Question Graduation, how does it work?

Hey all, I had a question about how grad works. So Im doing a double major, would my grad ceremony be based on the department, or my bachelors degree? Ik we are allowed to pick from either major what our degree would be, so after we pick that do we do grad based on that department?
I’m not graduating soon, just curious!! Thanks :)

Question Enrollment Blocked

Does anyone know why I'm not able to enroll in this course? I couldn't initially, so I decided to wait until July 22 for priority enrollment to end, but I still can't, and I have all the prerequisites.

Question Looking for a video recording of University of Toronto/Uoft graduation/convocation ceremony on 2022 Dec 16 (2pm)

Upvotes

My son graduated from UTSC in 2021, with his postponed graduation ceremony on Dec 16,2022,at 2pm due to the pandemic. I lost my phone, so I lost the precious footage of my son waving to me on stage that day😭. Does anyone/your family members/your friends have the full footage of that graduation ceremony (2022 Dec 16, 2pm)? It might include the footage of my son.

My family and I were seated on the left side of the stage.

There was no video archive for that day and time on Youtube or MyMedia and we have contacted the school, they don't have it.

This was my son's only university graduation ceremony in his life, he waved to me and our family, it's precious and unforgettable.

I am willing to pay for the video copy if you have. We can do the download through the Google Cloud. I would appreciate any help you can offer.🙏

P.S # I will keep waiting here and repost monthly if reddit allowed, until for a good news hopefully📍This is the 6th repost since from 2025 Nov 06.

Courses Full labs/practicals

I'm about to be a first year student and have enrolled in my courses. However I'm waitlisted for two of them which have labs, and since I'm unable to enroll in the labs while being waitlisted I want to know what happens if I get off a waitlist yet all the labs are all full or blocked? My whole schedule is a mess already and I'm worried whether I'll even get off this waitlist for a class I need.

Question BSc of BSa

Okay might be a dumb Q
So I’m enrolled in the life science program and my degree in acorn says BSc. Now if my majors are two arts so health policy and political science will my degree say bachelors of art of bachelors of science? I’m kinda confused

Humour Exam copy + Reread petition is going to be the end of me

Like why... whyyyyy am I begging for months to see my OWN exam? After 2.5 months of pure ghosting, I finally got an update for my exam copy request, which I paid the deposit for... did I get the copy... NO. It's been like 15 days, but no copy has been given to me, and the issue is I want to do a reread of my exam, and the final date to request a reread is 24th (AKA THIS WEEK) in 3 days, but I haven't received my exam yet to see and request for the reread. Like, why is this place making my life 10 times harder? I can't do this anymore, for the love of god; never have I begged soo much in my life.

Question grad timeline for the mental health studies specialist/msw cdp?

hey everyone,

im currently going into my second year of the mental health studies specialist program, and im interested in applying to the cdp with the msw.

i was wondering how graduation works in terms of timing. since the msw is an additional two years, would i graduate with my bachelor’s degree once i finish my undergraduate requirements, or would i only graduate after completing the entire combined bachelor’s + msw program?

if anyone has gone through the program or knows how it works, id really appreciate the clarification. thanks so much!

Question ACORN won't let me waitlist a course even though I meet the prerequisites and I'm in the major — is this because priority enrolment hasn't ended yet?

Hi everyone, I’m a UTSC student in the Evolutionary Anthropology major. I’m trying to enroll in ANTB15H3 (Human Biological Variation and Evolution) for Winter term.

I have already completed the prerequisites (ANTA01H3 and ANTA02H3) and I am officially in the Evolutionary Anthropology major.

However, ACORN is only letting me add the course to my cart. It says "Course enrolment is not available for you currently", and I cannot even join the waitlist even though the lecture has a waitlist available.

My enrollment start date was July 9, and priority enrollment ends in a few hours.

Is this happening because priority enrollment is still active and the restriction will lift after priority enrollment ends? Or is there another reason why I cannot waitlist the course?

Thanks!

Rant Help I’m trying to enrol to some courses and the program managers aren’t responding anymore :((

Who do I even ask for help atp? School starts in less than 2 months and I only have 3 courses enrolled. I’ve emailed the program managers about my course enrolment issues, but I haven’t been getting responses anymore. A lot of the courses I need are being rejected or I’m unable to enrol in them because of program requirements/restrictions, and I’m getting really worried that I won’t have enough courses for the upcoming year.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there someone else at UTSC I can contact or book an appointment with who can actually look at my degree requirements and help me figure out what I’m supposed to enrol in? 😭 I’m in Arts and Media Management and New Media Studies, if that helps. Any advice would be really appreciated because I genuinely don’t know who else to contact at this point.

Question Question About Program Enrollment

I’m a second-year student waiting to be accepted into the Psychology major. I’m currently in the Food Studies minor but haven’t decided on my second minor yet.

When I registered for courses, ACORN said I needed a major and two minors, so I temporarily selected random programs to enroll in my classes.

Can I drop those temporary programs now without losing my enrolled courses, or do I need to keep them until I’m accepted into Psychology and choose my second minor?

Advice What motivates you?

It’s summer, i don’t want to be here. I feel like i’ve gotten to the point in my degree where im thugging it out because it would be a waste to quit now. Fear of failure is the only thing keeping me going.

It’s so hard to stay motivated to study. and i mean REALLY study. like to sit and learn and take it in and apply it. not just passively listen.

what keeps you guys going and what inspires you to study with intentionality ?
