I dont main weenston but he is one of my main 3 tank picks and has been forever and I've always done punching & using primary when I can.

hello fellow dive tanks. i come seeking advice as a new winston player with about 20 hours. im formerly a doomfist main with 100 hours and peaked diamond 3 with him. recently ive been struggling on doom so i decided to switch to winston as i think he is better than doom in some aspects. i climbed to d1 60% with winston solo qing but mostly in a stack. now i have fallen to d2 60% and i am frustrated. i been playing in d3-m4 lobbies and these lobbies feel so hard and i feel like im not good enough to keep up. i know that i just need to practice but i would appreciate some general tips on micro and macro stuff.

This game was a win, and I thought I did good, but I know I made a few targetting and positioning errors here and there. I need to know what to work on

He’s simply so much fun, I love this guy on just a conceptual level. Got a pesky French sniper in some fuck off corner of the map? JUST FUCKING JUMP HER BABY ITS LIGHT WORK. I’ll be trying him in 5v5 to see if I like him there. He, Genji and Tracer all gave me great first impressions from the gameplay.

Idk if the meme is tired at this point (i still like it) but imagine if Blizzard made a skin for Winston that turned him into his plush. With squeaky noises when jumping, I think that would be awesome.

Came back to Overwatch at the launch of OW2, started at plat 4. Now my peak is C5. Winston is still the most fun tank to play by far! This is definitely a season where our favorite scientist is viable

So whenever u walk up some stairs and a tank is chasing you, you should be able to jump on their head, being pretty easy to dodge bullets/abilities and disconcerting them. Easier on heroes like hog jq and not tall heroes like orisa. I posted not long ago a similar clip dodging ana sleep

I main doomfist and play winston when doom is banned so I'm not too good at winston yet, but I struggle sm against JQ she feels unkillable. How should I approach playing her?

I came back to overwatch in season 1 and have been playing winston till high platinum solo queue. I'm finding that most games I can't play the game as somebody's switched to mauga reaper bastion torb cass brig or moira and when I'm against 3 or 4 of these character including a few other tanks like dva I'm really struggling alot. I'm also forcing winston on some pretty bad maps with chat turned off trying my best.

I'd like to ask who else I could play on the tank role so I can play winston when the maps good and enemies aren't to punishing (I'm fine against 1 or 2 counters) and who I could switch to that alot of winstons counters play bad into. I've tried for too long to force just winston and would like some recommendations on who you play beside him.

Been playing since launch. Decided to finally lock and made it my goal to hit masters before the 10 year anniversary.

What I mean is, I have recently fallen in love with playing him again, after I got sick of maining Zarya for years.

Now to the whole point: WHY is it that EVERY MATCH I play, as soon as I jump in and get a few elims, their dps ALWAYS switch to either Reaper, Bastion or both?! Like seriously, this has happened EVERY MATCH I have played for the past week… I don’t even play comp, so this happens in QP…

Has anyone else been getting a lot of hate on Winston lately? I’ve had people complaining that he’s too easy and such. I’ve never felt Winston is a scummy or easy character, what’s up with the hate 😔
