1K to 7K in less THAN 1 MINUTE - EWC Finals
Hey everyone I made a video about breaking down some map reading, using the EWC finals between PARI and BetBoom as an example. There's one small detail that turned this game from a 1k net worth lead to a 7k swing in under a minute.

Do hero voice lines and personalities affect how you play?
Do hero voice lines and personalities affect how you play?
When I play Dota, a hero’s voice lines and personality have a surprisingly big impact on how I approach the game.
Centaur is a good example. His tough, aggressive attitude makes me play more conservatively, but also more confidently and aggressively in lane.
I try to show through my positioning and trades that I’m not afraid of the enemy. His personality also makes me more willing to farm patiently because I feel confident that I can become extremely difficult to deal with later in the game.
The voice lines reinforce that feeling. If I kill someone with Hoof Stomp, I’ll immediately use “Stomped!” If the enemy uses five ultimates on me and I survive, I’ll use “What a waste.”
It almost feels like I start roleplaying the hero without consciously intending to.
Does anyone else experience this? Do a hero’s voice, personality and voice lines affect the way you play them?

Is maxing sprint second on slardar still correct?
You max crush first bc it slows and lets you farm. Then usually max sprint second.
But in the last many months sprint has been gradually stripped down. It used to have regen attached to it and extra movement in water, now that’s just his innate. It also got its move speed and cooldowns nerfed
Now at max level it’s a 10s 34% move speed boost with a 17 second cooldown, and you’d have your bash at level 1 which is +35 damage
Or if you maxed bash first you’d have +200 damage, and a 10% move speed boost with 33s cooldown. But the slow resistance remains the same so i find it serves the same purpose for getting out after blinking in
Or is the movespeed important because it’s meant to be spammed to speed up your farming pattern?

Blink Dagger WD - Core Item
Why is Blink Dagger not a core item for WD? I understand the utility/team aspect of buying Glimmer etc but I feel like the one thing WD suffers from is postioning. All his spells are short cast range with cast animations, and his ult requires you to be channeling it.People will buy dust when they see you have a glimmer and just reveal you instantly.
People buy Blink on Bane all the time but I almost never see anybody buy it first on WD, and both Bane and WD suffer from the same problems.
Getting blink first and waiting for an optimal time to get a good maledict ult on a high value target is better if you are playing this hero.
I have been getting blink first recently on WD and have been benefiting from it a lot as it allows you to choose exactly when you want to go in.
I'm aware in higher levels of play support budgets can be tighter so a Blink is not feasible.
Thoughts?

How to last hit when enemy is standing on top of the creep (Dota Labs Fix)
I still see this happening all the time during my coaching sessions. You are laning against a Primal Beast, Broodmother, or Underlord, and they intentionally stand directly on top of the dying creep. You try to secure the last hit, but you end up clicking their massive hitbox instead and I had many people on my streams complain about that as well and being unsure how to deal with this.
I know this Dota Labs feature has been out for a while, but a surprisingly huge number of players still aren't using it.
The solution: You just need to enable the Dota Labs modifier key that prioritizes non-hero units. When you hold this bind, your clicks go straight through the enemy models, guaranteeing you hit the creep underneath them. (You can also set a toggle version if it works better for u then holding a key.
I made a quick 60 second video on exactly how to set this up and what it looks like in game if you prefer to see it in action: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sJOouOluHW0
Hope this helps some of you secure those highly contested ranged creeps.

Dagon on QoP
QoP can feel hard to play if you feel unsafe about blinking in and casting Q, so the cast range helps her cast it without blink, and cast range is always super strong with blink as it helps you with farm, catch, fleeing- everything. What do you guys think of building it on her when she can't survive with Bloodstone, or just as a 6th item, since it has synergy with the spell damage amp from Veil/Bloodstone?

BetBoom vs VG Game 1 (EWC Semis) - Macro Gameplay
BetBoom won semifinals vs VG and there are small things they did as a team, decisions on the map, rotations, how they used their advantages, that I find them very interesting to share it with you all.
Also it's been a while since I posted, more than 6 months honestly. Trying a format that's quicker to put together so I can actually keep this up. If you're into this kind of videos, subscribing helps a lot.
Let me know what you think, or if there's a game you want me to look at next.

