I don't have a skill issue or anything, i'm just deaf (profoundly). Allegedly, getting the micro froggit fight requires you to do a code in the maze of the dark ruins. ALLEGEDLY, in order to know what the code is you need AUDIO CUES. So like, is there a predetermined code i can use or is it randomized. Cuz if its randomized i might be cooked

Hi, everyone. Welcome back to another Just Yellow post! Over the course of today and tomorrow, I will be showcasing Chujin's mother and father, starting with his mother: Misaki Ketsukane! It translates to beautiful blossom.

[ TW: TOPIC OF PREGNANCY (FERTILITY, MISCARRIAGES) ]

{ Personality }

She was smart. Rather composed and feminine. Like Kurosune there was a lot of modesty in her achievements and what she did for a living. A strong sense of sentimentality. Misaki was sweet to just about everyone, that is until you gave her reason not to. She could switch her attitude towards you at the flip of a dime, and she had a lot of bite and wit...... and she could also be pretty damn petty. Typically in the playful sense, thankfully, but don't put it past her to hold a grudge against you all because you said something slightly wrong about her. As a result she could at times be prone to jumping to conclusions. She had a very strong work ethic, and was taught the values of such. It's part of why she had waited so long for a child, too. Because she genuinely loved her career, and loved the intimate privacy she would share with Kurosune when the two were allowed to collaborate on a project. Compared to Kurosune, she didn't get as much attention or recognition. But it was never something she quite minded. Not fully, anyways. All that mattered was helping the Underground.

{ History }

Misaki grew up in a relatively average, happy family. She was the youngest of her three brothers, yet included all the time in their rowdy activities.

At the time, falling down was a rather common occurrence. So when one of Misaki’s parents fell down it wasn’t incredibly unheard of but devastating all the same, especially to Misaki herself as she was rather young. It was the first time she got to witness and endure something so unsettling and upsetting.

When they had finally dusted, the family was deep in their grief and sorrow. Misaki had been hit with a rough reality of the current Underground, for no longer did it quite seem so bright to her. And yet, simultaneously, the loss was what made her closer to her family. Already close, they had now all lost someone very personal and important to them all.

Her remaining parent was her strongest link, and also the one to begin telling Misaki some of the realities of the Underground. But what Misaki found, and concentrated on, was the glimmers of hope. The resilience of monsterkind. Misaki was inspired by how hardworking and tough their parent, and the rest of society, was. And since then, she was always dedicated to helping. Doing small acts of kindness to help lead to a better world.

She met Kurosune when he was still involved with the guard at the time, her items saved by him from a petty thief. After their brief exchange afterwards, the rest was history from there.

She was in love with his resilience and calm, trustworthy demeanor. Often she would meet up with him to tell Kurosune all about her interests and rather specific visions for the Underground.

There was mutual interest from Kurosune about Misaki’s aspirations of working with geodes and botany, her often sketching and even painting huge palace gardens and having creative ideas with hedges. It became a common trend for Misaki to teach him about these things, which sparked something within Kurosune to look into architecture and landscaping.

And before Kurosune knew it, her desire to make the Underground more livable became his vision too. The growing relationship between them was largely a secret for the sake of Kurosune. However, her family was thrilled and happy for her when she told her about being proposed to.

Misaki was no stranger to the Ketsukanes having rather traditional values and beliefs. Growing up with a Japanese background had helped her adjust, but she also was willing to fit into other traditions and cultural customs they had. She knew how much it all meant to Kurosune, even with the shadow of his father tainting so much of it in her eyes.

She disapproved of and outright despised Kurosune’s father. Many times she tried to persuade him to completely cut ties with him, but Kurosune wouldn’t budge. He always said that while he disapproves of many things his father did, it would be dishonorable to the family if he abandoned them.

Together, Kurosune and Misaki became rather popular in their prime. And with both enjoying their careers so much, it took them quite a long time before they felt ready to begin settling down and giving up their immortality.

Misaki became an incredibly active member within the community once Asgore did his expansion. The criticisms of Kurosune aside, she saw it as a risky yet necessary act of progress. She was extremely thrilled and happy to work on New Home alongside Kurosune, and made sure to add a large public courtyard that could be enjoyed by monsters of all ages.

Even when the construction of New Home was completed, Misaki would go on to do other projects for citizens of the Underground. Like Kurosune, she was eventually called on by Asgore and created the unique and breathtaking landscapes that became the kingdom gardens. With her wealth, and upon Kurosune’s agreement, she would be known as quite the philanthropist and often donated to those in need.

She would also go on to publish two books with her expansive knowledge on her most favorite subjects: one about geology and the other about botany in the Underground.

When the time felt right, Kurosune and Misaki would attempt to have their first child. However, it took years before Misaki got pregnant and it ultimately resulted in a traumatic miscarriage that broke some of her confidence. This trend of miscarriages and struggling to conceive would only continue, with long breaks in between each disaster.

Misaki wanted to remain a positive force. She didn’t want Kurosune to worry about her wellbeing, though he saw right through her joyful facade. Desperately, more than anything, she wanted a child of her own. She wanted to give Kurosune the gift of being a good father and having the heir to the Ketsukane family. Each miscarriage made her feel that there was something wrong with her and the feeling would only continue to worsen.

That is until she finally had just one successful pregnancy, that being with Chujin. It felt as if her hard work and her desperate hoping had finally paid off at last. She thanked the Angel for a chance at motherhood and decided to retire from her long standing career to bond with her child. Kurosune on the other hand would continue to be the breadwinner of the family, something that had Misaki feel a sense of guilt but also appreciated the free time she now had.

Because of the trauma in her life, she dedicated nearly all of her time to Chujin. She was a major softie as a mother, for better AND for worse. They had a difficult time saying no to him as all she could see was the amount of effort it took just to have him. How much he means to her. Although there were still times where Misaki would lecture and discipline him, it was more gentle and passive than Kurosune’s approach.

Of course, Kurosune was more tough on his child. He worked to teach and enforce Chujin about the beliefs of the Ketsukane family albeit never with the hostility and aggression that his own father did. And although Misaki didn’t mind it, seeing as how she knew very well this was going to happen, she did take issue with Kurosune being quite the harsh and stubborn critic at times. This almost always led to Chujin rushing to Misaki’s side and seeking her approval once more.

When Chujin died some time after his injections, Misaki was distraught. The one child she was able to have, the one bit of hope she had, all gone so sudden.

Not long after his passing, she became delirious and fell down. She dusted not long after.

{ Trivia }

• A respectable geologist with a love for botany as well. She was infamous for making beautiful gardens suitable for all social classes of monsters.

• She taught Chujin how to garden.

• Loved to take strolls through Waterfall and listen to all of the things other monsters have whispered in the echo flowers.

• Kept a collection of geodes and rocks she found interesting or pretty. Kurosune had made several shelves and cabinets for these trinkets.

• Although Kurosune is credited for the work of New Home, she contributed via building material ideas (the rock used for NH) as well as other traits still visible in the area such as the flowerbeds.

Figured I'd dabble in some spritework with Zenith Martlet. Originally intended her to be larger (hence the measuring stick), but oh well. Had the idea of her raising her wings since the anatomy would have her dragging them across the floor. Just a cute lil detail!

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Now I gotta figure out the other perspectives. Let alone the walking animations...

I don’t wanna spoil anything, so I’m just gonna let those two chapters and the summary do the work for now. It’s safe for work, no romances or anything like that throughout the series. A little bit of Hunchback of Notre Dame inspired start.

Guys I need help with a roleplay where Kanako dies. Basically the idea I have rn is that is that Kanako dies to Integrity.
