Dr. Nila Devanath, Bill Fleming, and Patrick Mosolf, all Democratic candidates running in Virginia's 2nd Congressional District Democratic primary, participated in a forum hosted by the Cova Coalition in Virginia Beach. Candidates were asked for their opinions on immigration, veterans affairs, affordability, and defense policies. Former Rep. Elaine Luria, who was also running in this primary, was not in attendance. The winner of this primary election would go on to face Incumbent Rep. Jen Kiggens (R) in the general election. The nonpartisan Cook Political Report with Amy Walter rated the general election as a "Toss Up."
VA-02, did you catch the Democratic Primary Debate? 🌊✨ Our grassroots movement took center stage, and I was so proud to stand up and fight for the working families of Hampton Roads!
We didn't hold back. We talked about the real issues that the establishment likes to gloss over: guaranteeing healthcare as a human right, fiercely protecting reproductive freedom, and finally getting corporate PAC money out of our elections!
🛑💼 Working parents, veterans, and everyday people need a representative who will actually listen to them, not special interests.
