Hey UFManagerPro Dev, would it be possible for you to implement a feature in UFM to move files from within zip archives without needing to extract the entire zip file? The MiXplorer app does this excellently. Moving files out of zips without extracting them avoids cluttering folders when we only need one specific file from the archive. Thanks in advance!

A new screen recording feature has been added to the mobile app, allowing you to capture high quality video of your connected TV screen directly from your phone or tablet.

When connected to a paired Android TV or Google TV device in the connected TV section of the app, you will now see a Record Screen option right below the existing Take Screenshot option.

Tapping it opens a controls panel where you can choose a maximum recording duration from one minute up to ten minutes, and toggle whether you want to capture audio.

Once you tap the start button, a live countdown timer shows the active recording status.

You can let the recording finish naturally when the timer runs out, or tap the stop button at any point to end it early.

The app automatically fetches the completed video from the TV, registers it with your device storage, and saves it straight to your Movies / Recordings folder so you can watch, share, or manage it immediately.

This feature is available on the mobile version of the app when connected to a paired TV device.

A new targeted large files analyzer feature has been added to help you quickly identify and clear out heavy files taking up space inside any specific folder.

When managing files on your device you often want to clean up space in a specific directory like downloads or screen recordings without having to scan your entire storage volume.

I built this new tool to let you focus directly on any single folder and its subfolders once your storage has been indexed.

It instantly finds files larger than ten megabytes and displays them ordered from largest to smallest, giving you a clear view of where your space is going.

Each file is marked with a clean location tag showing whether it lives directly in the folder or inside a subfolder, and you can select multiple items to delete them directly from the list.

This feature is available on both the mobile and TV versions of the app.

Once your storage is indexed, on mobile you will find it under the tools section when selecting a folder.

On TV you will find it in the toolbar when selecting a folder.

On mobile you can use the floating action button at the bottom right to delete selected items, while on TV the delete button is fully focusable using your remote D-pad navigation.

A targeted Duplicate Finder feature has been added for individual folders.

Previously, finding duplicate files required scanning an entire storage drive through the storage analyzer tool.

Now you can scan a single folder and all of its subfolders directly from the file browser.

This feature is available on both the mobile and TV versions of the app, provided the storage drive containing the folder has been indexed.

To use it on mobile, select a single folder in the file browser and open the tools menu from the action button at the bottom of the screen.

You will see a new duplicate finder option.

On TV, selecting a single folder displays the duplicate finder button directly in the top action toolbar.

Opening the duplicate finder starts a scan focused strictly on that folder tree.

The scan groups potential duplicates by content hash and displays wasted space statistics for each group.

You can expand any group to review individual files and select which copies you want to remove.

If you accidentally select every copy in a duplicate group, a safety warning will ask for confirmation before any deletion takes place.

If no duplicate files are found, a clean status message will confirm that the folder is clear.

When you leave the screen, your folder list updates automatically to reflect any deleted files and freed space.

First of all a big thanks to u/GoRo2023. Been extensively using Ultimate File Manager Pro for a while now. With each update it is getting better and better. I didn't want to open a multitude of topics, some are mentioned before. Here are a few things I want to address for your todo list:

• New File Creation: Creating a new file opens the editor, but it is not possible to edit the new file. You have to close the file and reopen it to start editing. Preferred solution is to create the file and show it in the file manager. If the user wants to edit the content of the file he/she can open the file.

• Advanced Sync: Advanced sync to SMB doesn't work. Probably missing the // in the location.

• UFM Player: UFM Player doesn't respect the set sorting of the folder. If you select descending UFM Player uses the ascending sorting.

• SMB Connection Reliability: SMB connection is not reliable. UFM Pro looses connection some of the time. For instance: The loading icon keeps spinning and after a few retries everything is fine again. Or while browsing the folders custom sort and filtering isn't applied. Going out of the folder and back in the custom sort and filtering is applied again. My first instinct was it's a network issue, but I ruled that out already. SFTP doesn't have this issue.

• Batch Delete Glitch: When deleting a batch of files on SMB (for example 100 large files in a folder with 500 large files) at the end UFM Pro shows an empty folder. The action takes a few minutes obviously. Probably it is linked to the SMB connection. Almost got a heart attack 😂

A new feature has arrived allowing you to adjust the size of the rows on the settings screen to suit your preference.

If you have a device with a smaller screen or simply prefer a more compact view, you can now switch between Small, Medium, and Large row layouts.

To find it, open the settings screen and look at the top header bar right next to the title.

You will see a list view icon button.

Selecting this icon opens a menu with the three size options.

Choosing Small reduces the padding, icons, and text so more options fit on screen at once. Medium keeps the standard spacing, while Large gives each row extra room with larger text and icons.

The change applies right away as soon as you select an option.

On mobile devices the options appear in a bottom sheet, while on Android TV it opens a dialog designed for D-pad navigation.

This feature is available on both the mobile and TV versions of the app.

Current way it works from my experience:

* Instant sync is triggered when a new file lands in source folder

* The sync profile runs

* Only files that are present during the sync will get synced

* New files arriving in the source folder during syncing are ignored

Improvement suggestion: * New files arriving during syncing triggers the sync profile, but..

