Ik ga morgen met een vriendin (beiden 17) naar The Odyssey bij Pathé Spuimarkt, Den Haag maar ik kan geen ID meenemen, wel mijn universiteitskaart, denken jullie dat ik door de controle heen kan komen? (Zij heeft btw wel haar ID mee, dus beetje dom allemaal)

Gisternacht heb ik de hele avond wakker gelegen vanwege een schreeuwende man die allerlei rare uiting deed, ik kon horen dat hij heen en weer liep door de wijk en maar door ging. Het begon rondt 3 uur maar hij is naar mijn beleving tot zeker 5 uur doorgegaan. Het is overigens niet de eerste keer dat dit gebeurt maar ik had er afgelopen nacht bijzonder veel last van.

Hij maakt beledigend uitingen in het Nederlands maar ik hoorde een Marokkaans accent, zo iets als "wallah, ik neuk al jullie moeders".

Kan ik hiervoor de politie bellen als dit nog een keer gebeurd, en ben ik de enige die hiervan wakker lig?

My dog Balou is a 1-year-old rescue from Spain. He’s a sweet, curious, and people-loving boy who is still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs. He’s not aggressive—just a bit unsure and sometimes gets overexcited, so we’re working on building his confidence through positive experiences.

I’d love to find one or two calm, well-socialized dogs to join us for parallel walks at a comfortable distance, letting the dogs get used to each other at their own pace. No pressure for them to interact—we’ll just let them do their thing while we walk.

Hi! I see a lot of posters in the city of 'Roeland de Korte' offering Dutch lessons. It has a price of 15 euros per hour which seems very cheap. Does anyone have experience with these lessons?

Ik ben al een tijdje op zoek naar een leuke club in Den Haag. Hiervoor heb ik van mijn 10e tot mijn 19e bij Oliveo in Pijnacker gespeeld. Inmiddels ben ik 23 jaar en wil ik het voetbal graag weer oppakken. Het belangrijkste voor mij is plezier en een gezellig, vriendelijk team. Hebben jullie aanraders?

My wife and I are going to The Hague for a friend's wedding in August. Aside from the wedding itself, we don't really have any plans yet. We'll be staying in the Zuidwal/Kortenbos neighborhood for a week. I think we're probably going to leave The Hague a day or two early to visit Amsterdam before we leave, but that still gives us several days to explore the area.

So, any strong recommendations in the immediate vicinity of our location? Or any common tourist areas that maybe aren't worth it? Any advice is welcome. My wife and I are in our mid 30's. We like cool bars, restaurants, architecture. A noteworthy art museum could be nice. Also any suggestions for how to best enjoy the canal scenery, if such a thing exists.

I’ll be based in The Hague for about 3 weeks and am training for a half ironman for just after my return. I’m trying to figure out the cheapest and most reliable way to get a road bike for that period. I’m open to either:

1. Renting a road or TT bike for ~3 weeks

2. Buying a decent second-hand time trial road bike and taking it back home with me.

If anyone local knows good shops, rental places, or second-hand marketplaces that aren’t overpriced, I’d really appreciate the recommendations. I’m not sure on what a reasonable price range is in Nethlands compare to home (Australia).

Also looking for cycling route suggestions (50–100 km) around The Hague, any tips from local riders would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

It currently displays all the upcoming activities that I was able to gather, however I am sure there are a lot more that I am unaware of.

The idea behind the site is to also crowdsource information regarding activities, so you can easily “Suggest an activity” on the site via the button.

Hey guys, maybe a weird question but I’ve been searching for a nice birthday card for my overseas friend (though it doesn’t matter if it’s in Dutch) but every spot I’ve looked, which admittedly has mostly been grocery stores, only has really lame ones… Is there any place you would recommend looking or am I better off just trying online?

Ben je veilig thuis gekomen gisteravond? Nadat je een behoorlijke smakkert maakte op de trambaan in Zeehelden, toen een volle 2 seconden moest kijken hoeveel vingers ik opstak (het waren er inderdaad 3), en je daarna nog 2x omviel én op je eigen -dure- bril ging staan, vraag ik me af hoeveel koppijn je vandaag hebt. En of je kaak nog heel is; ik hoop van wel.

NL: Op vrijdag 17 juli is er een groep van ongeveer vijf kittens (ze lijken allemaal jonger dan een jaar) opgedoken in het groen achter mijn appartementencomplex. Twee van hen lijken cypers te zijn en de rest heeft een donkere vacht.

Mist iemand deze kittens of weet iemand waar ze vandaan komen?

Ik heb contact opgenomen met de Dierenambulance, maar zij kunnen helaas pas later volgende week langskomen omdat ze het erg druk hebben. Ik heb geprobeerd de kittens met voer te lokken, maar ze zijn erg schuw en rennen meteen weg.

EN: On Friday, July 17, a group of about 5 kittens (they all seem to be under a year) appeared in the green area behind my apartment complex. Two of them seem to be tabbies and they all have dark fur. Is anyone missing kittens or do you know anything about them? I called the Dierenambulance but unfortunately they won't be able to help until next week (they are backed up) and I tried to lure them with food, but they're quite fast so they run away.

Update: Een specialist op het gebied van verwilderde katten (die ook vrijwilliger is bij de Dierenambulance) komt later vandaag langs om naar de kittens te kijken. / A feral cat specialist (also volunteers for Dierenambulance) will be coming over later today to take a look at the kitties :)
