Hello everyone! My partner and I are flying out tomorrow after booking a last minute "fuck it, let's just go" sort of trip.

We got a deal on a flight plus hotel combo that was too good to refuse and we are staying at HM Ayron Park. We're both 35 and we're not adverse to nightlife, but are hoping to be able to chill and do some excursions a couple of days.

Is the area we're staying in full of mad stag parties etc and has anybody booked experiences through Revolut and have you any recommendations?

We're also tempted to go to BCN to see Armand Van Helden's set at BCN on Saturday. Will we stand out as a couple in their mid 30's? And is the VIP worth it?

Any advice is really welcome! ✌🏼

Considering Mallorca next summer as it looks beautiful. One thing I can't help but worry about is of its largely become a tourist destination which overly caters to tourists in those places.

What I mean is I don't want to feel like I am in Britain or germany but just with a beach and warm climate. I don't mind the level of tourists, my questions is more have areas changed to cater to those tourists and what they'd like. Like.offering beer and food that may be German or English rather than Mallorcan?

I get there or lots of towns to visit etc which remain true to the local heritage. Can you stay in those towns or are there beach towns which may have a hotel but remain true to themselves?

Has anyone found that you balance going to the beautiful tourist places but in a way also staying in a tranquil setting which gives you a feel.like you are in traditional mallorca?

We planned ahead months ago and secured a boat tour from Sant Elm (we're staying in Alcudia). Great!

Now I'm reading all about road closures, although there isn't clear info that I have found... also generally concerned about traffic being at a standstill on Ma-1. We've got an outing scheduled that morning near Soller and our initial plan was to have lunch in Soller, then heading down to Sant Elm from there. But I'm wondering if we should just skip the Soller stuff that morning and head straight to Sant Elm to secure parking as early as possible. Getting stuck on the way there in early afternoon would be miserable.

Not sure if anyone has resources/info, suggestions, etc. I know this is fairly unprecedented so not entirely sure how to handle it, and we're happy to err on the side of caution.

I was wondering if anyone can advise on how much a taxi would cost from the above hotel to the nearest Lidl on Juan Carlos avenue. I am aware there is a bus but only one an hour. We are going self catering so want to stock up.

We’re staying in the Aya Seahotel in Playa de Palma for a week at the end of September. I didn’t realize when we booked it that this is a heavy party area. Is it still like that at the end of September? I was hoping not.
We’re going for a relaxing holiday but still looking to do a few days trips (without renting a car) and spend a bit of time in Palma itself. Any suggestions for itinerary/must do things?

We are in Mallorca from 02.08.26 and need a rental car, after a little research I realize that most cars in the terminal are not really affordable. Outside the terminal there are sometimes offers from seemingly "shamy" providers around 200€ for 7 days. Now our question is which provider should we take? We want to spend about 300-350€ maximum and have no provider who makes our holidays hell.

Staying near Palma for a friends 30th, looking for a restaurant for a nice lunch somewhere near the sea so we can make a day trip out of it and get a taxi somewhere the lunch and swim. Happy with either side of the island as we’re in the middle.

About 10 years ago I came to Mallorca and stayed in Portocolom with my family. Back then it was bustling, in the evenings there were plenty of bars open, and there was dancing in the square in front of JC colom. Visiting again and it is so quiet, during the day is like a ghost town and evenings not much better. Is this because of the heat or has there been a general slowdown in visitors to quieter towns?

First time visiting Mallorca with a friend during 11-16 August, travelling out with Ryan Air.

We're looking for hotel suggestions near to the Airport and local beaches. Price for 5 nights we're looking to spend around £1200 to £1400 maximum for 2 people.

We've decided on a Hotel and not a Studio. Single Room with twin beds. So far we have found Indico Rock Hotel Mallorca and HM Dunas Blancas and I'm seeking advice from Redditors based on your experience for more options before we book tomorrow.

Planning to go to Palma for 6 days with an infant. I'm not sure if I should stay in Palma or stay somewhere else. We felt Palma would be the best so we have stuff to do around us. With the baby we are thinking of doing a few days trips to the beach, get lunch , do a siesta, and walk the evenings in Palma town before getting dinner. Is the weather still warm for the beach ? Pool ? That would be ideal if we can still do the beach or pool so my kid can keep himself busy. What are your thoughts ?

We were able to extend our trip and add two extra nights to the beginning. Right now we have 3 nights in Valldemossa and 4 in Arta. Torn between adding nights in Palma or Santanyi and would appreciate any advice! For context - we have never been before, it’s our honeymoon, and we love a variety of activities (beaches/pools, hiking, history, shopping, and of course eating good).

I forgot my charger at home and my WHOOP is down to 12%.

So we booked a holiday to Mallorca in august, partly because of the eclipse on August 12.

We would like to book ANY local restaurant where the sunset (eclipse is very close to end of sunset) can be seen. I've only found normal restaurants that are fully booked, and I've found special restaurants that dare to ask €100 a person for the right to visit (excluding food and drinks).

I'm desperate, anything, like a pizza restaurant, is totally fine, as long as it has the view.

Is there really nothing normal priced left? I was thinking booking 3 weeks ahead would be early enough. Guess not!

(PS I also looked into boat trips including dinner but those are also ALL fully booked or insanely expensive August 12).

Also I'm guessing any viewpoint will be completely filled up hours ahead. Normally not a problem to join that, but we got my 80yo mother with us so not really an option now.

Myself and my daughter got the bus from Puerto Pollensa to Pollensa old town for the Sunday market. I’ve been charge 10.80 for the outbound journey - same for my daughter. Basically the bus was rammed, we were sat at the front of the bus and the driver opened the front door so we got off there - tapping off on the enter machine. so does the charge think we entered the bus again is that why it’s so expensive? Is it worth contacting TIB to explain? Thanks for any advice

Planning our first trip to Mallorca for a week long vacation (May2027) and really looking some advice on the best resort to stay around Palma.

We are a couple in our late 40s who like to relax, embrace local cuisine, sites, culture.
Ideally we tend to have a mix of beach/pool days and activities even if it’s just independently exploring the local area around hotel.

Have been reading about Sa Gerreria district and the area around Mercat de l'Olivar for authentic cuisine.

My partner has some mobility issues that fluctuate so whilst he doesn’t use any mobility aids we still like to go places that are easily accessible and within easy walking/transport from our accommodation.

Our nightclub days are far behind us, but we do like some nights out with music and good food.

I've hired a 5-person boat for 12 August to watch the total solar eclipse, departing from Puerto Portals — I've already worked out the best spot at sea to watch it from. The one thing I'm missing is a licensed skipper, as I don't hold a boat licence myself.

Alongside me and a friend, there's room for 3 more people:

• If you (or a friend) hold a boat licence and fancy skippering for the day, you're welcome aboard completely free — no charge for the trip, as long as you're happy to steer in exchange for a seat. Everything's genuinely covered, no hidden costs.
• Ideally that's 2–3 of you coming along together, with at least one licensed skipper in the group. Happy to see a copy of your licence before we confirm.

Además de mi amigo/a y yo, hay sitio para 3 personas más:

• Si tú (o algún amigo/a) tenéis licencia de navegación y os apetece hacer de patrón por el día, estáis invitados completamente gratis — sin coste alguno por la salida, siempre que estéis dispuestos a llevar el timón a cambio de la plaza. Todo está realmente cubierto, sin costes ocultos.
