Hello! Hope you are all having a good day. Looking for advice on how to manage my anxiety when exercising, because I would absolutely LOVE to go for runs. Gonna give as much info as I can to help people with their feedback! And thank you so much for reading if you're here :)
I am 5'3", 107kg and in my mid 20's. I have Autism, ADHD, Depression and a good bout of anxiety thanks to things from the past. Admittedly, I only leave my house about once a week due to said anxiety, but I want to be able to take care of myself better in any way that I can.
I've been roughly the same weight since my early teens, and no amount of exercise or starvation (not intentionally, I had a rough past) seems to change that. It COULD be PCOS or hormone related, but I am also too anxious to get checked out.
For what it's worth, I prepare and cook my own meals, and I tiptoe everywhere (due to autism) so my calves are strong as fuck.
I went for a walk today, a new route, took about half an hour there and back and got me about 2500 steps in, which is nice for a change! But I'd love to go out without feeling horribly anxious that someone's looking at me and judging, hell, might even say something! I know, rationally, in my mind that nobody truly gives a damn. But there is always the worry that someone especially hateful (I am visibly transgender, short, fat - easy target to some?) will target me and I won't be able to escape the situation. I stay home so much because I feel safe there.
The goal eventually is to go running - it always feels so freeing and fun, but I don't think I can get away with sprinting down a main road and not have anyone look to see what's going on. I do not have the funds to get myself a gym membership as the vast majority of my pay goes into rent and groceries. I do not have a car or the ability to drive, otherwise I'd probably take myself to a quieter area because there are so many people in a city !! The world is cruel and evil and hates me specifically (joking ofc).
Thank you for getting to the end !! Sorry this was so long :')
Edit: i spent so long writing my bullshit that i didnt even write what i really wanted. anything i can do at home, low budget, to help lose weight and regain strength??? and to run ofc i really wanna do that too
