I live in the DC/Arlington (Virginia) area and I get so jealous of all the watch parties I see around the world! AFAIK, there aren’t any watch parties but surely there are fans out here. How does one go about starting something like this?

Clarification statement: 

Hey,guys

These last few days, I've seen a lot of things being said about me, and I felt it was important to speak directly to you because I believe that everyone who has followed my career deserves to hear my side of the story.

The first thing I want to clarify is that at no point did I negotiate a salary or finalize any kind of agreement with another organization while I was still part of KRÜ. The only thing that happened was that I was contacted by people expressing interest in my work and asking whether I would be interested in hearing about a future project. That's a normal part of any professional athlete's career, and it never meant any disrespect toward the organization I used to represent.

My desire to explore other opportunities was never just about changing teams. I've always been an extremely competitive person, and I believed that competing in a different league against increasingly stronger opponents could help me grow as both a player and a professional. At the same time, throughout the season, I was already feeling dissatisfied in my relationship with the organization, and I began to believe that a change might be the best path forward for everyone.

At the beginning of the year, some internal situations and decisions took place that, personally, I didn't identify with. I respect that every organization has the autonomy to run its project in the way it believes is best, but for me, that period ended up being difficult and contributed to me feeling increasingly worn down.

In March, my reality changed completely. I began suffering from tendinitis and tenosynovitis, conditions that affected both my ability to play the game and my mental health. I think anyone that competes at a high level knows how painful it is to want to give your best and realize that your body simply isn't responding the way it used to.

It was a period during which I lived with pain, uncertainty, and fear every single day. Fear that I wouldn't be able to return to my best level. Fear of letting down my team, my teammates, and everyone who had always believed in me. Little by little, all of that pressure developed into emotional exhaustion. I was still logging into the server wanting to win, but I could no longer feel the same sense of freedom and joy that I had always felt when competing.

It was during this period that an organization from another region reached out to express interest in me. Given everything I was going through, I spoke openly with KRÜ and told them I was interested in hearing about that project because I believed a new environment could represent a fresh start for my career. In the end, nothing came of it, and I continued fulfilling all of my responsibilities as an athlete for the organization as usual.

Before the Game Changers final, I also spoke with the staff about my need for an appropriate period of rest after the competition so I could focus on getting better, both physically and mentally. I truly felt that I needed that time to return to be the player I was.

Some time later, I was informed of the organization's decision to move me to the bench due to performance reasons. It was the organization's decision, and I respected it, even though it was one of the toughest moments of my career. No athlete dreams of being in that position, especially after knowing how hard they fought to overcome all the difficulties they were facing.

I want to make it very clear that this statement is not an attack on KRÜ or an attempt to create conflict. I'm grateful for everything I experienced while wearing this jersey, for the people I met, and for the opportunities I was given. As in any professional relationship, there were very good moments and others that were more difficult. That's simply part of it.

My only goal here is to clarify information that has been circulating in a way that does not reflect what actually happened.

Now I want to look ahead. My focus is on recovering my health, returning to play at my highest level, and continuing to build my career the way I always have: by working hard, treating people with respect, and giving my best both in and out of the server.

To everyone who continues to believe in me and support me, thank you so much. The messages I've received have made all the difference over the past few days. I hope that soon I'll be able to repay that support by doing what I love most: competing.
