The Silver Jubilee Bridge (connecting Runcorn and Widnes) and nearby All Saints Church in Runcorn are supposedly filming locations for The Batman Part II. The production will utilise these bridges and the Mersey Tunnels to stand in for Gotham City setpieces. apparently they were location scouting when Erik Messerschmidt posted the last image on his Instagram.

Created this diorama for The Batman. Recreated the Riddler's Sanctuary and tried to get it as screen accurate as possible. The Batman figure is from Inart Collectibles and the Riddler is a custom that I put together. Took about 18 months to finish this but am super happy with the end result.

The marketing for Clayface so far reminds me of when Sony tried to make general audiences think Venom was in the MCU. They're using a similar color palette and a logo that looks a lot like The Batman and The Penguin from the Reevesverse. It just feels like they're trying to market it by making people associate it with the critically and financially successful universe, even though it isn't.

There's a chance some of y'all ain't comic readers but whatever y'all probably read Riddler: Year One so bare with me on this one:
The reason I chose this comic in particular is because as you all may not know, this comic was written by Mattson Tomlin.
Might not mean anything but in a way it kind of does because he's one of the writers for the first The Batman movie (although uncredited) and is the current writer for The Batman: Part ll.
I overall like it, like the art, nice lil story and some interesting choices overall. But I def understand why some wouldn't like this either (for one, it's very wordy lol)
Apart of me does wonder if this was a scrapped early draft of the movie that Matt decided to turn into a comic. Would've been quite the bizarre and daring to make it as the first movie (a very depressing one even!), maybe with some tweaks this could've been the first while the one we got coulda been the 2nd.
Anywho, what do y'all think of it

Surely filming has to be in public view at some stage? I wonder if we’ll get on set photos that confirm who Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson and Brian Tyree Henry are playing?
We got a fair bit of set footage and photos from the first movie but nothing spoilery if I recall.

first post kinda nervous
This post maybe was done before in this sub (sorry, i am new here), but i keep asking myself this question — i love Sofia Gigante and despise the Penguin. Do y'all think they'll have a role in the Batman part II or will be just mentioned in quotes? Maybe just a quick scene like Joker in the first film, idk. The show itself expanded the universe a lot, really enhanced the world building of Matt Reeves universe. But at the same time, with all the rumours of characters showing up, i am afraid there will be too much characters to work properly, and some of them will have to take a backseat
What are y'all thoughts

I wholeheartedly believe that showing Batman’s eye makeup even whilst he isn’t wearing his helmet, was the best decision Matt Reeves could’ve made. I only wish that other directors who will direct future Batman films will continue doing this.
Art credits go to @02png on X.

With the latest news of Part 2’s delay, a whole lot of people have been talking about how it would be a “good decision” to end the Reevesverse after Part 2 finally releases to make way for the DCU’s new Batman. I have no idea why people would prefer that happening to getting more stories set in The Batman’s world, as I have no faith in the DCU being able to make a better Batman movie than Matt Reeves.
Also, it would be pretty stupid to cancel these projects in favor of shows and movies like Supergirl and Lanterns (which I know hasn’t been released yet, but if the leaks are to be believed and through just the general feel of the show with the trailers, it probably won’t be what most fans want from a Green Lantern project) which are not nearly as much of guaranteed successes as The Batman or The Penguin were.
If one has to be stopped for the other to continue, I’d much rather take the Reevesverse over the DCU. In a perfect world we’d get a merge, which may be on the table now with Supergirl’s bombing, but I don’t have much hope in that happening.

I actually really wish we got to see more of the Batmobile in the first film. It was a genuinely great design. Definitely the most believable Batmobile to date. I wonder if it will be the same Batmobile in The Batman II with some slight tweaks or a completely different design?
I honestly hope it’s more or less the same, with a few tweaks.
Edit: I apologise for my ignorance. I’ve only just seen the post showing the Batmobile with the snow tyres! Amazing.

During the marketing for the first movie, reeves talked about having a psychological roadmap and roadmap for his trilogy. With all the changes and things that have happened between then and now, how similar to his original plan do you think part 2 will be?
