I've been asking people what practice changed their life. The most interesting answers weren't about signs.

I asked a broader question in a few spiritual communities about which practice actually moved people. I expected meditation, prayer, or sign-tracking.

What stayed with me: people said the real shift happened when they stopped forcing signs to mean something and started trusting the pattern instead. It makes me think about synchronicities differently.

Maybe the sign isn't the message. Maybe it's a mirror showing you what state you're already in.

What's one synchronicity that showed up after you stopped chasing it, not before?

Synchronicity with a season's episode that took me by surprise...

22 has been a recurring number all of my life and a favorite one too (I have some good memories from my childhood attached to it). It was 22 July today and I was watching the 2nd episode of Sullivan’s Crossing’s first season for the very first time in the evening. This episode originally aired back in 2023. Near the end of the episode, the character Cal in it went up to the calendar in his room. It showed the month June. He then flipped the page to change it to July and as I watched with goosebumps rising on my skin, he ended up marking the 22 date on it.....
I kept staring at the screen for a bit in shock, not believing what I just saw. I mean, 22 July of all the dates?

Biggest synchronicity of my life

A few weeks ago I went to a park in Oslo, sat down on a bench, me and a random guy started some small talk. After about 20 minutes, another random guy came over and we all chatted for a while.

After some time one of the guys introduced himself and shook the other guy's hand, saying, "My name is Martin."

The other guy's eyes got big and he said, "What a coincidence, my name is also Martin."

I couldn't believe my ears. Then they both looked at me and asked, "So, what's your name?"

I looked up at the sky, long pause, then back at them and said, "You're not going to believe this... my name is also Martin."

The odds: Picking 3 random men from the population and they are all named Martin is estimated to be 1 to 2 million.

Key numbers: Male population (Norway): 2.8 million Men named Martin: 22,200 1 in 126 men is named Martin (0.79%) Odds that 3 random men are all named Martin: (1/126)³ = 1 in 2,000,376 (≈ 1 in 2 million)

Further modest estimate:

Three random men all named Martin: 1 in 2,000,000 50% chance the first two talk. 50% chance the third joins the conversation. 50% chance they eventually exchange names. 1 / 2,000,000 × 1/2 × 1/2 × 1/2 = 1 / 16,000,000

If we assume there were relatively few people in the park and that the three could have ended up at many different spots and different times, the odds become substantially lower, potentially on the order of 1 in 100 million or even rarer.

Anybody had a bigger coincident than this? Happy to answer questions to find a more accurate odds.

I keep seeing 11:11, 10:10, 12:12, and 4:44... coincidence or does it mean something?

Lately I've been noticing repeating numbers everywhere—11:11, 10:10, 12:12, and 4:44. It happens on my phone, receipts, the clock, and sometimes even random places online. I know there's something called the "frequency illusion" or "Baader-Meinhof effect," where once you notice something, you start seeing it everywhere. But part of me also wonders if it's just a coincidence or if other people believe these numbers have a deeper meaning. For those of you who've experienced this. Do you think repeating numbers actually mean something? Have they ever shown up during an important time in your life? Or is it simply our brains looking for patterns?

I'm genuinely curious to hear different perspectives—whether you're skeptical, spiritual, or somewhere in between.

A wild coincidence connected my dream job in NYC to a lost phone in a car-sharing vehicle

I've been dreaming of moving to New York for work for years, all the way from Italy, though as you probably know, the visa situation makes it complicated. Recently, my boss told me about a potential opportunity for both of us, based in New York, at another company; she wouldn't tell me which one yet, just that it could be a real shot at that dream.

The same day, there was a transit strike in my city. My boss suggested I take a taxi back to my house, but I grabbed a car-sharing vehicle instead. I ended up forgetting my work phone inside it, locked, with no way to see the contents.

That same evening, my boss messages me out of nowhere: a woman had found my phone and somehow managed to contact her. The phone itself was locked, so I'm still not sure how she got her number; maybe she just looked up her name online? Anyway, I reached out to the woman directly to arrange getting the phone back, and in the conversation she mentioned she also works in fashion, at a company I'll call "X."

I mentioned this to my boss, and she said: "Oh God, that's literally the company I couldn't name."

I know, I know, coincidence, not fate. But even the most rational part of me had to pause on this one.

