We have been on USCellular prepaid for years, and forced to switch to T mobile in May. We still do not have our credits ( total$600) moved to T mobile. They can't even see it. And us cellular can't transfer it on their end because they don't have access to t mobile software, so what the heck am I supposed to do? I have been to all the customer service departments and still nothing. The local store told me they don't have anyone "qualified" to handle it. Even though they were the ones to tell me it would magically appear in 1-2 months.

I’m paying off my “free” phone through installments of my bill through USC. It hasn’t been quite a year yet and T-Mobile obviously has bought USC.

Will things stay the same on my bill/plan or am I going to be screwed and have to pay the rest off in full?

We've been with US Cellular for almost 30 years. I realize they've moved to Tmobile and we've updated the sim cards in our phones. The US Cellular website says our account has been moved to Tmobile but after making an account on the Tmobile website, there is no record of our US Cellular account. And I've never received a message from them confirming the account has been moved. They have no record of our numbers, phones, service plans, etc.

I've been using the Quick Pay form on the US Cellular website for nearly a decade, but it apparently no longer functions as of this month even though it says bills can still be paid with it. I paid the bill with it last month without issue. So what do I do? Am I going to have to go to a Tmobile store just to pay my bill now? The closest store is 2 hours out of town since the local US Cellular store was shut down a few weeks ago.

Update: To all the people that insulted me and called me dumb instead of offering help, it was the web browser I was using that wasn't playing nice with the US Cellular website. I swapped to Firefox and was able to submit the payment. Thank you to the one kind person that DM'd me that suggestion.

Rep here we do not have the power that you think we do. I know most of the people on here aren't that type of customer, but there are a couple that have seen on the posts that are questionable.

People if you going to a T-Mobile you have to give them your ID. So we can scan it everywhere else has your data at the end of the day. That's the only way we can open the account we cannot bypass it.

Every carrier the main three ask for your ID this is nothing new

We can't look at your account over the phone.

I have friends who have nothing now due to this merger they lost their livelihoods. In this economy some might go homeless soon.

Also just the point for the people here if you make open threats at us we can legally trespass you and depending on where the closest store is you're screwed.

The employees aren't enjoying the merger either so stop screaming at us like we're the ones who approved it

Hello, I bought a Samsung Z Flip 5 from the US. Initially, I didn't try a SIM with it, but when I did, it didn't work. I reached out to where I bought it, and they said it was unlocked by USCellular, but it still shows "SIM locked" in the settings. What can be done, please?

Just left our store for the last time. Our store was one of the last agent stores to close in Wisconsin. I worked for UScellular for just over a year, and it was certainly an experience. I started working here shortly after a pretty big life change, so today feels like the end of an era. Pretty surreal. Despite some issues with customers (not including the last few months) I overall really liked the job and I feel like I’ve grown a lot professionally. Things were so good before the merger began in November. Things were simple, and sales were plentiful.

The last 2 or so months have been a very different experience. While T-Mobile did not handle the merger especially well, the reaction from a certain set of customers is unacceptable. From customers throwing tantrums over mundane and mild issues, to some making threats of violence, to some actually attacking coworkers over stupid shit. This merger was so revealing about the sheer stubbornness, aversion to minor change, and entitlement of a sizable chunk of customers. In my town, most of the customers or people coming into the store are elderly, and the elderly pretty much exclusively accounted for all of blowouts we experienced. Vitriol and impotent rage being cast to front line store level employees over systemic issues that we have no control over. The boomers already had a bad reputation for entitlement to begin with, but my personal experiences from these last few months did nothing but reinforce that stigma. Deeply upsetting and disappointing. So while this job was probably one of my bests, the ending was marred with disappointment at just how awful some customers were.

Surprised I haven’t seen this posted yet. Tmo rep here. If your service sucks come in or call Tmo. There is a known issue with mostly iPhones where the eSIM doesn’t come over correctly. In our system the EID is wrong but the IMEI is right and it makes the sim not work properly.

Also I know it sucks. I know you shouldn’t have to. Don’t shoot the messenger. But your service might suck cause of this imei/eid issue.

I know currently you have to purchase full retail if you are still on us cellular network and purchasing through USCC.
Are they taking device trade ins off the retail price if you do this?

RIP… The end of an era, my phone finally just switched to T-Mobile 😭 does it even mean anything? i.e. difference in reception quality or broader 5g coverage? I’m unsure cause I know the switch happened a while ago, but how come I’m finally getting it. Or is the only difference literally that my phone now says T-Mobile on the top instead of USCellular

Recently I have seen an upswing in angry calls and interaction from customers about this transition to T-Mobile. It is more so now because some of the pre transition sim swaps were found to not work. Customers have called the store and cussed out me and my associates over the merge and expressed how displeased they were with the information or the lack of information.

If you are one of these and are going to a store or calling the store to yell and complain about the fact that USCellular is now absorbed by T-Mobile, keep in mind the employees at you favorite USCellular store are more than likely to not have a job after July. When you yell at us about how you did not agree to this nor that you wanted it, we are there with you. The only difference is that you will have service after you are moved from USCellular, once we are moved we are unemployed.

How in the world does a company buy out another company and claim that the coverage will be even better because they are now using t-mobile towers and us cellular towers for coverage and the shit is 10x worse. Is everyone dealing with this?! Will it get better or should I switch to another service provider?

I think my biggest complaint about this is that they didn’t cancel the device payments still owed . I still owe on the two other phones on the plan , I figured T-Mobile would remove that at least and I’d have some reprieve on the bill . But nope .

I need to add a new line to our plan ASAP. My understanding is that I can't as a US Cellular customer. Here are what I believe are my options:

1. Wait until our account changes over to T-Mobile. This may still be several weeks.

2. Switch to T-Mobile now.

3. Get a line with another carrier and port the number once we change.

Any other options?

Number 2 has some complications. We share an account with my mother, who doesn't live near us, and the account is in her name. I am authorized to make changes to the account, but can I transfer it to T-Mobile without her?

So I am waiting for my account to switch over, I hate not having any guidance as to when it will happen, wishing there was a way to force it without canceling service and switching it myself early, that just won't work because of the payment plans on the phones. I would like some of the features of the tmobile service, like visual voicemail since mine stopped working with uscellular a while back and they were never able to help me get it working again, then they discontinued the service. Also looking forward to the tmobile parental controls. Anyone else in the same boat of waiting and waiting? Anyone know what the rhyme or reason is behind who switches when?

Should I do the Costco TMobile switch from AT&T?

I got the text that I was switched over to T-Mobile. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Ever since then my battery drains twice as fast. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have an iPhone 14 Plus that was originally on USC. Never had a problem with our T-Mobile 5G home internet system, but ever since the buyout/switchover happened, if I’m connected to the internet it will just randomly quit loading every few minutes. If I disconnect from the internet it will work off data fine, but I no longer have strong signal in places where it used to be great, which doesn’t make sense because it’s the same towers, right? Anyone else seeing similar problems?

We are a family owned business who uses US Cellular and are in need of additional equipment for the safety of our crew ASAP .Our Reps phone no longer works and Customer Service basically can’t help us or give us any direction due to the merger. Has anyone experienced this and how were you able to get help?

Is this what we can expect? Also customer service was terrible, sounded like a sweatshop behind them. Had to repeatedly ask to 'say it again' because it was so noisy.
