Question why my games decrease the amount of hours that I’ve put into the steam deck? I always play with connection to the internet

do you use the sleep function of the steam deck?

pressing the top button to leave it somewhere for quite some time?

I do, all the time

That counts as run time in games. So they do a little calculation afterwards to adjust it back to actual play time.

if you use it, it still counts the sleep time as played. after a while it gets updated to remove the sleep time from total played time

Off topic how does the force unleashed play on the steam deck? I've read many a review that it's a bad port that you need mods to fix it.

i didn’t play the original, because I didn’t have the opportunity as a kid. Personally? they don’t make games anymore like they used to (especially the star wars ones)

I’ve heard the complains about graphic issues and 30fps only. The 30fps didn’t bother me tbh on the deck and I didn’t stumble upon any graphics issues.

My biggest caveat is that there are no achievements. aside that, this game is AWESOME. I’m glad that I could experience it

Had a ps3 copy, but I lost it before I could play it. I've head a lot of good things about the star killer games. It's good to hear that it's plays well.

Is this a big deal?

I know that's such a non issue in this case, but in the long run, if you multiply it by let's say 10 games it's a 100hr "loss"

But why do you care about having a large number of hours played if you didn’t actually play it? It’s just illogical

in that case yes. I just thought and had a placebo that I spent more on that game, and that was my misconception which all of you clarified for me how it actually works. Thank you so much!

Its already been established in these comments, that wasnt real playtime. If it was you'd be close to 100% completion on force unleashed, its not very long. If you put it in sleep mode it counts the time in sleep as play time, then it realizes the mistake and corrects it.

It’s not an hours competition, enjoy the game and maybe share what you liked about the game. Recommend it to others if you think it’s worth playing.
