A bit old, still felt happy he replied.

2019 was good
But the rest?
School children probably loved it, 24-7 gaming with online classes in which you can just easily cheat

u/FishGuyIsMe May 30 '26
I started a YouTube channel and filmed videos between classes. I propped my phone on my Chromebook, and pointed it at the Xbox screen and uploaded that footage immediately with no editing. Pair it with 6th graders voice…. I got 14 views, which is 14 more than I deserved

u/Bubbay May 30 '26
True, but I think in most jurisdictions this is clear grounds for an annulment.
97
u/Smartypantz34 May 30 '26
Statistically theres a big chance they have already divorced

u/S7zy 32 May 30 '26
Wait really? Do most divorces happen in the first couple years?
114
u/McBeefnick May 30 '26
No but they mostly occur by married couples.

u/Evil_Umbreon May 30 '26
Infertility is partially genetic. If your parents couldn't have kids then you guaranteed can't have them either.
16
u/Otherwise_Demand4620 May 30 '26
35%-45% of marriages end in divorce, and since I know of two marriages that ended by death, it is likely that this marriage ended by divorce because I don't know many married people.

Gabe might just be waiting for the wedding to go on sale to pick it up for 90% off. Bet it's on his wishlist.

invite gaben to the divorce
7
u/ArenjiTheLootGod May 30 '26
Invite him to the divorce after party.

u/qucari May 30 '26
only if he can handle the tension and awkwardness of sitting through the entire session with both lawyers
then immediately propose to gaben at the after party

Try getting him to attend the divorce. And if it doesn’t work repeat the cycle

u/hsvgamer199 May 30 '26
Plot twist it was op's third marriage otherwise Gaben would have come. Gaben is extremely allergic to that number.
109
u/ghost_tapioca May 30 '26
It's the date. He'd be okay if it was scheduled for the 1st or 2nd of July. Unfortunately, any number above 2 is an outlandish concept for him.
18
u/WorldWarrior428 May 30 '26
Numbers above 2 don't really exist, its just a conspiracy put there by multi government conglomerates to make people think their richer than £2
→ More replies (1)3
u/GastricallyStretched May 30 '26
The date was 4 July 2020; Gaben had a premonition that year would be trouble.
3
u/stilljustacatinacage May 30 '26
He's not allergic to the number, he just lost faith in /u/neXt1991 after the second marriage. You can only watch the same self destructive habits play out exactly the same way so many times, you know? After #2, Gabe felt it would be best to keep some distance and maybe give OP space to reflect, rather than give any misconstrued sense of approval for charging headlong into a new commitment.

No point in getting married anymore
22
u/DoTortoisesHop May 30 '26
Not when they can go for a "no reason" divorce
Lol. I remember that "prove me wrong" youtuber bitching about that endlessly. He wanted like a servant.
105
u/Neo_Artista May 30 '26
ask him again... he declined it back in 2019, who knows he might accept this time
11
u/SubArcticTundra May 31 '26
Make sure to start a new email thread tho or else he'll notice he already refused
191
u/SillyRecover May 30 '26
Bro, this sub. I can't tell if people are just trolling or if they think this dude genuinely cares about them enough to go to a random wedding.
137
u/SiomarTehBeefalo May 30 '26
It's fairly common for people to invite random well known figures to their weddings because there's no real risk involved. Worst case, and most likely case, they ignore it. Best case they show up, maybe with a wedding present, and you have a fun story to tell others years down the line.
83
u/FreshCause2566 May 30 '26
apparently Queen Elizabeth II actually attended someone's wedding after they invited her not expecting her to show up.
33
u/SippieCup May 30 '26
Like every other celebrity with a good media grasp, if they are there already they make a 10 minute appearance. But she did not ever go out of her way.
13
u/JenovaJireh May 30 '26
The couple who got married during Bad Bunny's SuperBowl performance sent him a random wedding invite, imagine that leading to him inviting you to get married during the halftime show lol
3
u/neXt1991 May 31 '26
Yes. I also invited the German chancellor and got an autographed photo and a nice letter back lol
Edit: back then it was Angela merkel
16
u/Steamed_Memes24 May 30 '26
Someone once invited Keanu Reeves who was filming a movie near by for their wedding and he actually showed up. You would be surprised even though something like that is rare.

This makes no sense to me, a wedding is supposed to be YOUR special day, YOU should get all the attention, not some random-ass celebrity.
12
u/RiimeHiime May 30 '26
If you're a big fan of someone, them showing up to your wedding could be more special to you than being the center of attention.
That being said, most of the weddings I've been to have been lower-key affairs to begin with.
3
u/Kaleidoscope-360 May 30 '26
Also if I was a celebrity who wanted to make a random couple's day who invited me, I would show up to the reception to take pictures and let the couple have their fun asking questions or whatever, then leave. So as not to draw attention during the ceremony and derail the reception for the whole evening.

It was funny back when it was still kind of a new idea/joke but nowadays famous people especially on Gabens level probably get a thousand emails a day asking them to come to random shit. It's probably just annoying to them at this point more than it is funny.
9
u/adeliakasie May 30 '26
I mean ngl if I were a famous celebrity and a random person invited me I would show up cuz it would be funny. But for like once or twice cuz after that a lot of ppl would ask probably.

I truly don't mean to disparage OP, but why do people feel the need to immediately screen grab and post all communication with Gabe? If I'm him, I'm never communicating with the public again. Seems like a betrayal of good faith and his openness to respond to people. Can't it be cool enough that he responded to you, and leave it at that?
Again no shade on OP, I'm talking more about the hundreds of posts like this and the, as i see it, societal cancer that compels people to do this.

u/amathyx May 30 '26
