Oh BTW.... Anyone know what's going on With Burtin Racing? Martin Ragginger had that incredible run at Indy, buuuuut things have gone strangely quiet. I actually emailed and called the shop directly to get the scoop, and got absolutely nothing. No call back, nothing. Sooooo I don't know. If anyone has some paddock rumors or inside track info on their status... Please drop it in the comments!

Hi all,
My son got the racing bug (finally!). He is 10 years old and I am planning on bringing him to his first Trans Am race in a few weeks at Watkins Glen. The catch is that I have never been to a TA event myself, I have been to plenty of MASCAR events but have always heard TA is a far better experience for fans, specifically younger ones.
We plan on going up Saturday (about a 1.5 hour ride) and I am just curious on a few things with what to expect. What should I make sure we dont miss? What is pit access like? Any tips for the youngster to ge tthe best possible experience for his first time?
Also, we do have passes for the whole weekend, however I thought we'd go Saturday then potentially feel out for Sunday as well.
Hopefully this is a good place to post this!

The Bricks are Ready! Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli Returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a 60th-Anniversary Crown Jewel Event 🧱🏁
The wait is finally over. For the first time since 2023, the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli is making its triumphant return to the racing capital of the world: Indianapolis Motor Speedway (June 18–21).
This trip to the legendary Brickyard stands out as an absolute crown jewel on the 2026 calendar.
I reached out to a few folks in the Trans Am world to get their thoughts on what returning to Indy means to them, and they did not hold back.
David Pintaric (TA Driver of the #57 BirdsEyeViewProject/Kryderacing Ford Mustang) told me: "To win a Trans Am race at Indy would be the ultimate highlight of my career."
Stanton Barrett (TA2 Driver of the #88 T8T Energy/Acellis/Hertz/SBM Ford Mustang) shared his thoughts on the magic of the track: "It'd be pretty amazing to win at Indy. It's always a magical place to race no matter the series. A lot of memories there in the past. Being able to kiss the bricks would be an honor."
Trans Am Series President Andy Lally shared his excitement for the weekend: "I am happy for both the fans and the drivers that have the chance to watch and take part of some amazing racing when Trans Am comes to Indy. This road course has produced some amazing moments at what is obviously one of the most prized places on Earth to win a race. I can't wait to watch the action as well as watch our winners line up to kiss the bricks!"
Both races will be on Racing America and on the Trans Am's YouTube!
TA2 Series race is at 9amCT
TA Series race is at 1pmCT
For a full breakdown of the entry list and what to watch for this weekend, check out my entertaining preview show.

Hi everyone, sorry, I am invading your sub as I am not a race fan. But I have a trip planned this summer to Watkins Glen for hiking, and realized we will be there during the Trans Am series, so bought my husband and teenage son (who do like racing) weekend passes. I am trying to figure out my itinerary for the trip. Would you say the "main events" or more exciting days to go are generally Saturday and/or Sunday? I am very sorry if this question is painful or makes me sound like I have no idea what I am talking about. I don't. So I appreciate your patience and info!

I was happily surprised to find out that Trans Am Series is running at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational weekend in June. Will be much more fun to watch than Formula 4. It is weird that IMS is not promoting it on their website or app yet. Maybe they are waiting for a more definite schedule.

The Daytona 500 is the most prestigious race on NASCAR’s calendar, to the point where if a multi championship winning driver doesn’t win that race their legacy will feel incomplete. Which race historically on the Trans Am Series calendar from the Pony Wars, to the 90s, and even today does that best describe in your opinion?
