I planted my first terrarium about 2 weeks ago and dont know if my plants are doing alright. I had the pilea on the floor of the terrarium but it was starting to wilt and had a few few rot, so I moved it to the planter I set up. But now the fitonia and pothos are looking a bit sad. The alocasia also had a smaller leaf turn yellow, so I snipped it off.
I have it set for 12 hours of light and 30 seconds of misting every 12 hours, but have sometimes sprayed in a bit extra on the moss patches when they looked dry. It tends to stay between 50% and 80% humidity. I did just add two PC fans, one in one out. Will that help?
My substrate is a mix of organic potting soil (no added fertilizers or pesticides), spagnum moss, coconut fiber, and orchid bark with 2 layers of 1 inch aquarium filter foam as a drainage layer. I have some springtails that I added, but I think only 2 live isopods.
I am getting a crestie on the 25th, so I want to make sure everything is ready for the little guy. And I will be getting more isopods at the reptile expo, dont worry.
Is there anything I should change? Or are they still acclimating? Because the pothos and fitonia looked a little better before?
