Harassed by UO students

I work night shift at a grocery store. Waiting in my car currently, as was I when this just happened. Im chillin, before my shift. Clearly these assholes have never had a job. I adjusted in my car and some fuck walks over as his friends are screaming things about “if we are fucking”. He reaches into my car to try to shake my hand after asking me if I am “good” and then walking back to his car where they continued to yell about what I might do for work and other things.

I know you’re on summer break but have some respect for the community you are a temporary part of.

Hi, my name’s Porter. I’m an incoming law student at UO my roommate was supposed to be another incoming law student, but he decided to attend a different school.

The apartment is at the MW2 on 13th and Ferry, just a few blocks from campus. It’s a 2 bed, 1.5 bath at $1880/mo

I’m looking for someone easygoing and tidy to take over his half of the lease.

Please reach out if you’re interested or have any questions, and we can get to know each other

Riichi Mahjong, anybody?

Started playing riichi mahjong a few weeks ago and I'm hooked, but I don't know many people/places to play irl. I have a regular tile set, but no point sticks or accessories like that. Would anybody be interested in meeting up to play some? I'd also be down to teach basics to anyone wanting to learn!

has anyone lived in earl or bean recently? I want to know what it’s like to live in each one before making a choice as those seem to be the only dorms available. I heard bean has private bathrooms but how many are on each floor? Overall how are they?

Almost 7 yrs one of Oregon's best swimming spots Salmon Falls Is finally Open. Unfortunately this is their main priority. Just like everywhere nice, no more average people, no more average cars, only $200k sprinter vans and Million dollar RVS. If you are average, forget it, that was yester-year.

cheap parking?

I’m going to be a student at UO Eugene in the fall. I want to bring my car as I will be a second year. I don’t want to pay the 400 dollar parking pass but need overnight parking. I’ve looked into the city of eugene passes but can’t seem to find anything. I’m probably missing something though. What’s the cheapest way to go about this?

How hard is it to graduate early with a psych degree?

I just finished my first year at UO double majoring in education and psychology (with a spanish minor) but I’m considering dropping my education major because I’m not very interested in teaching anymore. I already have 86 credits and all of my gen ed credits done; does anyone know how hard it would be to graduate 2-3 terms early? I am definitely planning on going to grad school and would love to be able to save some time and money.

Subleasing an Apartment!

Hi! I am looking to find someone to sublease my apartment from September- December. I just got accepted to study abroad for the semester, and will be gone during the fall quarter at UO. I am flexible and you can move in August if needed. I live in Arena District and the rent is $760 per month plus $100 for parking. If you guys won't be using parking, I can cover that! Utilities are usually around $30 per month, and the apartment comes fully furnished including in unit washer and dryer, and the room shares a bathroom with one other tenant! The apartment building is about a 4 minute walk from GSH and very close to the bus stop! Please feel free to reach out to me, especially if you have any more questions! :)

I was wondering if anyone knows wether itll be three or two seperate beds. Also, how available is it for people doing Carson meal plan as my roommate is.

Is living in Earl really that bad?

I am an incoming Freshman and having a hard time seeing the positives of living in Earl. I’m on the fourth floor. Not a single other double was available anywhere else than Earl or Bean. What are the positives of living in Earl? What can I expect? Both me and my roommate are social people and I’ve heard Earl is quiet.
Any ideas are appreciated!!!

I need someone to take over my lease for the upcoming year(Sep 2026- Aug 2027). Originally, I was going to be living at the apartments but I’m switching schools so I’m not coming back to Eugene next fall. It’s 855 a month that includes water, waste, wifi, electricity, etc. For convenience, washer and dryer are in unit. it’s 4 bedroom 2 bathroom(the room you will get is the big one off to right in the pic, the room shown is just the normal demo one) and very nice for something that’s relatively cheap than most apartments in Eugene. Anyways, message me if interested or have further questions. You don’t need to be a student for these apartments. Also I’m willing to pay first month of rent. Here’s the website to see further pics https://www.arenadistrictapts.com

Safety?

Hey guys! I got an apartment at Union on Broadway and I have one night class a week. Do you guys think it’s safe for me to walk from campus to Union at around 9pm? Or should I try to find hourly parking on campus and just drive home?

when i try to purchase for the 26-27 school year (which it says it’s available for), it wants to place my plan into the current school year. my billing selection is not my student account, it is the ecommerce website UO uses for card transactions. so idk why it does this.
this also happened last summer and i had to have my plan refunded despite using the ecommerce website because they claimed it was for the 24-25 school year when i actually wanted it for the 25-26 school year. then they told me to purchase again in september. wtf?

Do you find U of O Challenging?

Hi everyone! I'm a high schooler considering applying to U of O most likely for its Advertising major. I have a 4.0 at a pretty good high school and enjoy the challenge of AP classes and other programs. I will most likely apply to the honors college as well. I was curious what course load was like (like hours per day/week) in the SOJC specifically and just for General Ed.

I dropped it off at the LTD station's front desk.

I'm not a student but I'm pretty sure it was a student pass, since it said valid through 2029.

Petition to increase maximum credits for a term

Did anyone ever submit an ARC petition to increase maximum credits for summer term, beyond 24 credits, as summer terms are divided into three different 4-weeks sessions.

What is considered a good housing registration date?

Me and my roommate both have July 20th for our housing registration date, but I’m super worried I won’t get a good dorm hall that I want. I’d really like to get either Unthank or New Res. With this registration date will I be able to get a good dorm?
