Would anyone local be willing to take in a 4 week old duckling?

I know this is a long shot but I’m trying to exhaust every avenue I have available to me. I had three ducklings and I lost two to a predator attack last night despite having electric fencing and what I thought was a very secure place for them. I have one duck a female magpie that is slightly injured, it’s a mostly superficial wound. I’m worried that without a flock or other ducks she’s not going to thrive and become depressed. Is there anyone in Trinidad or the surrounding area that has ducks and would be willing to take one more? She’s a wonderful social girl and I would hate to see her fail to thrive because of the traumatic loss of her flock.

If you use Linden this is a beautiful thing. Keeping pressure on the city to do something has finally paid off.

Read the full resolution here: https://cms2.revize.com/revize/trinidadco/4313_001%20(1).pdf?t=202607141230190&t=202607141230190.pdf?t=202607141230190&t=202607141230190)

Due to the ongoing extreme drought, the Trinidad City Council has implemented additional Stage 3 water restrictions, effective immediately. We appreciate everyone's cooperation as we work together to conserve our community's water supply.

Lawn Watering (6:00–7:00 a.m. ONLY):

Even-numbered addresses: Wednesday, Friday & Sunday

Odd-numbered addresses: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

Flowers & gardens: Watering is limited to a bucket, quick shut-off nozzle, or drip irrigation system.

Additional Restrictions:

🚫 No filling swimming pools

🚫 No washing vehicles at home

🚫 No washing sidewalks or driveways without permission from the Water Utility Director

🚫 No new sod or seed permits (all existing permits are void)

🚫 Overwatering is prohibited

Please ensure sprinklers are properly adjusted so water does not spray onto sidewalks or driveways, and only operate during your permitted watering day and between 6:00–7:00 a.m.

Extra-territorial water customers are strongly encouraged to reduce water use and implement conservation measures. City Council may adopt additional restrictions if drought conditions worsen.

Thank you for doing your part to help conserve Trinidad's water resources.
