Hi, i have a problem with my tufting gun, the gun stuck in the fabric and the engine makes a noise, yesterday it works fine. I cleaned it with brush and oil, however I didn't find the problem. Thanks in advance

I know how to put together furniture but this frame is proving difficult, I bought it from China and its pretty decent quality for what i paid, but these are the directions and Im having difficulty putting it togeher.

Does anyone have a similar frame and any advice on the correct way to put it together?

I have a question regarding glue and was hoping some of you are able to give me some insights regarding this.

Currently I am working on some 80x80 carpets, but am going through my tufting glue very quickly.

After some investigation I saw that clawlab uses TPU powder glue and a heatpress. However I don't see it advertised anywhere else to seal up the back of your projects.

Does anyone have experience with TPU powder and how well does it seal the backing of your carpet?

Any advantages or disadvantages that I should take into account?

Long story short, my stepdad asked me to make a rug of for his fraternity. Finished it, delivered it to his house and he was very happy with it. But then he called me after I left to tell me the order of the Greek letters were backwards…..
Of course I felt like a dummy, but he just put the rug infront of a full length mirror and everything is all good.

BUT PLEASE NEVER FORGET TO FLIP YOUR IMAGE IF IT HAS LETTERS IN IT!!

Probably one of my more detail-heavy projects so far. The lightning and linework definitely tested my patience 😅 the lettering def needs more practice but overall pretty happy with the final result. Let me know what you think!

This is my second sardine rug I’ve made. I attached the first silver roll with a rough sew job the first time but didn’t like how it looked on the back. Any advice? I tried a rivet gun but the fabric isn’t strong enough. Worried metal grommets will also fall through.

Hello tufters I was wondering how do yall go about when some body asks for a custom rug be done? I was thinking of making a menu of sorts showing price/detail/color requests or does anybody have a form they have people fill out and you go over and grade it? I feel like sometimes people ask very vague questions or have requests but they really don’t know what they want. And sometimes I get into this awkward stage where I just basically tell them to come back and tell me what they want. Am i overthinking things or do i just get better at telling people what they want

I been making rugs for a short time but know I can do better. But here’s my thoughts

I think I should pull the canvas tighter before tufting
My canvas shows thru the yarn when I fold in the edges to glue down
Should I trim the yarn lower?
I think my setting is too fast so I should slow down
Detail is hard to carve for me

If you have anything to critique me on please lmk
