Highly potent to do Voice exercises+ reading aloud + taking a cortisol dampener herb??

Anyone tried this??
It seems reading aloud anything for one hour a day (even better with poem + quality literature) seems to warm up my language instrument of my brain and combining it voice exercises seems to train correct breathing from diaphragm, block recovery muscle( like not pushing through block but stepping back and saying it again lightly/fluently), correct speaking technique and managing active stress on the spot.

Separate from this, I tried to use two types of supplement stack- one that is too stimulating/androgenic like Tribulus + black ginger- it is too powerful that I can overpower any stutter/anxiety. I tended to become fluent not by using behavioral technique but the engine was too strong I can push through anything, not just stutter but tough life problems as well. Drawback was when I stopped it and the engine is tapering off, I didn’t have the mental techniques to fall back on.

Then I used a strong stress adaptogen like ashwaganda which eliminated drops cortisol significantly and all worries, as if I didn’t give damn about anything in life. I could be shouted at work and I am totally okay with it. I have no stress response. No motivation to do anything but also no worries. Which also tended to enhance my stutter significantly because the nervousness was gone and I could take my time to reply to someone. I know supplements may have tolerance and risk.

I am looking forward to combine this reading aloud which voice training + supplements to carry me through med school.

Has anybody tried this combo or similar??? I truly feel like it is would make a big change for most people with stutter.

Why do I sound like this and how do I fix it

Whenever I meet someone new most of the time they tell me I sound exactly like Walter white jr. to me I sound nothing like it but when I record my voice and listen back and I sound like I have some sort of autism or disability. I don’t have any current learning or physical disability but I got a Iep from kindergarten for speech delay that I still get to use today I remember having voice therapy but that was years ago in kindergarten I’m entering 11th grade. I wouldn’t call it a lisp I just sound like how people with autism sound. I’ve been wondering what I have and if there’s a way to sound more normal

I'd rather be mute than have a stutter.

Every single day I spend out in public is horrible. I just know I'm gonna humiliate myself somehow. I try to act happy. I try to act like it doesn't bother me. But it's hell.

I can't do presentations without sounding like an idiot. Everyone laughs at me. Everyone bullies me. Everyone hates me. No one wants to be around me because I'm just known as the "Re*ard boy". I hate it. I hate it so much. I just want people to leave me the hell alone and let me live my damn life.

I didn't give a crap about my stutter until everyone else made it a big deal. I've had it since I was 7. I'm 17 now, and it's just getting worse and worse.

In total, I've gone through 5 years of speech therapy. Nothing worked. Nothing made me feel normal. I stopped going to sessions because I realised it was pointless.

Every single day is torture. I can't do everyday things without nearly crying from how frustrated I am that I can't talk normally. My own FATHER talks shit about me behind my back. I try my hardest to make him proud but I can tell he would much rather have a son who didn't have a stutter. It's so hard to accept the fact it's never gonna go away, and I'll just have to live with this until the day I die.

I've never been in a relationship because of this. Anytime I try talking to a woman, my words get stuck and I can see the exact moment where she realises how bad my speaking is. She tries to rush the conversation or leave by saying something like "I have to go somewhere", but I know damn well they just want to get the hell away from me. They never speak to me again after that.

The worst part is that no one accepts me for it. All of my family tells me to try improve my speech or go to speech therapy AGAIN. My teachers make me read out loud and present despite the fact that I tell them that I would like to do those things privately with them so I don't embarrass myself.

People who don't have a stutter don't understand how lucky they are. If my stutter magically went away, I'd do absolutely everything I could. I'd start voluntarily speaking in public. I'd join a drama club. Anything that would make me enjoy being able to speak normally again.

I don't understand why I have this. No one in my family has ever had a stutter. Is this a cruel joke by God? Because if he wants me to hate him, he succeeded. He did a very good job at making me realise that this so called "all loving god with infinite power" does infact NOT love some of us, and gives us horrible disabilities to entertain himself.

Do fluent people know how lucky they are? (+ small rant)

Imagine just being able to speak, and that’s it. No struggle whatsoever. I can’t even imagine what that might be like. It’s seriously beyond me!
I’m young, but I’m looking to form a career in the entertainment industry. I’ve gone for many auditions, but I’ve been shut down many times, which I assume is because of my stutter. Although it’s motivated me to work harder, I wish some people wouldn’t overlook others with disabilities in the entertainment world.
Oh well. I’m still gonna keep on trying. I ain’t got nothing else to do! I’ve gotta win sometime, y’know? It’s gotta be somewhere down the line.

How many of you speak second languages?

I have always been interested in bilingual stutterers - I find speaking other languages much more uncomfortable due to less confidence to wiggle around with vocab. Are there languages that are easier to speak structurally for whatever reason. Any input I would find very interesting.

I’ve always had a serve stutter ever since I could talk it’s never really gotten better but for those guys who think you won’t find a girl it’s all in your head. I’ve never had a confidence problem & trust when I say I pull women like nothing. Stutter or no stutter it just takes confidence.

[Survey] What helps you feel more confident while speaking? (1–2 minutes)

Hi everyone! I’m a student working on a design-thinking project about speech confidence for people who stutter.

We’re trying to understand which situations create speaking anxiety and what listener behaviors make conversations feel more supportive and judgment-free.

The survey is:
• Anonymous — no email addresses are collected
• For educational purposes only
• About 1–2 minutes long

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Your responses will be genuinely valuable to our project. 💙

if you already said that you don't like this stuff, but even the people you like and care reproduce this kind of behave, how you deal with it?

Stuttering made me hit rock bottom depression

It has ruined my life, it affects me in so many ways which I often don’t even think about because it’s so deeply engrained in me. Whether it is simply a social conversation or just a greeting, it always finds a way at putting me down.

Where did you meet your significant other? Has anyone ever tried meeting people on the street?
