pilot.

He is still at an age where he is still open to watching old shows without complaining about why Mulder couldn't just ask chat GPT about aliens.

Also he has limited amount of TV time, so there is no way can binge 10 seasons.  Just want to show him a few fun episodes so he knows what it's about and can come back to it in his stoner years.

I was already sold but now I'm fully sold. I was four when the X-Files premiered and one of my core memories was watching it with my great-great Aunt. I remember her saying "B'ni, I don't think I'll ever shower again!", after this episode premiered.

Honestly, it's one of my core memories from the X-Files that I cherish. Aunt Tessa lived to 110 and we watched almost every episode together.

For me, the most scariest/depressing episodes are the ones in that Mulder and Scully almost dies...Episodes like Darkness Falls or Død Kalm, Where they inteligence and luck are just not enough, having to be saved at the last moment by other people after lose all the hope.

What are your thoughts on Mulder and Scully as investigators? Are you gonna play ball and follow their lead?

I'm curious, Disney offers the Simpsons in 4:3 in Disney+.
Since the X files remaster has a 4:3 version that's never seen the light of day, I wonder sometimes if Disney would give people the option to watch the 4:3 HD version for seasons 1-4 in a similar fashion to the way they offer "The Simpsons".
