šŸ’Ž Rare finds Bourhan Oud - Royal Aromatic

This is a blend of Henry Jacque’s Oud Jebreen, Henry Jacque’s Oud Amour, and Burmese oud. The oud Jebreen is comprised of oud, Taif Rose, Saffron, Ambergris, Musk, and sweet accords. All I can say is wow!

The Oud Amour brings a woodiness, jasmine, musk, and a slight powderiness.

This is a blend fit for a king. Well, Oud Jebreen was made for Sultan Qaboos. But this blend is really up there in fragrances I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. The sweetness is what gets me. I can’t quite put my finger on it but it’s like licorice, cinnamon, star anise, powderiness, sweet florals, and cloves.

This is a really special blend that I will cherish and try to keep for a long time. It sold out quickly even though it had premium pricing.

Soil grade agarwood gets almost zero hype. Hardly anyone ever brings it up in discussions, so most collectors completely sleep on how cool it actually is.

This is a blend of Ceylani Qadeem, Hindi Qadeem, Cambodi Pursat Qadeem, and Aged Malaysian Sarawak. It’s very woody like the smell inside a tool shed. Accentuated by a nice cocoa scent. Leathery and woody notes are intense. The woodiness feels like freshly chopped wood 🪵but it feels more nuanced and not your standard woodiness scent. The antique furniture note is strong here. I’m getting deep rainforest vibes and sour notes as well. Very nice.

Perfume/Spray Faizal PrivƩe - Hindi Love Affair

Post image

Right off the bat I can pick up that deep Assami oud and spiced Indian mango 🄭. Also within this beauty is Hindi rose and Indian saffron which is giving it these sweet honey and dried hay notes. The black and pink pepper provides a nice heated lift. The ginger provides a comforting warmth which reminds me of when I put ginger in tea ā˜•ļø to mend throat ailments. I feel lucky to own this which is in the FP vault now discontinued. A very addicting perfume from FP.

🧪 Attar and Mukhallat Recommendations

Recently stumbled upon a blended attar oil that was passionfruit + rose + oud + leather but leaned more towards the passionfruit side rather than the oud/leather side. I guess this is the oud maracuja style blend but the seller doesn’t ship so wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to find more similar to this.

šŸ’§Dehn Al Oud Naga Ruh - Oudique

Naga Ruh

7/15/26

11:35pm
A little bit barnyard-y, a little bit blue cheese-y, lots of hay coming through, warm, tinges my nose a bit. Much more mild barnyard than Assam Nur. More of a horse stable than a goat farm. Has a sort of smoldering quality, where it smells ā€œwarmā€. From a distance, you can pick up a lot of smoky-ness. When you smell it up close, you get more of the dry hay, a bet of Wed wood coming through now (interesting mix between the smoldering feeling + wet wood, an oxymoron). Bits of leather (saddle leather) coming through now. A little bit of sweetness poking up.

12:19am
The barnyardyness has dialed back a bit, now it’s a strong hay and saddle leather with something slightly cheesy sweet. This is fun, it dances between dry hay and sweet cheesy saddle leather. Reminds of me riding horses in Texas with honeysuckle blooming nearby.

1:32am
Dry hay and dry leather, a bit of dusty spice, like a black and white peppercorn. Tall overgrown Texas grass, waving in the wind at dawn on a hot summer day’s eve, after a long drought on the prairie. The horses are kicking up dust as you run them through the flatlands.

1:44am
Powerful sillage. Taking the dog for a walk in 80 degree weather. Oud oil was applied to top of each wrist. I can smell it as I’m walking, hands by my sides.

3:14am
Cedar saw dust. Hay. Leather has died down. Quite dry, not much sweetness left

This is a thick, deep, and rich gazelle blood 🩸 colored oud that has facets of leather, damp forest floor, sugar cane, berries šŸ‡. It has a very slight note of rubber which I find delightful. It’s from 8 different regions so there is definitely a clash of aromas. It’s a pure delight!

Agarwood Shadha Oudh Jalal wood sticks

I can’t get enough of these sticks
The smell is absolutely amazing. Beautifully sweet, nutty with leather and musk. And I’m not too big a fan of Hindi wood, prefer the far east, as I always felt it was too rustic and spicy as opposed to a Cambodian which hits the sweet jammy balsamic spot from the get go. But, this one defo hits the spot for me.

I burn it on salt as I prefer a slow burn to appreciate all the notes, hence why I didn’t want to wait around for the bubbling of the resin, but it bubbles up quite a bit.

Shadha Oudh Jalal oil and wood are definitely up there when it comes high end Oudh oil. In terms of longevity and depth, it’s artisanal quality for me.

Hey guys hope everyone is having a blessed sunday.

