So I took the biggest step yet and came out to my younger sister as Trans. And as always she was my sarcastic asshole sister and is 100% supportive. š„°

This year was insane. We're a remote company and I'm probably the second most senior employee at 15+ years. But the collective stress just had me broke and I told everyone. I was out as non-binary but the medical transition was something I was figuring out.
Survived and nearly everyone was supportive but my nerves were toast.
My last 6 months.

Wanted to share a funny story. I was out at a restaurant this afternoon as you see me in the pic. Older woman comes up to me and Iām sure you can guess what Iām thinking happens next. Not so!
She asks me if I ever played basketball because of my height. Where I went to college. If I follow the WNBA (I donāt). If Iām religious (weird but w/e).
We chat for a minute or two and she asks me if I worry about the future. I reply diplomatically. She hands me a Jehovahās Witness card; āthere are good things coming and you should learn more.ā
I politely thank her and she leaves. Guys and girls⦠if a JEHOVAHāS WITNESS practically invited me to a meeting, I guess I must be doing something right š
Hope everyone is having a marvelous day!

40 years old, realized last March with full-blown certainty that I am and have always been a transgender woman.
Sadly, I've been grappling with chronic Lyme disease for the last 22 years of my life, thanks to a ~12 year misdiagnosis of fibromyalgia and getting zero treatment that entire time. I've somehow climbed most of the way out of that hell, but still doc's estimates are another year before I'm healthy again. I take that with a grain of salt, personally I think it could be 2 or 3.
I'm autistic, I have methylation gene mutations in my MTHFR and one other gene (GAD1, maybe, need to double check.) So HRT may not be possible until Lyme is over with because those mutations make my body sluggish at processing and detox and it's all being taken up by cleaning out the infection. Because of that I've been a little timid about taking actual steps to transition, but the other day I decided to try an AI gender swap and it really changed things for me.
I don't know if anyone else experienced this but for me it almost felt like realizing I was trans all over again. It felt like I was actually seeing myself for the first time in my life. I've always thought I have a good side and a bad side and that my bad side was horribly ugly and almost deformed looking... but as a woman I even like that side! It blew me away.
I do have a naturally more transfeminine hormone profile, had natural breasts (gynecomastia) as a teen. Sadly they were surgically removed (devastating, now) but at age 16 in 2002 when I had no idea trans people even existed, it felt like the only option. Thankfully they leave a cap of breast tissue which I found out is actually helpful for redevelopment of that area.
I guess I'm just wondering if, with HRT, FFS, electrolysis, and of course makeup and contouring, could I ever actually look remotely like this? I don't have money to pay for any of it right now but because of my health timeline I have some time to figure it all out. I don't expect to actually look this perfect ever, but even ~70% of the way there I feel like would make me the happiest girl in the world.

Been on HRT for 4.5 years and have been getting gendered correctly now for a while in public/day-to-day interactions. The one place I've struggled is in the workplace. I used to be in a corporate remote job and even though my pronouns are displayed I've unfortunately had a few people who were problematic and would misgender me :(
That might be due to my voice and being in a managerial position which unfortunately I think people still associate being a "leader" with masculinity (of course my cis colleagues who were also managers don't continually have their womanhood undermined thoughš). I currently out of work and am searching for a new job but have been a bit in my head on whether I pass or not during interviews/interactions with potential employers.
Looking for advice here if I pass or not, and also open to other tips to pass better.Ā Thanks <3

Who the heck wants a 50yo trans femme model? Well⦠more than ānobodyā, it seems!
Donāt get me wrong. Iāve earned a total of $100 in gift cards and 2 free professional photo sessions (which have been unclaimed as of yetā¦but is actually a good deal). But itās fun AF! And it works to keep my head out of the dark places for a bit.
My wife has okād me to buy the yellow dress! Itās Birds of North America. Itās not cheap. But Iāve also never had a form fitting dress look even remotely good on me before!

This is more a vent than anything else, but I had a minor anxiety attack last night as I was grasping this concept. I am in my 40's. Been transitioning for just over a year and a half. I was born in the 80's when transitioning and being transgender was really discussed in "polite society" and especially not in my home, which had a heavy religious layer over everything we did.
Through the past year and a bit of therapy I've slowly been unpacking my childhood and realizing signs of who I was at multiple points. Trying on my mom's mascara and lipstick when my parents were away. Watching my sisters get new dresses for Christmas and wishing my new clothes were as pretty. Realizing that my desire to only get black pants and a white shirt was because I didn't care what I was wearing because it wasn't what I wanted to wear.
All of these things and others that were clues. But what struck me last night was that since about the age of 8, almost all of the friends that I choose were female. Although in school and through activities, I was often grouped with the other boys and when given the choice would much rather be involved in their activities. I remember being invited to my friend's birthday party and being the only boy there. And having such a good time.
Of course I didn't have the language to know what I was feeling or desiring, and I definitely didn't know I could change these things. I think I asked my mom one time about boys wanting to be girls (not in that exact language) and being told "God doesn't make mistakes".
I thought the only solution was to try to make myself more manly. Play rougher sports, force myself to like "guy" things. Grow a beard. Try to be just "one of the guys".
I'm happy now, I've moved away from a toxic religion, I am able to be me openly, and to realize what love for myself actually means. I just wish it hadn't taken 3 decades of burying what I felt deeper and deeper to be able to put into words and accept who I really am.
(Added a photo of baby me, and me last week)

In July 2025 my egg was about to explode after 30 some years of holding it together. Started HRT in late December and took my authentic image in late June 2026. This next year I will start laser and the process for FFS. Other than merging two images, no filters. Donāt know how to use those.

Not sure why I'm smiling, I was out in the humidity changing security camera batteries and it is miserable outside.
And I'm still pushing 70, though I think 69 is the perfect number to stop counting at ...

I am a 63 year old trans woman now 2 years on hrt. Hrt is doing good and I see the changes, subtle but beautiful. Now my problem is that before I transitioned I really tried to live a normal life. That was a clusterfuck if there ever was one. I started these amazing relationships that all failed because in the end the women wanted a man in bed no matter how many orgasms they got. So they all failed. So one of them led to the birth of my son. The mother abandoned us after 3 months and I brought him up alone. He just finished school and is trying different things. On too of it he told me his mom is basically on the street and I took her in as well. They are both aware that I am trans, call my by my new name and on the surface its good. But underneath I still feel like I have to be the man, responsible for everything. And I just dont get a chance to live my femininity out. I still have to be in control or otherwise nothing will get dine. This is exactly what I dont want anymore. How do i deal with this?

Maya, 39 here. I started HRT in february 2025. It has been a crazy time. In the last few months i fought a lot with anxiety and depressions. I finally feel better and start to recover. In march i had my orchiectomy amd i am looking forward to SRS in 2027. I feel like HRT was even nicer to me after my orchiectomy and i am very happy i started this journey š
