It's fairly common for people to invite random well known figures to their weddings because there's no real risk involved. Worst case, and most likely case, they ignore it. Best case they show up, maybe with a wedding present, and you have a fun story to tell others years down the line.
Like every other celebrity with a good media grasp, if they are there already they make a 10 minute appearance. But she did not ever go out of her way.

Someone once invited Keanu Reeves who was filming a movie near by for their wedding and he actually showed up. You would be surprised even though something like that is rare.
The poor guy doesn't want to be treated like some deity. He just wants to be Gabe but constantly he gets all these stupid emails which get immediately posted for the lulz.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Keanu just was present and happened to see the couple getting married. He didn't show up from an invitation.
Also if I was a celebrity who wanted to make a random couple's day who invited me, I would show up to the reception to take pictures and let the couple have their fun asking questions or whatever, then leave. So as not to draw attention during the ceremony and derail the reception for the whole evening.
It was funny back when it was still kind of a new idea/joke but nowadays famous people especially on Gabens level probably get a thousand emails a day asking them to come to random shit. It's probably just annoying to them at this point more than it is funny.
I mean ngl if I were a famous celebrity and a random person invited me I would show up cuz it would be funny. But for like once or twice cuz after that a lot of ppl would ask probably.
The Gabe dick riding is the worst part of this sub, and it’s unfortunate that those seem to perform the best so it’s the ones that show up the most on my feed.
I truly don't mean to disparage OP, but why do people feel the need to immediately screen grab and post all communication with Gabe? If I'm him, I'm never communicating with the public again. Seems like a betrayal of good faith and his openness to respond to people. Can't it be cool enough that he responded to you, and leave it at that?

I don't know how Gabe maintains such good temperament with a constant deluge of Internet-memeing retards spamming his email with nonsense. He must be paying some PR firm to deal with all these surely.
Technically he didn't decline he just wasn't able to make it. Don't think of it as he didn't want to but as he was really torn up about the fact he couldn't attend.
I had my account stolen like 15 years ago and support did nothing, so I found his email on some random website and sent him an email asking for his help. My account was unlocked the next day. He never responded but I always assumed it was because of that email.
