We are looking at making a local bar in Wedgewood Houston our yearly college and NFL sports bar ( depending on the games) We found Honky Tonk Hideaway Bar as a suitable choice. They had 20 something tvs, an outdoor area like Sonny's Bar has in Germantown. A huge bar and cheaper drinks than most of the downtown sports bars. Has anyone hosted a gameday viewing there? I know they have the party buses there but that seems a bonus to my group.

I was wondering if there was anything happening in the area the night of the 12th we might get to take in. I'm thinking small local venue with good food. We are coming down for that Liverpool game this weekend but the forecast has rain. How reliable is that? I know where we are the weather can change very quickly in a day or two so if I see something on Saturday mid week, by time the end of the week comes around it might get pushed to early the next.

Saturday night we plan to hang out downtown and find a vibe that suites us. What are some absolute must see or do things, I don't mind renting a car. We are there until Wednesday. We are pretty basic GenXers we enjoy live music, good food, fun people, some funky weird stuff is fun, I would love to do a hike or explore some nature for a day. Is the Grand Ole Opry a must see? I want things to see and do that are unique and that I can't do at home, we live in Southern California and Prescott Arizona. Whats the best Nashville hot chicken? Is there a great dive bar downtown that is mostly locals? We love a good dive bar. Give me what you got!!

Hi! My boyfriend and I plan to visit his cousins who live about 45 min from Nashville in September for about 3 days. We haven't decided if we are staying closer to them or in Nashville but we definitely want to spend time in Nashville while in TN. We are planning to do some different experiences that we can't get where we live in MD. We went around the same time last year but we didn't do much other than the zoo because of the weather at the time.

We would love any recommendations for animal related activities (such as sanctuaries), for sure!
We looked into Tijon (perfume/cologne making place), Paddywax (candle making) and a few different painting related activities because I love doing arts and crafts and he said both of those sound like they could be fun so we are probably going to go with one of them unless there are other cooler places out there!
He's also a big foodie but me not so much.
Neither of us are big history buffs either so doing any of the history tours would be meh.

We looked into Lane Motor Museum because he loves cars but the website says they're closed Tuesdays/Wednesdays and we'll only be in TN from Monday afternoon-Thursday morning.

Basically, any art or animal related activities are definitely super interesting to us. We would also love some recommendations on places to eat while we're in the area.

My husband and I are going to Nashville next month and I already booked the 1 hotel but was looking into a good pool to go to one day and found out about the Joseph hotel and four seasons. We scored a really great deal on the 1 hotel and it's beautiful and have heard great things about the bar.

So my question is out of all 3 hotels which one would you recommend? We are going for 3 nights and 4 days. We only want to possibly do a pool day one of the days. Since the 1 hotel does not have a pool I was just going to buy day passes at one of the hotels that do. Would you suggest doing that or paying extra and staying at the Joseph or four seasons instead?

Looking for advice on Skull's Rainbow Room Burlesque show. I went in 2024 for a bachelorette and we waited outside starting at 9pm and watched the show standing. It was incredible and I would love to go back.

I am headed back to Nashville with my sisters and thought I would make a dinner reservation to watch from a table this time. I assumed we would pay the $25pp cover because the reservation would be for 9:30, we would order expensive food and then get to watch the show. I really can't afford to shell out $500 and I am worried we will be kicked out after dinner before the show. I have read in some older reviews that a view of the show is not guaranteed, but I feel like the odds of seeing the show are worse now. Has anyone been since this new VIP thing started? Visiting Nashville in October and planning to see a concert at the Grand Old Opry as well as the other popular tourist spots like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, etc. Wife and I aren't late night partiers but do plan on walking lower broadway street to enjoy a few drinks and listen to some music.

Question for those that have stayed or are familiar with nashville do you have any recommendations on hotels near the river front or a block or two.off broadway street? I did look at the Gaylord Resort for the convenience of the Grand Ole Opry but not a fan of having to Uber each day to lower broadway street to see the other museums or attractions. Thanks

She just thought about ice skating after going past the Bridgestone Arena and wanted to know if there’s anywhere we could get lessons. Is there any place in the area that we could sign up for on such short notice? If not, are there good places for a public skate in that time?

It’s me and my dad’s first time ever going to a NFL game and first time in Nashville. He is 60 and I’m 30 and he is in bad health and always wanted to go to a Seahawks game.