Ember Spirit just fundamentally broken?
He's meta like 95% of the time. I dunno if he just does too much or numbers are too high, I played 20 games of Ember to learn
Him and already feel more confident in winning on him then heroes I've played hundreds of games on.
Ewc 61% winrate very often being first or second phase picked. I think the level 15 doubling flame guard damage talent is just stupid strong like how's this a real talent it sounds like a level 25 talent. Strong with every rune, only loses to cheese matchups, can build pretty much anything, the aghs is broken honestly if you're ahead and get aghs it just feels too easy from there, I feel I can do anything and everything on ember except kill rosh or towers fast.

Vlads on pos1 terrorblade instead of falcon blade?
Lowkey seems pretty strong you can get an early ring of protection , lifesteal and mana regen to help you farm and the aura obviously helps you teamfight and buffs your illusions a lot. I get an early fluffy hat which later builds into hurricane pike.

How Do You Spend Your Shards? Kill Streak Effect Disappointment.
First time dropping 150k on a kill streak effect, i thought it was gonna shower my hero in gold or something. At first i was really disappointed by what the effect was. After some time, i love it. I cannot live without it. It makes prioritizing the badguys so much more fun a rewarding. It basically Pay-2-Play lol.
Anyway, im at 100k tokens (casual player, no dota+, solo queue only --- so it goes pretty slowly). How should i spend it this time? Im thinking about just getting another kill streak effect haha

