Question Looking to Rent Out Part of Warehouse

Does anyone have any connections to people who rent warehouses looking to rent out unusable space month to month? I’m looking for about 600-700 sq ft and access to a forklift to unload shipments. I also would need a space that a couple times a week, customers could come and look at a product and load into their vehicles. I would then transition to my own warehouse! Looking for any leads.

Question Did anyone else hear a boom at 2:45am?

Hey! I made this throwaway since I’m in a location specific subreddit.

Early this morning I woke up at around 2:45 AM, I’m not sure if it was my dad making noise that woke me up (he’s was smoking brisket for an event today and had to get up at that time to do stuff for it). I also am a regular person who wakes up at random times of the night, which is annoying, but the times usually are around the same time as when I woke up, I usually wake up around 1 or 2, then go back to sleep.
After waking up and checking the time, I heard someone in the kitchen and ignored it, and then was working on getting comfortable in my bed when I heard some sort of boom from outside. It wasn’t in our yard or anything, it sounded like it was far away, it even echoed, with the first boom and the echo as if it were far away, if that makes sense.
Of course I suppose if could have been a dream, but usually when I get suddenly awakened from dreams, it’s when I get awakened suddenly by someone/something, and I’m able to remember parts of the dream that led to it.
I got up and went into the kitchen where my dad was washing his hands or washing something and asked him if he’d heard it, but he had his AirPods in. I didn’t see anything looking out the window.

It didn’t sound like it was in my neighborhood, like direct neighborhood or anything, maybe more towards the direction of American Fork and beyond towards Timp?

I live in Lehi, and haven’t ever had anything like this happen before (me suddenly hearing things like this).

My mom said she was awake at that time and didn’t hear anything and said it must’ve been part of a dream, but I was already awake when it happened, but I dunno.
I live close to the American Fork and Lehi border

Did anyone hear anything? If not, maybe I’m just delusional and should forget about it lol

Discussion The music in Utah County is INSANELY good. What is your favorite local artist and why?

Seaslak's "Coer de Fleur," which came out last week, has absolutely blown me away. The lead vocal and the harmonies are so well done. Just simple, solid folk.

I've also been obsessed with the pop punk bands Box Elder and Hollow Hill, and the more pop-leaning artists Garon Brett and Beeson.

Question Would anyone here be interested in mentoring a local kid?

Hi everyone! I help with Utah State University's 4-H Mentoring program, and we're looking for a few more volunteer mentors here in Utah County.

If you've ever thought about mentoring, I bet it's more doable than you realize. Most mentors spend about an hour a week with one youth doing everyday things (getting ice cream, hiking, playing games, working on homework, or just talking). You don't have to be an expert or have all the answers; you just need to consistently show up.

I've seen how much of a difference it makes when a young person has one more adult consistently showing up for them. It's a small time commitment that can have a lasting impact.

If mentoring isn't for you, we also have openings for youth ages 9–15. If you know a family whose child could benefit from having a caring mentor, we'd love to connect with them. The program is free for families!

I'm happy to answer questions about the program, the screening process, or what mentoring is actually like.

Question Utah city rental info

Hey!! Does anyone here possibly live at 120 or 220 bend in Utah city? What is the consensus so far for living there or near it? I love the idea of the 15 min city, and would be interested in moving there but I’d love some eye witness reviews!! I’d be interested in knowing about the average utility costs and how efficient the maintenance team is, as well as the noise levels of the construction.

Thanks!!!

Is there anyone that would be willing to teach me some pool maintenance? My sister bought a house in orem that has a small in ground pool. She says she had someone come out and "do the chemicals" but not really clean it or anything. Hahaha. I found the filter switch and its recirculationing from the Jets, so its doing something. Lol. I dunno we grew poor we've never had a pool. Hahaha

Work Related Clinic referrals

Hey everyone, I’m a CNA with a few years of experience in Utah County/SLC area. I am completely burned out on bedside and trying to get into an Intermountain or Revere outpatient clinic as a PCT/CA. If your clinic is hiring and has a human manager who will actually look at a resume, please DM me. I’m happy to use you as a referral so you can get the signup bonus.

Picture Stoneware mug from DI

I bought this and a couple other clearly handmade and signed stoneware mugs from the DI in Saratoga Springs a few years ago. I know it's a long shot that the original owner sees this-- but please know you've made many cups of tea and coffee a joyful thing for me. I was contemplating that in a bath this morning, and felt like sharing. :)

Question Freezer Meal Delivery

My brother-in-law and his wife are having twin boys tomorrow (yay!). I live on the other side of the country, and won’t be able to visit them to physically lend a helping hand during these early days of new parenthood. Does anyone know of a freezer meal delivery service in the area that provides good quality meals, delivers to homes, but isn’t a long-term subscription service? I’m wanting to do 2-3 meals a week for one month, just to take something off their plate (ba-dum tss) during those first few rough newborn-trenches weeks. If anyone knows of a service/kitchen that does something like that, please let me know!

They live in Springville, so southern Utah County.

Question Any recommendations for a Fancy Wedding Night Hotel in the area?

Howdy all! I'm getting married in September, and the fiancé and I are debating going home after the reception or getting a hotel for the first night. We're both from Salt Lake, but our honeymoon is southern Utah, so if we do a hotel we want it to be in Utah County to get a slight headstart on the drive. If we do go with a hotel, are there any that you would recommend? Specific pros would include a jetted tub in the room and breakfast in bed.

Question Plums with Red Inside?

This feels like a stupid question, but the internet and a few of my neighbors have only left me more stumped. Anyone know where I can find plums that are red/purple ish on the inside? Those ones are way juicier and sweeter, but every time I think I’ve found them, they end up being yellow on the inside. Help! What do I look for?!
