Does this need to be posted every day?

Steam has some levels of devotion that you will not find on organized religion.

I once saw someone dedicate a shrine to Gabe Newell on this sub, luckily people called it out for being weird but still

Free is free and a PC will play PC games regardless the app.
I always go with whichever store is cheaper, and you can't beat free.
Unless someone wants to pay me to play their game. Which I'd definitely do, lol.

But on the flip side there are people that will shit on you for saying something positive about Steam. In another thread I was just talking about how I don’t care for Epic, or that I don’t even bother with their free games anymore because it’s always games I already own or don’t have interest in. Had multiple people talking shit to me in comments and messages.
I wasn’t saying epic sucks, or the free games suck because they do sometimes give away some good stuff but like I was saying many times it’s something I already bought it got in a humble bundle. People just gotta not be crazy lol

To be fair, if the product/service is good, then its inevitable that some fans would be devoted to it.

In both situations I'm not paying or playing. There's a handful of EGS freebies that are worth it, and if you wait until EOY you can scoop up the good ones in their "free game a day" thing.....which I did for years and never played one.

I decided in March to start playing all of them because I had no idea which ones were even decent and I've been pleasantly surprised on more than one occasion.
I honestly believe both games this week are worth a look. Just make sure to give Echo Generation at least an hour because it is VERY slow to get out of first gear.

this. I just uninstalled EGS after my kids stopped playing Fortnight. I claimed a bunch of games. never played them.

I've just started playing them since I got a Steam Machine using Heroic Launcher.

I got almost a thousand free games on epic, no regrets. I'm a sell out I know but I can't help it. 😂

You know, I might consider it one day. Prerequisite is Tim Sweeney stepping down.

I dont have Epic installed, so I have no idea when they give games away for free. GoG will email me though and I always grabs those

Epic is objectively a MUCH worse store and manager. But Sweeney would rather cry monopoly than fix his shit lol

Steam has free games. Click the search bar and wait to see what pops up. Sometimes shit is given away for free. Today I claimed a 100% off game.
Sometimes the games are ass but sometimes there are gems

I reinstalled egs for my school work cos we need to use UE5 and I still don't play any of the games there
Like the only ones I will play there is DDLC+ and among the sleep but because I was lazy in the past I just bought killing floor 2 on steam lol

The only good ones you get from EGS have DLC that are NOT free.
Or you can scoop the whole thing up on a sale. Not rocket surgery.
