So happy with this treasure that I found last week at a local second hand books/video store (BMV, for my fellows from Toronto), for only 29CAD.

Not a steelbook (I know), but a collector’s edition steel briefcase of Inception from 2010, with a lot of extras, including the spinning top :).

This will be my first time watching it, and I've somehow managed to avoid spoilers since its release. I've heard nothing but incredible things, so I'm excited to finally experience it for myself.

Backrooms is one of the horror movies that has surprised me the most this year. It might even be my favorite. Masters of Steel has done a perfect job once again.

Obsession and They Will Kill You custom steelbooks with embossed titles. Amazing quality, printed directly to steel. Highly recommend!

Daft Punk is probably my favorite group of all time and this animated feature has always been near and dear to my heart.

u/jonnyd005 absolutely crushed this. What started as just an idea in the Discord came to life in about 10 days (and that’s with an unforeseen printer issue!). He prototyped the design and helped pick the best options for me.

It probably reads like an ad the way I’m gushing about this, but Vignette was awesome. Highly recommend him for high quality customs with fast turn arounds.

Do big premiums (one click boxes) usually come out for brand new releases right away? I’m starting to put some money aside so I can get the biggest release of The Odyssey whenever that comes out.

I've seen some people on Etsy who do custom steelbooks, and I was wondering if there's any sort of taboo around them. Does a film have to be Blu-ray or 4k to receive steelbook treatment? Are steelbooks a sort of "prestige" thing where you buy them purely to show people your collection is better than theirs, or can they be like custom Blu-ray and DVD cases, where you can get custom ones done for regular blu-rays?

I am finally back home, I will admit that I spent way too much money on this trip. However I did have $70 of store credit/awards points. So I did technically get like two movies free. I'd rather spend a little extra money giving it to a little guy then giving it to Amazon personally speaking. And I'm happy with what I got. I had no idea until I went on this trip that Polar Express had a steelbook.

I know that it releases in about a month from now but I would gladly wait to see if Imprint Films released it. I know Arrow released Red Sonja on 4k then Imprint announced they would release it on steelbook. Thank you to any replies