Best Evidence 1 - Silencer, the million dollar ulti
Such a player would be worth million dollars if really existed...That he doesn't exist will cost Valve millions of dollars...
this post considers several cases of silencer from video Dota 2: The A.I. Apocalypse - at 12:00 https://youtu.be/fVdkb5x3wMU
- At first he lands a perfect ulti while WR is starting to fight Doom. The GS comes exactly at the moment WR is realeasing the first arrow. You can literally see the first arrow appearing in front of WR when the GS sounds. https://youtu.be/eG2HGS6HND4
Notice that Silencer is killing creeps on his lane and in his player view we can see that he is really busy with last hitting and denying. He doesn't move his camera before casting GS to have a look what is going on.
The only way how he can now that Doom and WR are getting close is through the minimap. Doom had been visible like for 10 seconds before the GS was cast. There was no knowing that WR is going to fight him (unless they would be 2 real players on voice chat). Thanks to this and Silencer being busy, landing such an extremely precise ultimate at the exact moment when the first arrow is released is something from the realm of dreams. This synchronization is making the attack extremely effective and gives the enemy the least possible amount of time to react.
(In my video D2AA I'm mistakenly saying that the ulti lands when the first arrow is landing. After further observations I realized that it is exactly when it is shot ! )
2) now speaking about this ulti:
We can see Silencer on the bottom lane t2 tower area. He is heading to the tower. Without scrolling his screen he checks Warlocks ongoing TP through clicking on his portrait on the top of the screen. He triggers GS cca 1 second before War finishes TP to the top lane at t2 radiant tower.
But there is nothing. No threat. There was Weaver a few seconds ago but he disappeared as he went invisible. No fights on the map. Use of the ulti is very curious.
He casts it when the invisible Weaver (not visible to radiant) approaches the xp shrine. At that moment is in the closest distance to War. But he still isn't in a casting distance of any of his spells neither attack distance. But we know that the GS was meant for Weaver from the fact that Silencer checked War's TP progress before he cast it.
So it seems to me that the use of GS with it's long effect it is giving the two guys (War+WD) a tactical advantage - a manouvering time when they can decide whether to attack weaver or rather keep defending. It would also prevent weaver from bursting down one of them because during the time of GS Weaver would be able to run to them and attack.
3) This beauty of examples is really brilliant
It is originally from D2AA video but also in Who is Running Boosting Services - https://youtu.be/H7QNdAquwYM at cca 8 mins.
Silencer and WR are pushing a lane. WR starts running away into the jungle. Silencer is remaining on the lane. In a short moment two things happen simultaneously: WR turns by 180 deg. and is now running back to Silencer. Silencer switches his wards in the inventory to have the sentry on the top.
Immediately after that (cca 1 sec) Weaver emerges from the fog close to Silencer and quickly goes invisible. At the same moment Silencer plants the sentry.
So WR and Silencer can just start dishing into Weaver without hesitations.
So this is another example of Silencer and in this case also WR knowing what is happening in the fog of war and reacting to it in a very organized and synchronized manner which allows them to attack Weaver in a very effective way.
The way how Silencer swaps his wards in the inventory also piqued my interest because from my experience it takes some time to do it. I mean that there is a small delay after the wards are switched before it is possible to plant them. If the wards are switched and the ward planted immediately it in my experience uses the previous ward. I guess this is natural for online play. But the Silencer doesn't seem to have problem with it.
4) And the last example from this match:
Here we can see Spectre for radiant suddenly attacking Sniper via ulti. Doom is nearby but not visible on the minimap. He is of course coming to help. He emerges from the fog for like 200 ms, then gets covered by the fog again and from there blinks next to Spectre.
GS lands in the moment Doom targets his Blink Dagger (I remember that I played him) and the GS comes precisely after targeting the blink but before he blinks. So after the blink he is already silenced. So no casting for him for a few seconds he is a eunuch.
The silencer again not scrolling his screen so the only information about this fight is from minimap. So catching Doom so precisely to interrupt whatever he was doing but right after he engaged blink is just breathtaking.
This also looks like a well manufactured split pushing for the radiant. We can see again Silencer coupled with WR.
--------------------------------
Conclusion: Here we can see why the Open AI 5 has got over 99% winrate. You couldn't wish for better GS'. The synchronization of Silencer with WR is highly suggesting the presence of this powerful AI.
The tactical awareness of Silencer is just unmatched. Casting GS without any fight actually happening just for a reason to create a tactical space for 2 support heroes which was against an enemy who was actually invisible and in the fog of war at the same time! And that was even performed just by looking at the minimap only!
Such a precision of casting GS exactly when a first shot it fired and then exactly between blink clicked and blink performed - even by the best human players it wouldn't be achievable I believe. And to do it in online game? Don't even think about it.
The fact that he is using GS for his teammates and not just for himself is the best indication for me that it is actually an AI playing it and not a human cheater using Umbrella software.
No 3rd party software would be intelligent enough to autocast GS in such situations. A cheating software cannot evaluate a situation when a fight isn't happening yet and it need to create a tactical space around teammates. Because it can't read teammates' minds. It doesn't know if they would attack or defend. So for example in the first case the GS triggering at the same time like the first arrow the ulti would triggered delayed because latency need to be included in a case of a cheat software.
Contrary to that this is what the AI excels in. Whether it controls a few or all players in the team it knows what they are going to do. Then logically it is doing it at exactly the same time. The AI can get heroes together if an enemy is approaching still hidden in the fog so it makes sure nobody of them gets surprised. The AI is best at playing as a team with a tight coordination. It isn't good in soloing that's a domain of human players (and it is also very hard for AI to fight it, that's why it needs to have a superb tactics and precise synchronization and it also has to use cheats! - otherwise it wouldn't be winning)

Any immortal carry weaver players here?
Hey guiiiz. I spam weaver carry and I’m divine 2. I’ve been at this rank for a long time now and I’ve decided it’s time to try and improve and break through.
Does anybody who plays carry weaver have any replays I can watch combined with advice or something?
I never ever have asked for help regarding dota2. I guess I need to post some replays of mine, right? I can edit post tomorrow with replay, but hoping for any advice/insight/replays in the meantime. Thx xoxoxo

Do you guys feel like early game is emphasized too much?
Like most of the time, we can get away with 2 stupid deaths mid game and it wouldn't affect the match outcome that much. However, you die 2 times in lane before 8 min in any role and it feels SO bad.
Losing lane is also punished so badly, like if you do okay in ur lane but the other 2 lanes are losing, the game all of sudden feels so difficult with the enemies taking over the map and cores can't even farm properly. If this happen, most of the time you will start losing t2 and you are stuck hg praying for the enemy to fuck up
You can also easily get away with 1-2 bad teamfights mid game and it wouldn't matter that much but when the enemy team gank your lane and take your tower in early game, all of sudden ur core get their battle fury/radiance/maelstorm at 20 mins.
Another infuriating part is also the mid role, if they fuck up their lane, the winning probability easily skews to like 70% favoring the enemy team. And there is nothing u can do about it
