Get 8 lobby stars, complete BitDW, crack slide passed 30 star door, continue to the end as in other any% runs.

Any means of bypassing the 8 star door is banned.

While comparing the 2012 TAS and the 2026 TAS, I found that the 2012 TAS gets the "Chip off Whomp's Block" faster. Is it my mistake (which would be true if I didn't re-check several times and still got the same result) or is it some kind of global optimization? Anyone here knows?

Just a simple question that came up in my head. But please I need to hear from everyone.

I am 100% certain that I have gotten every single star and have spent several days trying to figure out where my last one is. My counter is at 149 stars. I have gotten all 8 stars from each of the 15 main courses, and then I went and checked for every single secret star again. Sunshine isles, battle fort, the glowing rabbits, the white room, both princess slide stars, both stars in each of the cap areas, both stars in all 3 of the levels where you unlock Mario Luigi and Wario, the secret aquarium, “!” Switch area, 8 red boo coins in the courtyard, talked to all 3 toads, etc, etc.

I saw some posts here on reddit with others experiencing the same thing and am trying to figure out if this is a confirmed bug.
