I always hear people say that you should maximize your view range on tanks, even if it already has 445, so you can outspot enemy tanks. So I maxed my view range on all my tanks

But how much value does the extra meters of view range hold? I kinda got an idea that it technically reduces enemy tank concealment , not sure whether it’s correct

So let’s say there’s an enemy tank with detectable range of 300m, my tank has a view range of 495m, 50m above max. So how much concealment does the enemy tank loss? At what range will the enemy tank be spotted? 310m? 320m?

Is the extra meters that effective or its effect is just minimal? Is there a formula for that?

Not a big brag but I marked it as bragging cos it seems like it.

Saw Death’s post earlier about MoEs - inspired me cos I don’t mark tanks through skill, more like attrition.

Anyways, his post and advice got me round to looking at my T30 and thinking “let’s do this” and then I did it.

Never 2 marked anything in my life and I’ve been here 4 years.

Anyways - love this humongous 155mm daemon. And the dogs. Anyone else appreciate a T30 in their garage?

I was trying to 4-mark the T-72 URAL but the games devolved into 7 Light tanks running laps with each other, so I took that as a sign to mix it up a little before wrapping up for the day lol

I’m new to the game and have been grinding through tanks for about 2 weeks, and have now got some idea of my stats after that time.

But what is important? Is, for example, K/D that important? If so, what is a ‘good’ K/D? I’m 1.3 overall but have some tanks like the Matilda where I’m 2.9.

Damage seems more important, however, as I seem to do a lot to a tank before someone else gets the final shot off for the kill. Given there isn’t any assists-count-as-kill, is that how the team is intended to work? Focus fire and whoever gets a higher damage tends to be the best player?

Just trying to work out how I can best help the team and where I need to adapt!

Six days to go and just shy of 20,000 regiment points. I'm hoping to get the Bardelas 60mm for 30,000 (is it any good). Is it possible to buy 10,000 regiment points?

It's not working properly. You gotta log off, after winning however many games, then back in to see actual total. Just saying. If everyone else knows already then my bad.

During the dev stream today, Twitch was saying my account was not connected. Other players reported the same issue, and KB recommended going to the WG site to unlink and then re-link your Twitch account (pics to show where).

This effectively fixed the issue. I started the game and had a couple weeks’ worth of drops appear in my log. I had not realized they were not being credited. Twitch still says my account is not connected, but I am getting drops again. Hope this helps!

3,20° gun depression and 9° of gun elevation made for one of the more difficult things I've played and Marking it was made that much harder by the fact that nobody's playing this tank, so I was pretty much stuck improving on my own results day after day. Honestly really enjoyable gun and I like the challenge, definitely gonna keep it in the rotation when I'm down for some Era 1 fun!

*tl;dr - an odd duck premium not quite like anything else in the Western Alliance garage. 

*The Cold War Era 2 medium Sentinelle is, quite literally, one of my favorites. Ironically, looking at my stats. 

*The main gun on this is the “105mm Canon 76S”, whatever that is. Stats wise it’s a mid / top L7 - 460 damage, 389 / 361 pen. 

*Oh, and it’s a two round auto-loader. 

*That’s an odd choice and it forces a somewhat unique play style. It’s only two rounds so you can’t pop out and mag dump an unfortunate light like you can with a Skoda, but at the same time the full reload is slow enough that it makes it hard to corner peek. It’s very satisfying to put two L7 rounds into a T-54/55 in 3 seconds, but it’s never really enough to kill a healthy tank and then you have 15 seconds to try and figure out what to do with whoever you just pissed off. 

*Quite honestly, it would be a better tank with a weaker gun that had 3-4 rounds in the clip or if it simply had an L7 105mm. 

*The armor thickness and lay-out don’t help that dynamic either - the hull front is nicely sloped but it’s only around 100mm and the hull sides are a dead flat 70mm (pun intended). The turret face is around 240mm but it has minimal angling, The turret sides are around 100mm with a little angling but, again, it’s not much at this level of lethality. 

*There are 20mm or so of spaced armor on the turret sides and the skirts provide a little spacing so heat rounds are less effective than they could be, but in general this is not a tank to brawl in. Or really take any sort of hits in.

*Mobility is actually pretty good and better than the stats suggest. It’s not a speed demon but the hull rotates quickly, as does the turret, meaning that it’s easy to find and utilize a good fighting position. 

*Although Cold War mode is a True Vision world, the camo / view split is worth talking about here. There is roughly 300 - 350 meters difference between view range and detectability and that matters for something this big and this lightly armored. 

*The Sentinelle has (for a NATO tank) a surprisingly short profile- combined with its spotting advantage it’s easy(ish) to stay out of sight and put two quick rounds into targets of opportunity. 

*In fact, I seem to have my best games playing the Sentinelle like a WW2 tank destroyer - stay back, stay hidden, be a loyal wingman, and only engage targets that are already busy with one of your team mates so as not to become the primary focus. 

*This tank isn’t everybody’s cup of tea,  but it’s my cup of tea. 

*Current equipment / build: Full camo (the super patriotic “France Patriotic 24”0, full equipment (coated optics / gun stabilizer / improved ventilation / missile warning system), three consumables (enhanced repair kit / enhanced rations / enhanced med kit). 

*As I write this I have career stats on this account of 31,474 battles, a 48.42% winrate, and a WN8 score of 1423. 

*As I write this I have Sentinelle stats of 115 battles, a 47.83% winrate, and a WN8 score of 1149. I have not marked this tank.

8pm et and queue times are maxed and kicking me back to the garage . I get a game and it’s after 10 minutes it’s almost all bots . Super quick 15-2 loss. How do you find enjoyment anymore?

Wow, they destroyed only buyable thing in the whole game. Like yeah, they wont see any more money from me, id rather buy a pc than pay dog 💩 like ps+. Gg wg your greed cost you money.

Im new player and this game is game changer for me, i was able buy 2 tanks and on 2nd round 15k flag farm..1h left to event end and update started and I had 950+ points i planned make it 1000 n buy some more tanks ..nooo wg whyy

I get it if you're scared of giving it more pen, even if 88 would be nice(I mean the Gau 8 exists at 92 but we'll ignore that) and maybe you like it with no armor, or speed, or camo, or depression, or agility, or a stupidly long reload and/or cooldown.

But for the love of God can ya do something about the ammo price to damage ratio?

This is a premium tank with a premium account AND the battle pass credit buff, firing regular ammo. While this was NOT a great game, Ive had me lose credits on wins with a booster and me finishing at the top.

How often does it go on sale? Because I have had zero luck when it shows up in crates and it's pretty much the only ERA 3 tank I want (I'm a bit of a Bradley variant fanboy). Oh and yes I already have the M3A1 and trying to get to the A2 but the M113 is currently draining my will to live.

Same question about the Duster, the Squall andthe GAU 8. Have they gone on sale (individually) since introduction?

I actually had no interest in auto cannon tanks until I played the mini-line in the US tech tree and I absolutely fell in love with the T3 and T5 ones, T4 not so much lol.
