The time has come to appoint 1-2 new moderators. I know many of you are excited to join the team and exercise your love of t-shirts while banning annoying people!

About this Mod Role:
You will be acting as a moderator for /vintagetees, and assisting in the daily maintenance of the sub. We are looking to fulfill 1-2 mod positions, depending on quality of applications received. Applications will be open until July 7th, 2026. Applications will be reviewed and you will be contacted via your Reddit DMs if you are selected.

What We are Looking For:

We are looking for a vintage t-shirt enthusiast who is passionate about shirts themselves, beyond reselling. Experience with collecting, dating, restoring, and/or archiving t-shirts and t-shirt history is preferred. Being a reseller will not help or hurt this role, but if you do resell, you will need to provide evidence of a positive feedback record.

Your primary tasks will include, but not be limited to: deleting posts which are not caught by automoderator (such as promotional posts, legit checks, price checks, how old is this?, more info on this tee when all the information is on the shirt, etc), moderating group discussions (deleting and banning people who are throwing insults and slurs,) locking posts which have veered off topic, and other attempts to skirt the rules of the sub. If you are chosen to be a mod, full duties and responsibilities will be given to you at the time of appointment.

Requirements:

A vintage shirt enthusiast. A Reddit user for 2+ years (the more years, the better.) Good karma standing. Current and prior mod experience preferred. Consistent posting record. An enthusiasm for shirts beyond their monetary value.

This is a demanding role that needs an attentive, available moderator. You don't need to be glued to the sub 24-7, but it does need to be checked throughout the day.

A thick skin is necessary, and you must not be afraid to ban people quickly and frequently.

All questions must be answered on the application. Keep in mind that this is submitted through your username, so you clever ones who spam it will be banned immediately and permanently.
