How come Kris acts like this through several parts of the game?

We know that we don't control them fully and that they can interpret oir decisions however they want, and yet throughout multiple parts of the story (most notably in the mirror flavour text), it's like they're not Kris.

Let me ask YOU a question, when was the last time you used Heal Prayer? Probably in chapter 1 against Jevil when you ran out of items, right?

In chapter 5, the best Heal Prayer healing you can have is 180!! You know what else heals 180? GREEN TEA!

Not only that, but to get those numbers you need 3 FLOWER ITEMS, for Heal Prayer to be comparable to a basic ass heal item you need to give him 3 flower items! (BlueShoes, SethSpecs and YellowHat)

Not only that, but is costs 32 TP! Sure looks like a decent price, until you realise that for fights that last long enough to where you ACTUALLY need to use Heal Prayer because you're out of items (Jevil, Spamton NEO, Roaring Knight, Pink and Flowery), you WON'T use Heal Prayer, because guess what? The gimmick to spare them either requires everyone in the party to act, costs TP or BOTH!

"But what about on a save file where you fight everyone?"

WHY WOULD YOU USE HEAL PRAYER OVER RUDE BUSTER??? IF YOU HAVE THE TP FOR HEAL PRAYER, JUST SAVE IT AND USE IT FOR RUDE BUSTER!

NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE ITEM YOU GET FROM FIGHTING SPAMTON NEO IS THE PuppetScarf, WHICH, GUESS WHAT?, GIVES RALSEI TEN ATTACK AND LOWERS MAGIC!

SO HEAL PRAYER IS EVEN **MORE** USELESS!

Going back to the start, tell me, would you rather waste 3 of the best items in the game on Ralsei AND use 32 TP OR use a healing item you have access to throughout the entire chapter and you only need to win 1 battle to be able to afford it?

QUICK QUESTION!

Why is the Healing Mage the first one to die? The biggest meme of chapter 1 is Jevil targetting Ralsei because he has less overall HP, why is the guy you're supposed to rely on so your characters don't die, the first one to go?

Half of this complaining wouldn't even exist if healing items weren't so common, Heal Prayer would have done numbers in Genocide Undertale because there it's harder to grind gold and good healing items are rare.

Heal Prayer could heal 250 HP and i still wouldn't use it. Using it actively makes the battle harder.

This problem isn't even chapter 5 exclusive, it's present throughout the game, every single time Heal Prayer is outclassed by a healing item. It's just more noticeable in chapter 5 because you have access to the best healing item in the first shop and it's dirt cheap.

I like Ralsei, but his kit is genuine ass and is outclassed by basic game mechanics. Toby better buff the hell out of him so he no longer is a Defend/Item merchant.

Anyway, am i just cracked at the game and that's why i think Heal Prayer is useless, or do you guys agree with me?

yes hi i literally only played chapter 1 and i found that ralsei is very kind, very nice, suspiciously so, i feel like he's sus, is he evil guys???????? is he gonba betray susie and kris???? guys help idk whats going on