Weird coincidences that keep happening to me. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm not saying I can predict the future or that anything supernatural is happening. I've always dismissed these things as coincidences. But after so many similar experiences, I honestly just find them eerie and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something like this.

It started with small things. Sometimes I'll see a couple and randomly think, "They're not going to last." Months later I'll find out they broke up. Other couples that I never have that thought about seem to stay together.

Then there was a girl I met on the very first day of college. I had never spoken to her, knew absolutely nothing about her, and after just looking at her I had this random thought that she had autism. I forgot about it completely. Later she was diagnosed with Level 1 autism. I'm not a medical professional, so I have no idea why I even thought that.

There was also a distant relative I hadn't thought about in years. One day I randomly asked my mom about him. The next day we got the news that he had cancer.

Probably the strangest one for me was when I suddenly became obsessed with reading about cancer. I was reading Reddit posts, watching YouTube videos, and even looking at research papers for no particular reason. It was completely out of the blue. A few months later my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I'm not saying the two are connected, but the timing has always stuck with me.

The one that has stayed with me the most happened when I was in 7th grade. My grandma was talking about my little cousin, who was around five years old, saying how smart she was and how great she would be when she grew up. Out of nowhere I remember thinking, "I'm sure she won't grow up." I wasn't scared or emotional. It was just a random thought that came and went.

The next year she passed away.

Another thing that still feels strange is that on the day she died, I happened to walk past her house. She lived far away, and that was actually the first time I had ever walked that far after school with a friend instead of taking the school bus. While passing by, I casually told my friend, "That's my uncle's house." Later that day we got the news that my cousin had died.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, where random thoughts or interests later lined up with real events often enough that it made you stop and wonder?

My quadruple numbers have been speeding up the last few days along with a number of other thing

Longtime UFO researcher and I ended up being involved in the putting together how the entire Legacy Program was developed. This stuff for me intensified the same week that unknowingly my ex-wife was blowing up my marriage behind the scenes right before the UFO shootdowns happened in Alaska and the Yukon.

Looking back, I realized eventually that this was the beginning of what would become a massive spiritual awakening. David Grusch came forward to Congress, a month later my ex and I were at divorce, and I knew that whatever was happening was kicking in hard.

The roll out of Disclosure kept me moving through the grief of my divorce, and as this was happening I also recognized that major synchronies were kicking in. The numbers, the people I was meeting, some of whom I would run into randomly. Had a very close-up encounter with two call UFOs around this time low in in the up the block from me. Some other weird stuff before that maybe tied to one of the planets two years and then the other day that have the potential for harboring life.

Eventually I kept getting brought into tighter and tighter circles of my research and the synchronicities kept following and growing stronger. My collaborators and I now a doc in the works as well as a new research tool and some other things in the pipeline.

Recently I moved states to be closer to my good friend and research partner and very quickly met someone that I felt like I could let in for the first time since my divorce. Everything about our meeting and our similarities and things that would happen when we were around each other was acknowledged by both of us.

I made sure to my take my time with this and see how it played out, and over the course of almost three months things grew gradually safer and more connected. This was all at her work, and we never hung out or were physically intimate beyond our hugs. But every moment felt huge to me.

Something happened and the energy shifted, so I decided to give it some space but tell her how I felt over text. I didn’t hear anything back, but two weeks later my friend I finally caught Disclosure Day, and immediately following was a truly wild synchronicity that put us in each other’s orbit for these very short but intense-feeling run-ins.

The Twin Flame stuff came up and it’s definitely starting to feel like that’s a possibility. Over the last few days my intuition has accelerated as have my numbers as the world teeters on an edge as today as Barault’s Basket further locks into planetary alignment. I’m pretty she just suffered a big death I her family a few days ago, and meanwhile I’m trying figure out if we’re telepathically bonded. In these last same days, I’ve been getting my Twin Flame angel number as well as quadruple angel numbers non-stop. Definitely feels like everything’s speeding up.

Have you ever brushed off a coincidence regarding a person, only for things to keep coming up almost like ‘signs’?

What's a superstition you thought was nonsense until something happened that made you think twice?

Thumbnail

I used to laugh at superstitions and thought they were just stories older people told. But one experience still sticks with me.

A few years ago, a family member warned me not to travel on a particular day because they had a bad feeling about it. I brushed it off and left anyway. I didn't have a major accident, but the trip was one disaster after another—my vehicle broke down, I got stranded for hours, and I lost something valuable before I finally got home.

