Thanks for being a part of r/WalkAway and swinging by this 'Weekly Welcome Thread'. r/WalkAway is THE premier subreddit for those who have had enough of the left's catastrophic policies and unhinged behavior. We're a supportive community which persuades people globally to walk away from the political left through first-hand testimonials. Whether you walked away, are trying to, or are a lifelong patriot, we can share news, memes, ideas, and resources with mutual respect.
A new 'Welcome Thread' posts every week on Sunday at 1:30pm ET to welcome new members, and to hear from anyone in the community with questions or advice about leaving the left. It's also a place to ask questions and get more information about the sub, its rules, and its resources.
You can always find the most current thread stickied to the top of the sub (if you don't see it, filter the posts by "Hot").
Purpose of this weekly thread:
- For new community members to introduce themselves, learn what the sub is about, and find and get plugged into all the community has to offer
- For new and existing community members to ask questions or give advice on the dynamics and challenges of walking away
- For anyone to find the best information, resources, and tips on leaving the left and/or America's Democrat Party

Governor Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) just confirmed that illegal aliens ARE registered AND voting in NJ. If it weren’t for the Department of Homeland Security sharing that 250,000 non-citizens are registered to vote in CA, NJ, NV, & PA, they would have never admitted that illegal aliens are voting.

Here’s a translation of the video clip from Daniel Ortega’s speech.
The ~70-second video shows Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega speaking at a large public event (likely the 47th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution, with a massive crowd, flags, and stage decorations visible in wider shots).
English Translation (approximate, based on the speech excerpt in the clip and matching reports):
“They would love to win elections to make off with the schools [or public resources]. Forget about it — there will be no more elections here so they can try to seize the government that way.
No matter how much money the Yankees give them, they won’t reach the Executive.
The story is over that the parties installed by the Yankees will return to government. Never, never, never.
We are going to make laws that put up a wall against the coup-plotters and the traitors to the homeland.”
Context
Ortega is announcing the effective end of future presidential (and likely other competitive) elections to block the opposition from gaining power. He frames the opposition as corrupt, foreign-backed (U.S.-funded) “golpistas” (coup plotters) and “vendepatrias” (traitors). 
This matches the post caption by Robby Starbuck and widespread reporting on the event.
