Picked up this today for my horror VHS collection. It's seen better days but I'm very happy with it for my collection

Anyone ever seen a promo copy of this tape? I’m sure they’re out there, but this is a crazy find from a box of already crazy finds.

I was kindly gifted these two beauties. So happy to add these to not only my Alice Cooper collection but to the VHS stacks as well.

I already had the 2001 dvd version. Was actually looking today for any Evil Dead DVD's, Heat, or Donnie Darko's director's cut. But i found this. Nooice

Went thrifting earlier today, and found a copy of the third naked gun movie. I've been searching for this particular tape for a while to fill out the trilogy, but not only did I find it, it's a promotional tape! It was listed on the price sticker as "generic VHS".

Just got this home from an estate sale along with a 27" CRT, 26 bucks for the combo. My research seems to suggest it's a fairly decent VCR, but does anyone know from firsthand experience?

Also, any suggestions on routine maintenance or upkeep to prolong its life? Haven't owned a VCR in years, a mystery no-label tape I found sparked a new interest in the medium. Thanks in advance.

So, I work at a bar that plays solely vhs tapes, on a vcr, nostalgic vibes ya know?
I figured it would be cool to make some tapes of DVDs I own that I’m not tryna rebuy just for work. Skate videos, newer movies etc.
so I bought all the wires.
I’ve been recording on my vcr on SP and it won’t replay my blank tape without insane tracking issues, on my own, recorded on VCR
. I tried SLP, and it’s working and playing pretty clear, given vhs quality. However. When I bring the tapes to work, THAT vcr won’t play them at all and it keeps flashing a blank blue screen like no input or bad bad tracking issues. Idk if I’m missing something simple or my tapes are bad quality? The work vcr will play everything else no problem with good quality. So I’m not sure the disconnect with my recording. Since they work on playback on my own vcr at home.

This is the set up. MacBook to hdmi to rca, to vcr input. VCR to tv output and external cd/dvd drive.
Essentially mirroring my tv to my MacBook and recording off the tv.
Pls help.

I got some problem with a VHS stuck in my VCR. It reads VHS correctly before. The cassette was in there when someone change the moved the VCR. I tried to eject the VHS but commands seems to no respond.

Here a video of what happen (I removed plastic part to see what’s happening, but dont understand).
It’s a BlueSky XR 600.

I tried different things : spamming eject after unplug it for like 2 mins. Press eject while plugin it.
Tried to move gently the little white part on the MDB2B motor to manually try to eject the VHS (But I did like 10 tours and the rears moved a millimeter).

Don’t know what to do with this :/ Would appreciate some help.