I still don't know if it was just an incredible coincidence or if there was something more to it, but it definitely made me stop dismissing every superstition so quickly.

Has anyone else had an experience that made you question whether some superstitions might actually have some truth to them?

Seeing 444 while dealing with a rough breakup

Hi,

I'm currently going through a rough patch where my ex has gone no contact and distanced randomly. We were friends for some time after breaking up but then this happened. He hasnt been picking my calls and it's pretty evident that he's avoiding me and idk why.

It's been very unsettling for me. I've been trying to get by my day normally but it doesn't happen. Today I saw 4:44 twice. Once on someone's phone screen, then 444 on my mom's socks. This has been very random but idk if it's actually random? Can it mean anything?

Repeating numbers

I’ve been trying to reconnect with my own energy as well as my spirit guides and ancestors. Since then, I’ve been CONSISTENTLY seeing 77 and 66. It’s mostly on my phone battery. It’s multiple times a day too. Can anyone help shed light on these two sets of numbers? I also see even times but not as consistently as this. My clairaudience and intuition has somewhat returned as well. I’m an empath and am in the process of trying to deeper understand myself. Any guidance is much appreciated.

People that seen more "negative" synchronicities versus people that see serendipities. I've read many people attribute this to manifestation?

So people who feel a bit more targeted with negative synchronicities versus people who see good luck like serendipity. I've talked to people in real life and seen numerous posts, articles about things like manifestation how people manifest it. The people who experience negative, might has actually been set up in a way to make them think more negative as a snowball point.

That said, I feel it has little to do with manifestation as I did try it before feeling very positive and it doesn't work. (Even on a subconcious level).

But I would be just more positive over all. Switching to songs that talk about being rich, or making money, to see if there is any increase in luck. (Songs like Welcome to Saint Tropez, Whatever you like) with a more main focus on money flowing in or having money)

My main point is not to meditate on it, but just to switch off from more other songs that talks less about those types of works and see if my odds for lottery, scratchers increase on "rate of rare buy".

By this I don't spend a lot only buy occasionally. For the record, even if the scratchers say 1 in 4 is win a ticket, my lost so far is ten in a row from rare buys here and there across the months. *To clarify, I do believe and see things that may behave as manfestation, but it's not really your own, but rather a check system. Similar to when you were a kid and want something, you may get it or not.

*Also to update, now it is 12 tickets I've lost. After seeing more "synchronicities" I drop to locations accordingly to buy scratchers but didn't win.

Spiritual Significance

Hey guys.
I’ve had a few occurrences happen of this. I’ll either hear a song play irl or I hear the song playing in my mind which prompts me to listen to it. Whatever song it is, the significance is linked to something happening in my life.
I was up at 3am and Bryson Tiller x Sorrows popped into my head. Listening to the lyrics I couldn’t believe it actually referred to 3am in the song, took it as a message of how he feels of me moving on. When this has happened before when we weren’t speaking no contact he eventually resurfaces. He has been on my mind so much lately. Being involved with someone else I really like and want to be with I’m having mixed feelings about all this ex stuff resurfacing.

Anyone else have similar stories with music specifically speaking directly to your current circumstance?

It must be a sign of the universe

When I had decided to leave my narcissistic family, I had an appointment scheduled with them. I didn't show up. 10 minutes later is when I guess they all started calling me, only to realize my phone number had been deactivated.

By pure, unplanned coincidence, at that exact time, I was exactly 10km right above their heads, on a one-way flight to a foreign country, never to come back.

A wrong turn led me to a weathered sign that said 'Trust the Journey'

I've been driving home from my mom's place on a winding rural road for years, but yesterday I took a wrong turn and ended up on a route I'd never seen before. The sky was a deep, foreboding grey and the trees seemed to lean in, casting long shadows across the pavement. I wasn't paying much attention, lost in thought, until my car's wheels crunched over something hard.

I pulled over and got out, noticing that I'd driven onto a dirt path that led through a small, abandoned orchard. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. As I stood there, trying to decide what to do next, I saw it: a weathered wooden sign, half-hidden in the underbrush. It read "Trust the Journey" in faded letters.

Something about that phrase resonated deeply. I couldn't explain why or how, but as I gazed at the sign, I felt a sense of recognition, like I'd stumbled upon an old friend. What if this detour was more than just a mistake?
