Season 2 Ep 4 - Spolier Alert Ahead but don't spoil the rest of the episodes thx:

Knowing I'm way behind and now catching up on popular Netflix series from this year and 2024, including Wednesday Season 2, and knowing I'm very late to post this, but I'm curious for those who are watching Season 2 right now and have gotten to around Episode 4 or 5 of the series, that I'll keep this post up.

was coFirst off, can I just say WOW I did not at ALL expect the candy lady assistant (Judi) to Dr. Fairburn to turn out to be the Avian and the daughter of the doctor who had been keeping some of the Outcasts imprisoned. That my jaw was literally on the floor once it was revealed that Judi was behind the crows and was still keeping the Outcasts imprisoned along with volunteered for her father to experiment those Outcast's abilities and injected into her to control the birds. That I did NOT at all expect to be Judi because I thought she was just Dr. Fairburn's assistant and only a side, unimportant character. But boy, was I wrong. Honestly, best plot twist ever!

Before moving on to finishing the rest of the series, I have a theory on why Tyler threw Wednesday out the window from the asylum (as Jenna confirmed that he did). As he had the chance to kill her right there, but instead he threw her out the window. Even though he's bigger than her.

I think I know why he didn't. It goes back to what he said in Season 2, Ep 2, when Wednesday visited him at the asylum to tell him about his dad's passing while also trying to figure out who the avian was behind controlling the crows that were killing the victims, with Enid being the next predicted vicitim.

During their talk, Tyler thought he was successfully taunting Wednesday and getting the last word. But then later on Wednesday goes on completely uno reversed him and had the final say. That during it, Tyler specifically said: "Say hi to Enid for me. Tell her I'm gonna kill her the next time I see her. Make her pay for sticking her snout in my business. I want her scream to haunt you for the rest of your life." (Season 2 ep 2)

When he said that, I think he means it as then he's going to kill Enid, but wants to do it in front of Wednesday for her to witness Enid's death. As he wanted Enid's scream to haunt Wednesday for the rest of her life.

Crackstone is dead in season 1, Laurel survived but fortunately got put down by Tyler, Judi was killed halfway through season 2, Dort in the penultimate episode and both Issac and Francoise died in the season 2 finale.

The only one who appeared and survived both seasons is Tyler. His character has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where they take him in the future.

It’s obv supposed to be 2023

As a Wednesday and a NFL fan, I’ve been thinking about what if the academy had a football team. What do you think they’d be called? Raves? Nightshades? Or something else? I’m also gonna make a concept of what the field and uniform would look like if anyone is interested in seeing the outcome.

So I just started rewatching S1, and I had a thought concerning all the talk around the “Wednesday must die” theories and Ophelia.

Obviously, Rowan says Wednesday has to die back in S1 because she’s going to destroy the school based off his mother’s premonition. For the premonition to have come true, Crackstone would have won and Wednesday would have died, either when she was stabbed or in that final fight with him. But, this never happens.

Could Ophelia’s writing be related back to this and how Wednesday was supposed to die and Crackstone was supposed to win. A case of messing with what was fated to happen. It’d be interesting for this to come back to a full circle moment where what happened with Rowan and the premonition was really never addressed again.

Also to add: At the closing of S1, Wednesday asks “Were Laurel Gates and Tyler just pawns in a bigger game?” But this question was never answered in S2. Is there still more here, and if so, is it connected to the “Wednesday must die” declaration?