* The trigger gets queued

Or

* After the sync profile has run UFM checks for new files

* If new files are detected in the source folder the sync profile runs again.

A new application called Hawkeye TV Browser has arrived for Android TV.

I built this application from the ground up specifically for TV screens, optimizing it for D-pad remote controls.

When you open the application, you are greeted by a start screen that has a search bar and a row of quick links for popular search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo.

You can navigate between these elements using the D-pad on your remote control. Simply move the cursor over a button and click the center button to open it.

The browser operates with a virtual cursor that represents a mouse pointer on your screen.

You can control the speed and color of this cursor in the settings menu, which is accessible by clicking the three-dot menu button on the far right of the top toolbar.

This menu also lets you manage your open tabs, view your browsing history, access bookmarks, and toggle between desktop and mobile site user agents.

To load a webpage, click on the URL entry field in the center of the toolbar, type your destination or search query using the on-screen keyboard, and press the go button.

The website will load below the toolbar, and the toolbar will automatically hide when you scroll down to give you a full-screen view.

You can reveal the toolbar again at any time by moving the cursor to the very top edge of the screen or pressing the D-pad up button.

I have built in support for downloader codes. If you enter a short numeric code into the URL field instead of a web address, the browser resolves this code to its destination link and displays a dialog box asking if you want to open it or install the file.

This makes downloading packages on TV straightforward.

For privacy, you can open incognito tabs from the menu, which disables cookie tracking and prevents history saving.

There are also settings for blocking pop-up windows and enabling do-not-track headers.

Please note that this is only the framework that has been built thus far and a lot of additional work needs to go into this, once I am happy with the results, I will open a beta for this application on Google Play, this app is prune to have several bugs on launch and will not be a polished version as yet, I am aiming to have a fully working beta available in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

It already supports full use of keyboard and mouse if you do not want to use the virtual cursor.

I have completely redesigned the supporter tipping screen with a brand new look and feel, and expanded it to support five separate tipping tiers.

This update is available on both the mobile and TV versions of the app. (Google Only)

To find the new screen, open the main menu in the app and select the option to fuel the developer or check your supporter loyalty card.

When you open it, you will see a fresh layout featuring a summary of why support helps power the application, a progress tracking section showing active community contributions for the current month, and a vertical list of the five coffee tiers available.

These options range from a quick ristretto shot up to a full coffee bean bag.

Each tier in the list features a dedicated coffee icon, title, description, dynamic price fetched directly from the store, and a buy button.

The cappuccino option is highlighted with a gold popular tag representing the community favorite.

Tapping the buy button on any row will initiate the secure checkout.

On TV, you can navigate between these items and their purchase buttons naturally using your remote control, and the focused item will highlight in amber to show your selection clearly before checking out.

Once your purchase goes through, you will see a celebratory splash screen showing customized particle effects matching the colors of your chosen coffee.

Any contributions you make are stored locally on your device and contribute toward your supporter progress.

A new feature has arrived for managing files remotely.

I have added a connection type selection screen when launching remote management to give you direct control over your connection layout.

When you select remote manage from the home screen and enter your personal security pin, the application now presents a prompt asking whether you want to connect using the desktop companion or via a standard web browser.

Selecting the desktop companion option adjusts the main display to hide all the advanced security certificate configurations and certificate fingerprints that you would normally need when browsing from a browser.

Instead, it displays a clean device internet protocol address and a simplified status indicator.

This interface is available on both the mobile and television versions of the app, and I have customized the selection screens so that you can navigate between options using your television remote control or touch inputs.

If you choose the web browser option, the screen displays the full web address with security certificates exactly as before.

To use the companion, launch the desktop application on your Windows computer.

The application automatically searches your local network for active mobile or television devices.

When your device is discovered in the selector, click connect and enter the same personal security pin that you specified on your Android device.

If network scanning is blocked on your router, you can manually type the device internet protocol address shown on your Android screen directly into the companion.

Once the connection is authorized, a secure, dual-pane desktop window appears.

You can then navigate folders on your computer in one pane and folders on your Android device in the other pane.

Dragging and dropping files or folders between the panes transfers them instantly.

You can also sideload applications remotely by dragging any package file from your desktop and dropping it onto the Android folder pane to install it immediately.

I have also updated the product website to include a dedicated desktop companion section.

I would like to ask the UFManagerPro developer to add the feature of using online storage services like Mega, MediaFire, Google Drive, and others. I am not sure if this feature already exists, but if it does, it is very confusing to find and log into the storage; this aspect needs improvement.

As you requested, I am officially asking for the above support here for a dedicated Windows App (not Web) so all 3 devices are covered (PC/Mobile Phone/Nvidia Shield).

An improvement has been made to the onboarding flow of the FOSS build.

I have added a notification on the initial language selection screen informing users that by continuing, they agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Because this notice is now visible upfront, the subsequent terms and privacy acceptance screen is skipped entirely, taking you directly to the permissions setup.

The app still registers your consent timestamps in the shared preferences exactly when the language is confirmed.

This simplified experience is active on both mobile and Android TV versions of the app, and you can still find the full terms and privacy policy documents in the dedicated Legal section at any time.
