Ring Inquiry 💍 Help me chose my band!

I’m in the process of choosing my wedding band and I need some input! My ring is a 2.3 ct 6 prong tulip cathedral style solitaire and I want a wedding band with some sparkle but not too overpowering that it takes away from my main stone. If you have other suggestions please let me know!

First photo is my ring, second is a marquise style, third is a radiant, fourth is pear shape, and fifth is a cushion cut. All these rings are around the 1.3-5 tcw range and are half anniversary bands as I believe they’re more comfortable for daily wear than full eternity. TIA!

Ring Inquiry 💍 Help with buying ring

Hi there! My (30F) girlfriend (32F) and I have been thinking of marriage for a while, and we've pretty much even decided on a date because we want an "official" cheaper wedding for our family and to use the days to go on a long trip abroad together, and then THE wedding which will happen eventually when we have the time and money for it.

TLDR, we're getting married next year, but I still need the thing that stresses me out the most: the ring. I'm very very new to rings or jewelry of any kind, and I need help. Here's some pointers to what I'm looking for:

— Neither of us want expensive rings, nor can really afford them. I'm saying 600€ max. (For durability purposes, it's likely that we don't wear them but frame them and get engagement tattoos instead but despite how unconventional everything is I know my girlfriend would murder me if she doesn't get proposed to with a beautiful ring)

— We don't care about gems either. I know some stones can be comparatively cheap and I honestly don't mind them not being "the real deal" as long as they're pretty.

— For her, I'm looking for gold, rose gold might be fine too.

— Ideally it should be unconventional, in the line of nature and plants, fantasy, LOTR elves... that kind of vibe.

I'm not looking for specific rings necessarily, but if you know any brands or artisans that do stuff with these characteristics that would help A LOT.

Thank you kindly 🩷🩷

JVL wedding ring

Hey I am wondering if anybody has a code to get a JVL wedding ring for the shipping fee? My husband had a ring for 9 years and lost it so I would love to surprise him and replace it with the same one!

My ring is ruined... now I got questions!

The heat and swelling finally caught up with me. My engagement ring got stuck so badly that my finger was losing circulation and the jeweler down my apartment had to cut it off. At that moment, saving my finger was the only thing that mattered. Now I'm sitting here with a cut engagement ring that's worth almost $10k. I do have a policy for insurance but I wanted to see if anyone here has gone through something similar before calling them because I don’t wanna sound dumb. Would this usually fall under jewelry insurance?

Alternatives to engagement rings

I’m planning on proposing to my gf in September on our vacation. We are two females and have decided to get married as soon as we are free to do so, but in the mean time I also want us to be engaged. However, she doesn’t like rings, watches, neckleces or jewlery in general. Do you know any other alternatives to this? I would still like to have something physical to remember this by

**Help** 😭 **I went ring shopping and now I’m questioning everything. Which would you choose?**

I’ve always pictured myself with a **3 ct emerald-cut diamond on a yellow gold band.** That vision has been in my head for years.

Then my boyfriend took me ring shopping… and now I have no idea what I want anymore.

I tried on this halo emerald-cut ring (pics 1 & 3), and I was SO drawn to it. The jeweler said they could make it in yellow gold, but that it would lose a little of the sparkle compared to white gold.

The problem is… it’s completely different from what I always imagined. It definitely isn’t the sleek, minimal “cool girl” ring aesthetic I thought I’d end up with, but there’s something about it that I can’t stop thinking about.

On the other hand, I still absolutely love the look of a simple emerald-cut bypass ring (pic 2) and the classic solitaire (pic 4).

To make things even worse, everyone has a different opinion:
**Mom:** Halo in yellow gold with fewer side stones (like pic 1) or the simple solitaire (pic 4).
**Boyfriend:** White gold halo.
**Best friend + her mom:** White gold halo.
**Me:** Apparently incapable of making decisions. 😂

So… what would you choose?
**White gold halo** (sparkliest)
**Yellow gold halo** with fewer side stones
**Yellow gold emerald-cut bypass ring**
**Simple yellow gold emerald-cut solitaire**

Also, for those of you who ended up with something completely different from what you always envisioned—are you happy you changed course, or do you wish you’d stuck with your original style?
I’d love honest opinions because I’ve officially lost all objectivity. 🥲

Mismatched wedding bands?

What are your opinions on mismatch wedding bands?

Mine (f) is silver/platinum, my fiancee is going for a black one.

I personally don't mind, but just wanted to see what everyone's opinion is on it.

After over 25 years and 10 kids together, we finally made it official. ❤️💍 My husband and I have been together for 100 years, lol, and we recently got engaged and married. It was worth every second of the wait.

I'm officially Mrs. Ramos, and I honestly can't stop looking at this ring. Every time it catches the light, I smile a little.

We had the most beautiful wedding surrounded by family, and I'm still soaking it all in. I know rings are a matter of personal taste, but I absolutely love mine.

Just wanted to share a little happiness with people who appreciate beautiful rings. What do you think?

I'd also love to hear how long you and your spouse were together before getting engaged!

Ring Inquiry 💍 Clueless about Wedding rings

So my partner and I of 5 years are looking to get engaged by the end of this year, and I've been looking at engagement rings online. After reading many reddit threads about what are good stones to use & how to find a reputable jewler I feel like I know nothing.

The general consensus seems to be that your best option for a reputable jewler is stay away from chains and online stores and go in-store to your local mom-and-pop shop. Which totally makes sense, the problem is that there is no way we could afford to drop $1000+ on a ring, which seems to be the average for a small business.

My main concern is that I won't be able to find something that is high-ish quality (I have no problem with lab-grown gems/cubic zirconia) within our budget. Frankly I'm not sure of his budget but I'm not gonna make him drop a grand considering how expensive weddings are. So my question is this: Can we find something of good quality for under $1000? I'm thinking the max is $600. I like the look the sapphire, preferably a green stone. I also like the look of leaves around the stone if that makes sense. I want something that will hold up for a while and is a tough enough stone. Any advice is helpful, thanks!

If I wear the bands closest to my heart it squishes my fingers a bit so I’ll be wearing it “the wrong way”. Haha. Fingers are a bit swollen in the photo from taking them on and off.

Engagement ring is a 3 carat antique cushion cut.
Bands are from gorjanas fine line.

Ring Inquiry 💍 Help me find similar ring!

Post image
6 Upvotes

My wife has specific needs for her ring, she works with her hands and needs something low profile, wants something extemely simple, and we need a blue stone to match my ring. We found the one in a tourist shop and it's absolutely perfect, but this one was really cheaply made and isn't something lasting she could wear.

Has anyone seen a similar ring from a reputable shop? I tried reverse image searching, but there's so much clutter in the background of this picture that it's not working well. Any tips about what this type of ring is called and what we could look up would also be helpful.

Anniversary Style

Me and my fiance (boyfriend? Lol) never officially got engaged, never did the engagement ring thing. We hate having a super simple wedding with only a few people in our backyard. We have bought each other simple rings.

My ring I found under the wedding band section, a simple band with some lab created tiny little diamonds. I only realize that it said style “anniversary”. Is this okay? Are there rules for this?

I’ve had my wedding rings for 8 years now and I’m still in love! Simple a pretty. Rose gold and natural diamonds. I have no idea what the ct is for the diamonds anymore 😅

I keep telling my husband for our 10 years anniversary I would love a matching band for the top!

The Stones 💎 Has anyone dealt with a loose diamond before?

One of the prongs on my engagement ring feels loose and I’m terrified the center stone is going to fall out. Taking it to the jeweler tomorrow but I’m wondering if something like this can be covered by insurance. Anyone have experience with this?
