It helps with collection records, photos and documents, service history, wrist-check journal and reminders, accuracy tracking, wishlist listing tracking, PDF exports, local backup and optional iCloud backup.

There is no account, no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs.

I’m looking for honest collector feedback. Would you use something like this? What would make you trust it with collection records? What feels useful or unnecessary? Would wrist-check reminders help or feel annoying?

Hello, I need some direction here. I'm at the point where I need a case for my watches. I've been looking around on Amazon and they vary pretty wildly. With that, I have a few questions.

\- Are there any that have larger pillows? I have a large wrist (8.5") and I would like the watches to be held securely rather than flopping around due to the bands being too large. I'm fairly certain I can purchase some after aftermarket ones, but I don't know how universal they are in terms of fitting into the case slots.

\- Is there anything I should be looking for or avoiding when purchasing a case?

\- Are they pretty much all the same? I know some have much nicer materials & better construction, but other than that.

\- Do you have any recommendations say for around $200 or less or is that wishful thinking?

I’m a big fan of mechanical movements and I find it incredibly satisfying to know my watches are precise enough to keep accurate time. I was wondering if that’s a factor for others when choosing a watch?

I'm looking for an elegant watch (think Tissot Gentleman / Longines Conquest style) that still has a timer and stopwatch.

I currently use my Fitbit multiple times a day for Pomodoro timers and timing myself on different tasks, so I don't want to lose those features. For fitness tracking, I'd start wearing a Fitbit Air (a band device with no screen like a Whoop) on my right wrist, so I'm mainly looking for a watch that looks great while still offering timer/stopwatch functionality I'd lose

Does anything like this exist? Ideally something suitable for work and social settings - not too sporty.

Are omega swatches worth it ? Are they just cheap rubbish ? If I did get one I’d change the strap for sure. Or is there better watches out there for £300 top of budget say? I do fancy another chronograph as my tissot prs200 is very old now and wanted something a bit more updated.

I wanted to know what makes you all return to buy from the same brand?

Reason being I’ve seen so many people gush over Traska for example, but on the same post have people talk about their customer service needing some help.

Other brands such as Venezianico having had a questionable? past (I believe it was Venezianico?) but rebranded and are now quite popular from what I can tell.

What makes you want to return to a micro-brand or brand and buy more of their watches when you have so many options these days?

I recently had an idea about a new watch design. It involves some mechanical modifications/ addons. I worked with AI to refine the idea, but there are some limitations there, so i would need to talk with an specialised engineer.

In the first phaze, i would need him/her to review the idea and tell me if it is feasible from a technical point of view.

Second, to identify possible improvement points, or mitigate possible issues.

Third, to generate CAD files and technical sketches/sheets

Because the idea it is not yet patented (first i would like to have this talk with an engineer), i would ask for an NDA and contract to be signed.

The potential, as i can see it, is very high that is why the signed papers are asked.

Please let me know if any of you is interested, or maybe you have a recomandation to make.

I'm looking to buy a watch box that's well-made and will last me for many years—a higher-quality piece in terms of appearance, feel, materials, and functionality.

What I'm looking for:

• European market availability (I'm in Hungary)
• Holds 8–10 watches
• Solid wood, or at least wood-veneered (e.g. MDF with a wood veneer). I'd also be happy to hear the opinions of those with more experience on this point. :)
• Includes a drawer
• Metal hardware (proper metal hinges)
• Glass lid (not acrylic/plexiglass)
• Ideally around 150 EUR max, but that's a flexible budget if, for example, there's a 200 EUR option that's significantly better in every respect.

Where would you recommend I look? Any specific brands (what do you think of Case Elegance?), websites, or stores?

I'm kinda new to watches, didn't have a chronograph watch before and to me it looks weird that the bigger second hand isn't moving, my wife and one of my friends I showed it to was immedatily asking if my watch is not on as they noticed it not moving (they are obviously not into watches either).

So my question is how bad is it for the watch if I just use the chrono function for a few hours when I wear it? I usually just wear it 1-3 times a week for a 4-6 hours, other than that I'd turn it off, wouldn't run it all the time, just when I'm wearing it.

After a few Google searches there are mixed opinions about this, and for some models they say it's ok for some it's not, but haven't found any post that is about my watch.

Does it actually damage the watch or I'll just have to change the battery more often?
Although now that I'm thinking about it if someone were to use the watch everyday and use the chrono function to measure time for different kind of activities, diving whatever then it would result in the same usage as mine?! Just for different purposes.

So recently I’ve been interested in watchmaking. The thing I’m curious about is, is this something where I can learn this self taught or do I have to go to a school or find a mentor?

And a question to those who have been doing this for a long time, is/was it worth it? Are there any skills you’ve learned from watchmaking that you’ve used in other parts of life?

Watchmaking looks so cool. I’m excited as I go down this Rabbit hole.

If you had to choose between a vintage dress watch from the mid-20th century and a modern dress watch, which would you prefer, and why?

Is there something about vintage dress watches that modern ones struggle to replicate, or do you feel that today’s dress watches offer a more compelling experience?

Also, what would you consider an ideal dress watch dimensions in today’s market? In terms of case diameter, thickness, and lug-to-lug length, what proportions make a watch feel elegant, timeless, and wearable rather than too small, too large, or too thick?