I blind bought half a tola of arabian oud mukhallat nadgy malaky, and a 3gm of jinx basic ghalia II.

what am i in store for smell wise? Going off the notes that are advertised it sounds really nice, but i know that can be deceiving especially with ouds.

Im a massive fan of mixtures, animalic oud, rose, leather and musk.

🧪 Attar and Mukhallat EO - Rugosa Ravagosa

Post image
4 Upvotes

This is a beautful Attar composed of oud and a menagerie of rose absolutes and rose ottos. To name a few: Georgian rose otto, Persian rose Otto, Taif rose Otto, Japanese red rose Otto, rose, Taif rose, May rose absolute, and Turkish Damask rose absolute.

It's very floral and very stemmy. Yet, somehow it's not overwhelming and is very smooth. I think the oud tempered the floral notes pretty well. I'm picking up the musky notes of rose pollen. Very nice!

šŸ’§Dehn Al Oud u/Faizal_Privee_frags - Burma PrivĆ©e

Well, now that this out of stock and is a collectible, it has made it that much better to enjoy.Ā

The opening is rich and dense with marine saltiness, yet light and airy at the same time. There’s a slight herbaceous scent I hadn’t picked up before that I did this time around. It’s fleeting and not so in your face. The dark syrupy consistency reveals a complex smokiness and slightly sugary caramel and jasmine aroma to the oud. It’s luxurious and well-rounded. I wish I could describe what I’m experiencing but I’de call it ā€œmelted woodā€. This has hints of Badshah but I prefer this one. This is one of my favorite oils.

Cambodi Sultan
By Oudique

7/9/26
1 dab on either wrist

3:50pm
Intense woodiness. A bit of fertilizer, mulch, and cedar wood chips. reminds me of Home Depot gardening section. A bit smoky, very cedar forward, a touch rubbery, reminds me of gardening in spring and going into the tool shed.

4:20pm
The fertilizer has toned down, this is full on cedar wood chips. A deep red cedar. Now I’m thinking of those red cedar log playgrounds they used to have in the Poconos. The rubber notes are starting to blend into the wood notes. Something sweet is starting to develop. Like a red cedar log playground with a honey bee hive on the side.

5:10pm
Now it’s a bit drier, spicier, smokier. Still red cedar forward, sweetness has taken a step back. Starting to get animalic undertones - different from the fertilizer/mulch front end, this is more of a ā€œfleshā€-y musky animalic. It’s like a soft warm glow. The dryness is making me imagine a bit of pine mixed with the cedar. Imagining a giant redwood forest in autumn. Dry leaves, a distant bonfire, hiking through the woods, cold mountain air warmed by breathing through a balaclava.

8:50pm
Peppery cedar! Pepper facets coming forward.

🧪 Attar and Mukhallat u/scent_talks - Kehwa Samarkand

Post image

It starts out with a strong burst of cinnamon and coffee. Later on, nutmeg and cardamom provide a nice warm spicy bite and make their way through along with Persian and Taif roses. Various spices and bergamot are softened by black tea that sits atop a base of various ouds including Assam, Prachin, Nagaland and Bengali ouds. The bergamot really cuts through well across these heavy scents including the roasted coffee, musk, ginger and saffron. This is a beautiful smoky coffee-forward attar.

Note: some of the attar was lost as I clumsily knocked the bottle over. Salvaging it I smell like a complete coffee spice bomb.

It opens with a balsamic fruitiness akin to dark fruits šŸ‡. It’s smokey, charred, has notes of tobacco, and is resinous. It has a leathery sophistication that permeates throughout the wear. It’s deep, rich, smooth, silky, and luxurious. A beautiful wild variety.

🧪 Attar and Mukhallat EO - Marwa

This is a wintery type of attar I thought I would re-visit. The sweet ginger 🫚 scent of the calamus combined with the warm woodiness of the spikenard, and the sweet scent of cinnamon make this really enjoyable. The myrrh provides a licorice-y clove uplifting to the whole composition while the frankincense adds a citrus edge. A really fantastic attar indeed.

šŸ’§Dehn Al Oud AlMokhlif Oud - Floral Malaysian

Initial hits of leathery, rubbery notes. Which then morph slowly into subtle floral, woody, and dried apricot accents. It brings a calm chamomile feel to it that is more like wearing a calming perfume than an oud oil. Again, the scent evolution is beautiful. I’m getting nice green tea notes.

🧪 Attar and Mukhallat u/scent_talks - Prachin Hind

I’m trying to use up the supply of scent talks attars to justify buying his newer creations. This one is one of my favorites as it focuses on the rose and musk. It has a number of Hindi ouds, and Prachin Oud. Also, it has musk, amber, saffron, sandalwood, Jasmine grandiflorum, Jasmine Sambac, and Taif rose.
